You never know haha, some people are just really clumsy with their vapes and drop them or something similar. I heard about the massive amounts of heating element failures and looks like you got the bad end of the stick there.

Boy if I dropped and broke six FFs I think I'd pack it in and find another hobby.:lol:

Let's see...two had uncontrollable combustion, one on day one, one after 90 days...three just stopped working (coil failure, but the lights still worked!)...and one ran too cool and apparently had some weird substance coating the coil...very odd. There was even one more in there, a replacement that never worked right...heater would shut off after 8 seconds and throw a red light, even on a full charge.

Guess I've used nine, although two of them only for 48 hours. I freaking own the bad end of the stick. I can only imagine what vape crime i committed in a past life to generate this karma. Despite it all, I still love the hell out of my FFs. Whichever ones are in my possession at any given moment.

I fear my battery is inefficient. Than again I've probably vaped alot more than most. I was able to run all my abv through the dbv I got today too. Suprisingly I only got a hit or two off of each ABv bowl. I've nearly killed an eighth alrdy between ff and dbv and here I thought vaping was conservative
do any of you use it outside and on the go? I was thinking little vials pre ground aND a back up battery?

I've owned EIGHT FF's in the past 14 months. I use my FF's every day, and have probably logged over 1200 FF bowls since Dec '13.

1200.......:o:clap:

My personal estimate is 40ish? And battery is doing terribly. How's yours?

Well...I've been through six, sort of. Three are depleted and usable but barely...I have three newer ones in rotation for about a month now. Their performance so far is...erratic.

Random thoughts :myday::

1. I started using a new battery a few weeks ago. Right from the start the battery light on either FF (I have 2) was glitchy after charging this battery: When I plug in the recharge cable, the light is flashing blue, as is normal, but when fully charged the light turns red instead of solid blue. I disconnect the cable and everything seems fine, the battery has been fully charged and is OK to use. Don't know why the red light turns on after a charge, but as long as it works I don't really care. A different battery still charges normally in either FF.

2. My draw technique is now: very slow draw, but interspersed with a couple seconds of fast draw. The slower the draw the hotter the vapor, but the bit of fast draw is to help push out the vapor from the lower part of the bowl.

If your battery's are new and they aren't faulty then they shouldn't be dying so fast unless you keep your battery's very cold which drains the battery also if left in an extremely hot place. If you let's say fall asleep while charging it can damage the battery to where it stops holding it's charge or where it starts to die faster ala cell phone battery. And for everyone that can't get any clouds of vapor it's because of your breathing technique don't forget to account strain of bud. To get clouds inhale slow and steady once u start feeling That vapor tickle your throat keep inhaling because you will blow out a cloud that looks like combustion. If you are a light weight and just want a soft chest hit with no bite and very very light vapor u inhale faster. BTW once u press the button in just wait till you see the beauty of the firefly shine then u immediately start to inhale DO NOT start inhaling as soon as u press the button unless it's your second hit and beyond . Happy vaping. #WavyVaporizers

marketing of that sort isn't particularly good for the industry at large. :/

see also: fucking beer commercials... :/

fabronaut,
Yes, they have some issues with facts (like "the battery charge lasts 45 minutes"....huh?). But if you look that good in shorts that short, well, facts are just overrated.
muhaha as if I actually paid attention to the details haha.

Anyway, for you guys practicing Pipe tobacco in the FF, i've come to notice that slightly dry tobacco performs better compared to fresh tobacco. I cannot explain this since one would be under the impression that fresher pipe tobacco contained more moist compared to slightly dried.

I started to notice after i used some pipe tobacco in my grinder and left it overnight, And tried the somewhat dried tobacco and was totally surprised.

Some clouds there! Other than "it probably combusts faster" which it definately isnt, i cannot explain this anomaly.

Well I've been using my enano paired with water exclusively for a month or so.
I'm out and about this weekend and I was nervous the FF wasn't gonna be light.
I'm here to report that we sting like a bee:nod:

This seemingly contradictory fact is well known to people who are experienced in vapourizing cannabis. Dry loads vapourize better because no energy is diverted to removing water. Drying out the material first removes the moisture but does not affect trichomes. Nicotine, like the actives we love in cannabis, is contained in trichomes.

I should also add that moist material tends to lead to dirtier equipment and thus more frequent cleaning.

I always leave at least one battery on the charger usually both. The new batteries suck.
Really? I don't have a second battery so I'm guessing maybe the battery's that come stock are better than the newer ones you purchase as backup maybe? Idk but I do kinda want another battery but one battery kinda helps me conserve Mrs Jane because I do come from heavy dutch master combustion so now what I used to put inside one blunt gets me 4 to 5 bowls on one battery session but I'm baked on my second which is why I'm happy I
Those girls are not included. And im sure they dont vape lol
Either they did it cause you know women love attention and get it nj o matter how good or ugly they look as long as what they have on is very appealing lol or plain and simple sexy sells.. majority say if a 2 shops sell the same exact product for the same exact price but only one of them is ran by women the one with women will be the one selling more of the product

I bought my firefly when it was a new product, with an extra battery. Later I bought an external charger. My batteries seem to perform much better than this latest batch, they must have changed something imo.

Well I've got my replacement in. They just received mine on Friday, and sent out a replacement immediately with next day so thankfully it came on Saturday so I was able to sign for it again. Excellent service right there (or mere coincidence?)

Anyway new ones working well, seems my other was defective in how it was pulling more power than it was supposed to. Wonder why though cuz it was fine fore a few months, hope it wasn't by using the bad battery I have (the one that flashes green when its close to fully charged instead of staying solid blue) bc I'd like to still use it as a third spare.

This one does seem to but differently than my last though, a little hotter perhaps unfortunately bc I liked the consistent tasty hits I was getting before, now more stirring seems to be necessary but I also have a lot more testing to do ofcourse...

Even if your battery is "bad" I wouldn't worry about using it with your new FF. It won't cause any damage as far as I know.

As for the new FF being "hotter"...it's probably my imagination but every time I receive a new FF it seems to run hotter for a few weeks, and then, not so much. This has happened with like the last four FFs I've been sent. Not sure how that would happen (maybe some buildup on the coil...though that would be very bad and bode ill for the long-term future of the device)...could be my imagination, but it seems consistent.

This would bother me more if I weren't positive that both of my current FFs will be replaced again at least twice more before the warranty expires.:lol:

I received an email this am regarding a sale on an extra battery/external charger combo for $40. They, and a car charger, have been on my list to pick up, so I jumped to purchase.

So now three times filling out the order form(unfortunately, the auto-fill only works on the city, state, and zip fields??) I keep getting an error message, "Gateway Error: This transaction is declined."
I've since send them an email regarding the issue.

Anyone else run into this or have any ideas on how to navigate through?
TIA

It's working for me...though I didn't finalize anything since I'm not really buying the combo. But I got all the way to payment options.

It might be working for me because I already have an account. If you don't have one already, try just setting up an account with an empty cart. Then go back and put the stuff in your cart, make sure you are signed in, and see if you can proceed from there.
