So when I made my first batch of qwiso I used ~ 20 grams. After looking at the Liquidizer vid I'm starting to think I maybe started with too much product.

So use smaller washes more frequently, say 6 to 10g wash every few days? Or a later wash less frequently?

I'm also thinking the Liquidizer is likely a handy tool for the tool box....

I like the liquidizer. Cool product. You'll see my comments when they launched.
In fact I was a beta tester for them.

Now, that being said I should tell you that you'll never use it. It only works with their stainless steel tube - zero adaptability. The basin in which you put your warm water is to small to hold the proper glassware aside from a cup or beaker (good luck scraping).

It also has no hope for upgrades. It's a clamp with a stand, that's it. Lol

Now on the flip side, if you want to make e-juice it's a facking brilliant device! That's what it was actually designed for.

Great company, the owner is a stand up guy and will be there whenever needed.

But the device wasn't designed for us BHombers.

I convinced one of my "wealthy" friends to drop the 65 hundos on Mrextractor!

I cannot wait to try this mother fucker!
OK so I had to look into this and I watched a vimeo. It extracts the oil and purges it completely, while also reclaiming the butane as you purge it?

MuushuPork,

But I like it!
Thanks @mvapes - I'm not going to think about bho til we get moved and the shop gets set up. I'll keep playing with ISO and EC while thinking up something to do the gassy work outside. I really miss having a shop near at hand. It's amazing what you can cobble together with metal and wood...

The MrExtractor videos with their ridiculous 'here's a bunch of women who look like models in skimpy outfits' advertising did put me off. I am not saying that their product is bad, it may be very good! I've seen nothing objective yet with which do determine how good of a product it is.

However, I have seen something objectifying enough for me not to want to buy their products. I don't want to give my money to people who can't even advertise their product on its own merits without making me feel dirty just watching their ads!

Please understand that this is not company bashing, but at the same time, I really think this practice is degrading. Let's see less cleavage and more of the product and how it works!

Please, to all of you manufacturers out there who are reading this. Please don't advertise in this way.

In a lot of ways I agree with @herbivore21 but unfortunately I've been to shows and it's quite common. Now I'm not saying I exactly mind looking at a few hotties but I'm more interested in the science. Know what im saying?

Now, on another note. I've now spoken to two people who have used it. The first person said its a game changer and the other has already placed an order for his 3rd and 4th (owns a dispensary).

I've also seen the design being done by two other companies as well, iron fist and elephant. Both highly regarded extraction apparatus designers.

I feel terrible about the poor sons a bitches that spent 20+ grand on large cumbersome closed loop systems. With a self contained device that can run multiple loads on one can of self refined n-butane as a one stop shop, which would you go with?

I am pretty sure I'll be the first one here to sell half of my current system to capitalize myself to purchase MrExtractor.

We introduced technology to cannabis and now its a fucking rat race to keep up with the times.

So true man, tech makes this stuff a bastard to keep up with!

Do you know if it gives control over the pressure inside the vessel? ie: is this versatile enough to use with other solvents? I assume this setup incorporates some kind of vacuum?

Any one have any experience in making some sort of dabbable concentrates from pressed hash (not full melt)?

If so, what are the best solvents, how long is the soak etc etc.

Pressed import hash is readily available here, and I tried it on my first ISO wash. Turned out meh, but I did everything wrong haha. Since then I've made some pull-and-snapp-y stuff from buds, and gotten quite the hang of it, so now I wanna try with pressed hash again.

Would acetone be better than ISO for example?

Longer soaks?

ethanol isopropyl or butane would be the solvents I would suggest. if using iso try to find 99% as that exra 8% water really makes a diffrence. if ethanol is a choice I suggest no lower grade than 95% and kleenextract is a better choice as it is 99+% ethanol. if butane I suggest a high quality n butane such as puretane.

the soaktime for a hash of that type doesnt really matter since the plant material is gone... but do not expect a golden extract... if the hash is dark, so will the extract.

you can also winterize if you choose since you want to wash and filter it you may as well remove the wax. plenty of info here on winterizing... im sure ive posed much somewhere here.

Never, ever use denatured. Ever!

Always use ethanol that is either 95% odd (spyrytus/everclear) or use kleenextract or other products tailor made for extract making.

Remember that even 100% lab grade ethanol is often synthesized in such a way that it will have trace amounts of benzene, which is often used in the synthesis process.

Also remember that the higher percentage is kinda not that big a deal with ethanol, 95%+ is great, any higher percentage will go down gradually as the ethanol is exposed to air because ethanol loves to pull those hydrogen and oxygen atoms out of the air to water itself down. Dirty hydrophile just cant keep it in its pants!

Thank you for the fast and clear response! The ever clear sold here is 151 or 75 percent. Is that OK ? I know it will work but aren't you guys talking 95 percent?

It's my pleasure and I'm in great debt to you all for the information here! 10/4 On the 95 %. I've ordered 99 iso from amazon and ready to get some ethanol now. So I'm just gonna pick some 95% ethanol from amazon now.

Perfect, 95% is ideal IMO, that water content is handy when it comes to winterization!
