Agree,... also with the technologie is not at the state it could be from what we know so far.

I`m sorry, don`t want to sound too harsh my friends.. we are all fellows here :)
Only thoughts was to get the right honor on the oldie volcano with respect.
It was the first working unit which I tried from beginning and this is a long time until now.

I hope that everything will fixed soon for you :leaf:

I also noticed Vapefiend had taken his Mv section off his store.
Most likely just pissed off dealing with some faulty replacements.. They'll be back up on there I'm sure once the dust of the recent issues settles

Also, sorry, I've not gotten round to field testing the Ratchett cap covers yet.
Soon.. Very soon my friends

wow, so sorry to hear that several of you are still having trouble getting replacements and that miniVAP was even pulled from a big reseller.... I hope you all all get working units soon, and I hope Hermes pulls it together and can stay in business.

Currently so in love with mine...so much so that vas turned to gas...

When doing the research before deciding to go for a minivap I concluded that I'd rather be an early adopter of the "new volcano" (minivap) for the same price that I'd pay for a unit which has been around for years and what I considered "old technology" at that point.

if someone wants to go the safe and tested route, one might get the Volcano as a base vape and go exploring from there.

I agree with this, but the problem is that the MV has been around for years! So when I ordered mine I was really looking forward to receiving a high quality vape that had been around and had received really good reviews from everyone, which is why it's a let down to receive something that doesn't live up to the hype.

What I think is the shame is that Hermes had a fantastic product, and in trying to improve on it they seems to have made it worse, and at the same time they seem to be loosing their reputation for being a quality product and that's a huge shame for the company.

I have faith though and I'm sticking with them, I expect they're working their nuts off at the moment to address these quality issues and get back to selling a first class product. I'm looking forward to receiving the latest model in the hope that it's every bit as good in terms of flavour/taste, build quality and cloud production as the old models were, if not better! :D

Ok so got to testing the @Ratchett cap cover and it does what it's supposed to.
I'd prefer it to be more solid as opposed to with plenty flex, as I found it to be.
In terms of using it hands free right of the bat, forget it. The standard nipple will fold over, and we don't want that, however it wasn't designed with this in mind.
Now, I mentioned the idea of mating the Hermes glass adaptor. I used my 14 version for this. Perfect.. Hands free.
It's a god send as I actually broke my cap by having to be quite heavy handed to achieve the required spring lock kind of deal with my silicone pieces above on the cap with the cut flexicone beneath.
Problem now solved. Couldn't be happier with this set up.

Also, my solution to dull sunless (aka no vape o clock) days.
Works a treat. Quite unobtrusive too.

Almost there...
Happy to say that my replacement MiniVap is still rocking my world on a daily basis!
Usually start out on Pink and sometimes go to Green to finish off th basket, although I have been finding that Pink gets me nicely browned ABV without too much hassle!

A bonus is that the small basket is enough for both my wife and myself before bed!
Nothing better than vaping in bed before passing out for the night!!

Tried some White Russian last name night, new strain that is super strong and high in THC!!!
Wowzer!! Medicated beyond belief for a few hours!!! Blasted through the tolerance like it was not there...

Still thinking about the new glass core though... May try and see what the chances are of just buying the new glass heater section so I can try both!!

This is still an amazing vape!!!

Which is better to buy Volcano digital or minivap

modnote: you've got your own thread for this. let's not clog up this model specific thread with the same comparison.

After 15 days of ordering hussle, finally my Herbie whip is usable now.
I`m very happy with its quality and the cold vapor producing is really cold.
First experience was not that good, because of some mistake I`ve made and finally got a haircrack in my lid :(

After all, I learned to use this whip in combination to the miniVap.
The Best way for me was to use the hardflexicone with the lower mp plasticpart sticked into the whip.

My Resume and thoughts are, if you have a mV then you need also a Herbie whip with the SS MP for best experience. :)
Feels really good and a lot a fun too.

You'll have to ask them about availability and shipping. But if you get it from them it should be the latest model and not have defective parts.

Is the latest model going be glass or teflon? I thought they were moving to glass even though you reported preferring teflon?

I wanted to order a silver model from their site, but I wasn't sure what I was going to get. Also does anyone know if they're still sending out beta units? I don't want a beta one as shipping back to Spain would suck. (I'm in the U.S.)

I would wait if I was you! Vapefiend is the main dealer in UK and they have still taken it off their site since I sent mine back!! Or email Hermes yourself, they seem to reply pretty quick... Hope this helps

Ps they sent me a glass core, the one thing I noticed was it was quite a hot vape! Even when used with a long whip! I've not used the Teflon version...

Why wait if he's ordering directly from Hermes?
because it's a lot of money!
Well if you look at my email I had from Hermes they seem to think everything is okay! But would say that's not quite true! Like I said vapefiend has pulled the minivap from its shelves and Hermes usually sorts them out before everyone else!

It's okay everybody bigging up the mv but I have had problems with it so I know first hand! And I also know that I settled for a volcano and felt immediately I was getting more for my money, and I know everyone says that the volcano is old technology but I definitely get bigger more comfortable hits from it than I did with the mv! And I'm no stranger to vaping I've owned many!
