Ok so im getting 4 sessions from a full battery, next start up shows red (charge now).thats 2 on green and 2 on red.
Just charged to full solid green light then ran 2 sessions back to back (1green 1 red) whilst still plugged in.
It shows flashing yellow top light after it times out. It does this for 5 mins then goes back to flashing green light to show is charging.

It's looking more and more like there are two versions out there. What we need now is a report from a guy with one in each hand saying 'this one does it, that one doesn't' I think. I think my Brother in Law's is newer than mine (he got one plastic top stem, one all glass). I'm going out to visit in the next week or two, I'll check his out. It sounds like 'nobody can miss it' but he has normal color vision so that can be eliminated.

BTW I tested this last night. A 200 mAh charge from locked out (enough for part of a session only) behaved exactly like a full charge 'light wise' near as I can tell. However, and I don't think this has been mentioned, the start up time gets constantly longer as the charge goes down? That is it's just under 1:20 (just over a minute) fully charged on mine, but 2:45 when discharged. This makes sense to me since it runs 'full blast' to temperature and the car with the biggest engine (power wise) makes it to the end of the strip first even if they leave the traps side by side.

Well folks, my test is complete.
On MY Arizer Air, the so-called 'battery indicator light' does not ever change color on mine. Always a brief flash of light blue (as opposed to the dark blue), then the standby flashing blue, from full charged to drained.
Did you get the same results @OF ?
Does anyone else have a model that does differently ?
Please share your experience along with the 1st 4 digits of your serial number, located on the box it came in (mine is A1OU).
Thanks again FC Forum, I'd be lost without ya !

Yep, sure did. Nothing different (although I can't confirm the color of the flash, it looks blue/white to me, it looks brighter to me).

It seems many folks are seeing color indications of battery level though, perhaps even more of them than there are of us? Hey, we might have the collectable first additions? Did yours come with two plastic topped stems (of slightly different lengths) like mine did? Most seem to have a short all glass stem instead of the second (longer) plastic topped one.

Let the inquisition continue!

I got mine the day after Randy received. I assume it's a new unit. I have one short threaded plastic top and one longer, non threaded, straight glass stem.
I haven't figured out the battery indicator if there is one, and I don't see it on here laid out in layman's terms.
There's a short all glass, no plastic stem?
I take the tip off because it restricts flow too much but the glass gets too hot.. needled to say I use the all glass long one.

On another note, I looked at PV. What do you guys suggest for an all glass stem with better than stock airflow?
I get clouds now but on occasion Id like to get rips like my eq gives me (as close as a portable can, in my case I think my pinnacle pro after comparing)?
Link appreciated, would like to order today

well, @OF , mine came with one short stem with screw-on plastic mouthpiece, and one regular stem which is slightly longer (also came with aroma dish, stir tool, flower packet, and info (ha) sheet).
I'm quite happy with mine but would appreciate some warning when the battery is getting low.
Not a huge deal, I just vape until I can't, and switch batteries.
However, my curiosity still begs you all to chime in with your serial numbers and experiences regarding a battery charge indicator.

Mine was another Black Friday purchase and I only get the initial light blue fast blink on the top light and then the standard blue idle light. No battery indication that I have noticed. I would love to see a video of these "upgraded" models

I got mine from Arizer during the black Friday offer, it came with 2 tipped stems (a small and a slightly longer one) and the serial number begins with A1ZOA8000..

Thanks very much, basically identical to my experience.

It seems more and more like there are two different versions of software out there........

Et tu, Photobooth? The plot thickens........

Thanks.

More info on my purchase, got it this month from PuffItUp, via Randy directly.
As another twist, I got an extra battery, the red one, which is 1 digit higher in its make number than the white/gray one which was in the unit (VL3/VL4).
However my money's on Randy giving me the best unit he could.
I second the motion of someone making a video of their battery indicator pre-ignition light that's been talked about. I can make a video of mine if y'all like, it just briefly flashes light blue.

Bloody hell wish i could, im doing this on my mobile.
Im happy to, but how?
I will note which one lights up. Top or bottom etc. But it defin goes green yellow red
Edit: Ok just looked. Switch on top light shows green then goes to flashing blue, waiting for level to be chosen.
It does this for 2 sessions. Then goes to yellow for 2 sessions. Then red-charge

Mine has battery indicator. Serial no. A1U0206610

Thanks. I think that blows the 'serial number prefix' idea? Didn't one of the 'no indication' S/N start A01U as well (I assume the 'missing' 0 is a typo, I think they all start 'A01'). Then again, we've assumed they're serial.......

@OF apropos your color issues, how's about askin your better half to help out, or a friend.

Thanks, but not very useful unless that person is there every time.....and doesn't mind. I hope you can see how that's not a practical solution?

Of course I do that sort of thing when necessary (try working in electronics where color codes abound). Surprisingly some are annoyed by it (like you're needlessly bothering them again.....). Given time I can also often separate red from green with a simple red filter (blocks the green but not red). In the case of Puffit they actually use two different LEDs but a common widow. So opening it up, baffling off one (so it didn't show) and drilling a hole in the top to see it again fixed that (not practical here either, of course).

I think it's just a matter of not considering it. Gather up half a dozen or so guys, it's probably not an issue for any of them. BTW, ever notice how the HA V2 uses a very colorful display new from the useless red/green of the V1? Wanna guess how that happened? Some of the Canadian makers are wise.......

Thanks, I think that cinches it. No way folks can be missing that, even color blind ones worse than I am. On mine the upper LED only ever shows the same (dark) blue after the bright flash, and yet it changes colors to set heats, which I can see if not name. Has to be different software?

I believe I'm in the same exact boat as you fellas.

Still would like input on best ripping upgraded stem.....

Bought mine the weekend it first came out the serial #A1z0A80230. I get a quick light blue flash then the idle blue, then goes to heat when I press again to lowest heat level, blue, white, green, yellow and the highest heat which is red. I see no battery indicator.

EDIT
The heat levels I use are the very low blue, white then I go to green. The 2 upper heat levels are too hot for me, way too harsh. Also, depending on the herb sometimes the green is too harsh.

Mine came with the two plastic tipped mouthpieces with the threading one short and one a little longer. It also came with a Solo straight stem.

Yeah with vaporizers you get more flavor, But the Air clouds are much larger than the Mflb, and the Air taste much better.

Wait a min so there's Air's out there with battery indication? Mine most certainly does NOT do this, Just a light blue flash then a normal blue every time, Well unless its in the red. The serial on mine is A1z as well. I got mine during the black friday sale.
