ok so my air arrived and ive tried it out a few times but i dont seem to be getting the biggest clouds, i have the heat setting on green and after say 5 minutes or so of taking rips my weed is still quite green. So my questions are, how much weed do you put in the pipe and how far do you push the pipe into the chamber?

...I'm probably wrong here,..but I seem to remember that on the solo,..when you first turn it on...it blinks a determined color according to battery life...

Yes, Solo flashes the battery level using the seven LEDs for heat steps. There was some talk about a color coded indication at power up on Air, but those claims all faded when specific details were sought?

Does anyone think this (battery charge indication) is a feature on Air.....and will you please clue us into how to use it? TIA

I'm pretty sure its does...show the level..battery wise at start up...
Iv been using some full 18650s to get them to about 60%...so I can store them properly...thanks OF!.
but from full its green...I use for 2 of the 4 sessions and change it...
I noticed it went from green to white at start up..back to green..then the normal blue....
So,..could be green is full...and everything under would initially flash at start up...then back to green to reset itself,..then to its normal blue...?

...there was also the last temp feature on the solo....
That could have something to do w/ something....

You're talking about the bright, short flash at start up? I sure can't read anything useful there, do folks with normal color vision? This changes our collective understanding of Air I think?

Yes beep on and off with up arrow and 'last level recall' with down work as with Solo (although I wish the beep was a little louder....). It's clear one is based on the other, if not in code in function. They want us Solo owners to feel at home with Air.

Thanks.

...yeah....
Iv found that a full charge is green....when I put in a 1/2-60% charged battery,..its white at start up...then back to green..then good old blue....
Its gotta be...
Its favorite color is green as it is,..and its synonymous w. GO....so,..seems like its base color...
The buttons....only thing I kinda am on the fence about...the solos were separated and distinct...iv already muted my air a bunch...the buttons are on one line..so my fat fingers half ass press one n not the other sometimes...
And...the beep
..I too noticed the beep was a bit mute compared,...but that might be on purpose... I mean the air is stealth as it gets in a port...and its resemblance to an ecig mod is close....so,...they probably figured it would be pointless to have it all small and what not w/ the solos beep..which was much louder...and I personally like better...but the muted beep makes sense in that aspect I guess.

Try leaving your herb out over night , it's prob to wet and that is why you are getting these results or your machine is not heating properly .

well I hadn't been to FC in a while, but something drew me back and I think it was this..

First I want to see some video of it working and it working side by side with a Solo ( that I know I all ready love. )

I wish they would have made it a twin 18650 device so it started with 8.4 volts and went down instead of trying to ramp up one 4.2 volt battery. I want to hear what some real electrical engineer types think about this?

I don't like to think about a carrying extra bats w/ me. I liked that the Solo could go 6-9 sessions min..

all that said I still want one... The bat in my solo finally died so I'm going to fix that first said keep watching for some videos to show up here from FC members pleeze..

Thanks

Wow.
So the beep is switchable eh ? Yeah, I've mistakenly turned mine off. Can someone (clearly) explain how to turn beep on/off ?
Interesting theories about the battery level indication, going to have to experiment with that one.
Also, here's my experience with the 'upper yellow light' phenomenon..... (I wish Arizer would just publish ALL the specs, stats, and options of the Air)... I ran my battery down low and tried to vape with it charging. Worked for a min, but then went to upper yellow light.
So I believe the upper yellow light is indicating battery under-charge or malfunction. I had it plugged into an inverter at the time, which lowers its fan speed when putting out a charge. During the yellow light phase it didn't appear to be charging. So I unplugged it, waited 10 secs, and plugged it in again, then I got normal charging lights, and fan speed decreased.
That's my experience, anyway.
Again, it's fun and all, but would've been nice for Arizer to tell us how to operate their equipment.

I'm impressed the AC adapter puts out 1200 mAh... but wonder if that's a bit too much.

Anyhow, GREAT thread people, probably tthe most active one.
Cheers to all my fellow Air/Solo users !

P.S. @Detonator , if you're in the market for a new Solo battery, I highly recommend a High Capacity 3400 mAh Solo battery for near the same price from either VapePower.ca or PlanetVape.ca, your choice.

Mine came from puffitup today. Very fast shipping, and charged and useable out of the box. So far, feels like the vaoe is every bit as good as out of my solos, and unlike my original Solo, no funky flavor. Digging the shorter, more pocket-friendly stems. It'll be my vape all day tomorrow at a catering I'm doing. If it lets me use it all day I'll be a happy camper. Just need to get a spare battery or two.

I think there is defin a battery indicator. This is my first full run on battery but i think ive noticed diferrent coloured lights when i switch on, in fact defin have. After 3 10 min runs i was on red. Will test again.
As for the skin, without i notice the heat light goes out a lot (to keep temp up), with skin on it goes out hardly at all, i believe the skin helps to retain heat, think i will keep on

Anyone still interested in cases ?
I found this simple eGo case does the trick quite nicely, able to fit in my coat pocket.
I KNOW my solo tube is dirty OK, I almost took another with a clean one, but am lazy.

The question still remains for me when my Air gets here, "to screen, or not to screen?" That is the question.

My stems are kept clean but after a session, the whole shebang becomes really smelly. I'd be scared walking around with those stems in NY and Philly. I asked someone else on here who tried to start a case conversation but wouldn't talk about his particular case being "smell proof". So how about it, is it airtight and smell proof? lol :-)

Anyone know how long it should take the battery in the Air to charge? Been a couple hours and the light is still blinking. I know I've gotten spoiled by the fast charge li-ions in my phone, laptop and tablet.

When I turn on the arizer air a light blinks which tells you to take your hand off of the power buttons. After that it shows green (fully charged). If the battery is lower then it will show the next color up until you reach red (low battery).

After the power color is shown it shuts off and you see the blue idle light. Very simular to the solo except instead of a power meter you have a power indicator. 1 LED doing the task of multiple in the solo, same solution as temp adjustment.

The Air will take over 2 hour's to charge first time, It also takes over 2 if you take it down to the warning.

So that really quick, abnormally bright flash is the reading? Come on Arizer, how about making it long enough to check out? And it uses the same 'scale' as heat? 3 levels: Green to orange to red? Come on Arizer, why only 3?

And, of course my usual gripe with this color coding BS. It's useless to many of us who are color blind. Perfect choice, half of us have trouble with (you guessed it.....) reds and greens. Any other choice would have meant more understanding the code. I'm going to set up a test, but I bet I can't tell the difference (and I know I'm not alone, half of about 8% of all men are this way.....one out of 25 are red/green color blind to some extent).

Instead they could, for instance, have flashed once, twice or 3 times? Then everyone who could count could play. Like I do to set the heat level (count up from the bottom or down from the top).

Thanks for the information, useless as it seems to me personally. It makes sense. The topic has come up a time or two before, but I don't recall anyone saying definitively the way it worked, and I recall a chap from the EU coming back and saying 'never mind'????

Of course Arizer could have told us, but what's the fun in that?
