next generation e-nails?

Dramma Lamma

Looks like a job for!
When I traveled a wall adapter was a simple and cheap object only like $30 or so.

HOWEVER it did heat up considerably in the time it took to charge a battery, so if you were leaving it on for a long period of time with a device like this which draws a lot of power it could be a fire risk.

Perhaps call a local electrician and see what they would charge to install an outlet in your home with 110W? Or if that's even a possibility, not really sure but a quick phone call to ask is free. If nothing else that's the qualified person to chat with about power conversion IMO.

I know drop downs have been discussed here and I just received my order from DKGLOBE on DHgate so I figured I would share my experience.

http://www.dhgate.com/store/product/2pcs-lot-glass-dropdown-14-4mm-female-to/215586818.html

I was able to get 6 different drop downs for only $25.59 with shipping :D

All of them do have a few bubbles where the joints are welded to the bar, but hey it's from China for $4.27 each. I didn't expect perfect quality haha ;)

These drop downs are sold in lots of 2. I didn't want 2 of each drop down so I messaged the seller first asking if I ordered 3 lots for $25.59 would they be able to send me the 6 different drop downs they offer. He said yes and I asked if I should leave a comment on the order during checkout and he said yes. So I placed my order and left this comment on my order during checkout:

"Please send these 6 items: 1 - 14mm female to 14mm female; 1 - 18mm female to 18mm female; 1 - 14mm male to 14mm male; 1 - 18mm male to 18mm male; 1 - 14mm male to 18mm male; 1 - 14mm female to 18mm female; Thank you!"

3E47B0CF-8A84-4A63-9C29-93AA180EFDEB_zpslkidvadc.jpg

These 4 are perfectly straight:
18mm female to 18mm female
14mm male to 14mm male
18mm male to 18mm male
14mm male to 18mm male
*note: the 18mm female to 18mm female has a slightly longer tube compared to the other 5 (the one on the very right in the pic)

This one is slightly crooked (not bad at all though. maybe 5-10 degrees off):
14mm female to 18mm female

This last one is pretty crooked though (usable, but not straight by any means. probably 15-20 degrees off I would say)
14mm female to 14mm female

I re-ordered a lot of the 14mm female to 14mm female. I am hoping that one of the two new ones I receive is a little straighter. If not no big deal because it was less than $9 lol.

So if you are looking for a cheap drop down, I would recommend this seller.

If you are looking for perfect straightness, this is probably not for you (unless you get lucky like I do where the majority are straight. However, this could have been dumb luck and others could be pretty crooked too. So buy at your own risk)!

Anyways, even after ordering a second lot of the 14mm female to 14mm female adapters, I have only spent $34.12. Pretty damn affordable for 6 drop downs IMO :)

I spent $40 for 2 drop downs (14mm male to 14mm female and 18mm male to 18mm female - the 2 that DKglobe does not offer for sale) from GreenBuddhaShop. They are perfectly straight, but you can tell they are made in China like the rest of his stuff. the 14mm one has the bar welded on the left side of the joints and the 18mm one has the bar welded on the right side of the joint  Not a big deal but I was kind of like ummm  ha!

I wish I would have purchased those 2 other drop downs I needed from AmericanGlassStudio on iOffer. I have purchased a few of their rigs and they make pretty good quality stuff for the price. They are hand made in NY too by Apollo Glassworks :D

http://www.ioffer.com/i/10mm-14mm-19mm-glass-drop-down-oil-rig-bubbler-adapters-585133923

I think @Monsoon ordered some drop downs from AGS on iOffer so I am anxious to hear about the quality.

There are also this one which is made is "Hand Made In Southern California"

Yeah I definitely know about oshwn0 on iOffer. I have even bought a few smaller rigs from them back in the day. I know they say their products are made in the USA, and they very well could be, but for me it is kind of hard to believe because a lot of their items are found on DHgate and the few rigs I did order definitely weren't the best quality…For the price they were okay, but I could get the same one off DHgate for half the price and probably similar quality.

Not sure. It might be. Welds look fairly clean, however I also have pieces from China that have clean welds, so it's hard to say if it is US or China.

For the price, I would say it's from China with a slight mark up IMO. Kinda of like what thickassglass.com does with a few of their pieces.

really hard to find a rig that isnt from china and isnt that expensive. one thing im most scared about buying china glass is since im really clumsy i usually tip my glass or bang it by accident.

Affordable and quality and american made don't usually go together and that's why what you are looking for is so hard to find. But that's exactly why I buy China glass! I am clumsy too so when I break a $30-40 piece I don't feel nearly as bad as when I break a $100+ piece.

And ever since I have been buying and using China glass I have actually broken fewer pieces lol! I think it is because I know it is cheap and if I do break it it is no big deal because it is easily replaceable unlike a more expensive piece.

Most pieces, whether made in america or in china, will break if they take a good hit to drop. China pieces will definitely break easier, but they are much more affordable to replace.

I bought a 70$ honeycomb water pipe somewhere on ioffer which was made in america, my god youll be surprised how much abuse its been given and nothing ever happened to it. When its in my hand im just enjoying it and next thing i know i bang it on the table a couple of times, kick it over, dropped it in my sink. So on and so forth no problems or cracks at all, Ive been using this water pipe for one year and a half or so. Only problem i had with it was a small blemish on the connection part when i received it, i think the water pipe was 5mm thick or 7mm.

I wish I could find a dropdown with a reclaim dish. I found one but its included with a piece and I emailed the people about selling me one separate and got no response. Pretty standard with most companies.

^^ looks very interesting but wont the reclaim just get sucked into the small hole to the long part?

I actually own that one. It doesnt work. Nothing goes into the dish. I was better off with a dropdown.

What I need is something with a collector at the lowest point in the vapor path so gravity helps out. Ive looked and looked and could only find one piece SORT OF like what im after.

http://dankstop.com/pulse-glass-oil-drum-vapor-rig-with-built-in-reclaimer/

Thats more or less what Im after but I want the reclaim dish somewhere else. Id take one of those if I could find one separate tho.

here was my solution to a reclaim collector. right above the jar there is a push so the vapor has to travel thru the jar. gravity brings the claim from the nail down to the jar

@PoopMachine It looks cool and all but wont the reclaim go into the hole in the dropdown instead of the reclaimer?

In that one, yes but thats not exactly what Im after. I want to move the reclaim dish to the bottom of the drop down. So the vapor would actually come in above the dish and gravity would pull it back down into the reclaim dish.

You could even use the dish end to stand it up for draining into.

I cant believe no one has made one of those yet... Ive literally spent hours looking for one.

My Gimido e-nail arrived safely! I had to pay the taxes/duty to the DHL guy at the door but they only marked the value at $100 (instead of $400) so that was a nice surprise.

My Domeless.com nail and cap is still in the postal ether (hopefully it will get here soon), so I wired up my OmniNail with the 16mm coil which is working okay. Due to its design you need to run it hotter (at 890F now) and it's not ideal but it works well enough. It's also going to take some time to find my sweet spot on it too.

I also got the $20 Infiniti clone with it but it's shit quality and gave off a weird taste even after cleaning. It feels too light and there's no finishing on the metal, edges are rough and there's wire in the screw tube.

Can you repost your photo, looks like the tag broke.

EDIT: Just found the user manual for the Omron PID that my e-nail uses. Not sure how it all applies to e-nail use but it has a shitload of options in there. Lots of potential for tweaking if you can get navigate their horrible menu system.

I think you mistaken what i ment, i mean this one.
http://dankstop.com/pulse-glass-oil-drum-vapor-rig-with-built-in-reclaimer/

Wont the reclaim not go down the reclaim catcher but itll go to the small hole through to the stem?

On that one yes. Like I said, thats not the design Im after, Its just the closest one I can find. What Im after is something like this:

CCF01272015_00000.jpg

Sorry for the terrible artwork. But in my version, the reclaim dish is at the end of the tube so it can all come into the tube and gather and gravity and a little help from a torch will just drain it all into the dish.

The dish will be held on with a k-clip.

I have a analog Dnail and use a ceramic nail. I want to purchase a Quartz nail for my Dnail. Does anyone have any recommendations? Hopefully under $100 but want American made. I am chinese and am not against chinese products, but trust the U.S. more on Quartz. Appreciate any feedback. I have the 20mm heater.

I have a 710 Whip and Gimido E-nails coming in the mail! I can't wait. Anyone use them with HE InfiniTi?

Hey Richard! Welcome to the forum!

Those are both very good choices my friend! What Gimido e-nail did you get?

I haven't used mine with the HE InfiniTi but I have used it with the Ti-Ten domeless nail.
http://www.ti-ten.com/collections/frontpage/products/titen-titanium-enail-20mm

It's such a solid nail. I love how it fits 10mm too :)

I have my Gimido Nice Dabs e-nail set to 625 and it is absolutely perfect with this nail.

I think the HE InfiniTi should function similarly my Ti-Ten nail if you got the barrel coil so you so have a very nice setup.

If you got the flat coil it should also work equally as good. The temp will just be different :D

Let us know how you like them!

EDIT:
Fuck yeah my New-Vape 16 hole domeless e-nail just got delivered to my PO Box

http://new-vape.com/2701-enail-head-20mm-coil/

Will be doing a review of this beast tonight or tomorrow
