My ABV always came out lighter than any other vape. I put the ABV in othet vapes and got lots of vapor out of it. I tried diff material as well. Not sure if its just my unit or what? My first unit did the opposite and charred it. Well I got my refund for it and am moving on. Enjoying my HAZE V2.5 at the moment.

Wish there was more reviews to watch/read while I wait for my Alfa. Should come tomorrow:rolleyes:

You're a brave man. Not sure I'd take a chance on this one yet with all of the bugs recently purchased units are experiencing.
agreed i took the chance and i am pretty upset i did . Mine was broken day 1. I am patiently waiting on a brand new unit via mail. If anyone wants it before i use it message me , we can work something out.

I have a firefly as well, in case I get a dud. I read through the entire thread before ordering and the positives outweigh the negatives IMO. I guess the bottom line is if/when I get a properly functioning Alfa I will be one happy tamper :worms::D

I wonder what happened between the initial batch and those that subsequently followed? I purchased an Alfa from gotvape during the October release. It is still keeping me very pleased...no problems to report. It is my go to portable for outdoor activities and has not let me down.

Edit...except for when I see the amber light and I am away from a power jack. I would very much like to see a replaceable battery and a new style of door (sliding or magnetic) on the Alfa 2.0

Just wanted to go on the record as saying that I received my Alfa the Monday after Thanksgiving. It has been used every day since, and has worked perfectly and never skipped a beat.

There have been reports of problems, but I'm sure there are lots of owners like myself who haven't said much because we've been busy enjoying our Alfas.

So now I'll say something: I love the Alfa. I could not be happier with my purchase. It has become my most used vape, and I have quite a few of them.

My Alfa just arrived via UPS
Charging it now, I hope I have a solid trouble free unit here.

BTW, FYI; it came with the new style center punched filter in the oven. Good sign !

Edit: forgot to ask if anyone, preferably Mike M (I believe his username is) has had success in finding a car charger/cord combo that will work on both the Alfa and firefly ? The chargers from each unit fits and works on the other ( I know it's not recommended but I had to check lol), however the Alfas charger has an output of 5 volts vs the firefly which outputs 9 volts. I'm sure the Alfa charger would be fine in the firefly (in a pinch) albeit slower charging, but I'm not putting 9 volts to my Alfa ! (Unless the low voltage is the reason for the long charging times ?)
I'd hate to have to carry both chargers in my bag at all times ( maybe I won't soon as firefly is sending me a new battery for free so I'll have two) so I hope a car charging solution for both is possible

Hope you have a trouble free unit as well. let us know how it works out. Hopefully my repaired Alfa comes in the mail today also and operating proper. As for chargers , I am looking for something also with a usb at the end. If you can tell me the name/size of the plug the alfa uses i can try and find some to purchase and test .

I don't really know the size of the plug or have a way to measure it, it is smaller then the firefly's, but each fits into the other. I can take a pic of the plugs and back of each charger but don't know how to upload it on FC (from my phone ). I take it I need a hosting site

Also trying to find something I can fit the Alfa into, thats airtight and still slim enough to fit in a inside jacket/blazer pocket. I hear this thing can be pretty stinky lol but I wanna take it everywhere. I will use a plastic baggie for the meantime

Photobucket is a good hosting site , you'll need that or something to host pictures. As for the size ill try and take my plug to radioshack and see if i can compare it to what they have there. Pictures of it wouldn't help me. For a air tight case go check out a otterbox or pelican micro case , those should fit it perfectly. There is all different sizes. There pretty inexpensive .

Sorry, don't use a car charger. Man, I want to order the new screens, only $5 on the site, but the shipping is $20?

My gripes are still how messy this unit gets. I just wish the entire oven was somehow removable.

This thing really gives some crazy clouds.

First mini review of the Alfa (too busy enjoying to type): incredible. So smooth, great flavor, the size ... U have to hold it. So far a 9.75 out of 10 (nothing's perfect):brow:

won't be a problem for me since I am OCD :uhoh: I wipe my firefly down squeaky clean between each pack
So far I've just been using a q-tip in the Alfa oven, swirl it around a few times between packs and it's good to go. I'm sure this new, perfect fitting screen helps as well. now I'm just waiting for the mailman to deliver my hydro tube.

Also, dumping the vape poo out of the oven while it's hot helps keep it clean as well.

I have found something that fits the Alfa perfectly. It's an old box for photographic slides. Double wide. Just rip out the centre divider, and it fits like a glove. Airtight too! Not sure how hard they would be to find, I just had a couple of them lying around. I wrap the Alfa in a piece of soft leather just to stop it from getting scratched up.

Another lazy stoner tip.. The cone shaped side of the mouth piece makes a great tamping tool, also, a qtip with one end snapped off and bent 90° makes it easy to empty and clean out the oven without scratching anything

I emailed Goboof pictures and short video clip of my findings and got nothing. I was doing that so they are aware and was not expecting them to handle the situation. Randy from PIU took my unit back and sent out a new one. If I was dissatisfied, PIU would have gladly bought it back im sure. So for future reference, PIU.

I would try emailing them every other day. Its been way too long for you and thats unacceptable. Email Nothing nasty, but merely a log just in case you have to do a credit card dispute or something more extreme. Seems like they are deliberately ignoring emails. Its been two weeks that I sent an email.
Hey slow draw McGraw,

Got interested in this piece. Once I get my practice running and get some sales, I will take your advice and buy from randy at piu. I hear his name so often and it always ends in a good experience. If it hits like a pax and doesn't require all that cleaning, that gets me interested. I only like my pax for 1 or 2 sessions after I clean it because their isn't much air flow restriction and I get clouds.

How many here have used their Alfa while it's plugged in? I know it's capable but I'm hesitant on having it plugged in for extended sessions.
There's no way it can be good for the battery. I still haven't done it but I want too.

Thanks:peace:
