Underdog Log Vapes

You can adjust your temp with low tech options such as screen placement, extension cords, how far you insert the stem, etc. You can also purchase a VVPS (variable voltage power supply). You might be able to splice in a dimmer switch.

Most people find the "stock" temp just fine. Those that want more control than the low tech options give them, they usually add a VVPS.

I personally use one extension cord. It's nice for moving around a bit, and offsets the night time when my grid gets a little more power than it does in the day time.
Thanks to you and @RUDE BOY for the quick replys. Ithink i need to control my temp more..one temp would have me going crazy...i think thas the deal breaker for me.i wish i could buy and try em all!

No problem. I hope it helped. FWIW, I sold the VVPS I had and have never missed it. Using stem depth, I get all the temp control I need.

Either way you go, a log is a great choice. The UD is my favorite by far, but I'm a bit biased. Good luck!

You can buy the Ash UD for $134, buy a reliable vvps for $35 (gives you more control than the e nano dial does), and you save money (roughly $170 for the vvps and UD).. And oh by the way great customer service.

My UD is my favorite hands down, and i only use the standard wall wart. The screen is the temperature control in all honesty. But no, I dont see how you could go wrong with either of the two. I just like saving money, and good customer service.

Thanks...you brought me back to considering the UD...

Can anyone who uses a vvps link me to a good one? And maybe tell me how the hell I would hook it up to the UD and use it?

Im going to youtube around a bit too. Thanks!

Also, why would you guys prefer one UD rather than another? Do the different types of woods effect your vape session at all? Or is it just a looks thing

Thankyou! im going to look around becuase ive never even heard of these things

Hey that Tekpower one looks simple enough I think ill go with that...it goes from 0-15 and you just feel it out? Or it gives u exact temp?

Thanks for the links

We give you a suggested voltage sheet with the Lab Style VVPS cord and you adjust to suit based on those numbers and your experience. Once you know what voltage you like (based on results) you just remember it and come back to it next time. Basically we're using voltage as the unit of measure instead of temp. :peace:

2 Thumbs up for the Voltage Keeper

:tup::tup:

I'll add an additional thumb to that.. definitely a great high quality option in the VK!

Yes please.

14mm GonG and add the stainless steel tip.

My personal favorite.

Really appreciate it guys! I think i should get the UD without the powertek at first...ill get it if its really a huge problem for me.

Pics are always greatly appreciated around here. UD, & UDette deliver a special vape, and an amazing customer service experience.

Welp, bad news im addicted to buying vaporizers.

Good news I just pulled the trigger on the Ash UD

Super hyped!!

I have a nice collection on waterpipes that are going to pair nicely with this puppy. Never had a log vape before and im excited to compare it to my Solos and EQ.

Thanks to everyone who helped me make my decision.

Bought the UD a few months ago and I've been loving it. However, I am not using a VVPS (on my list, will just be awhile until I get around to getting one) and I'm wondering if my unit is faulty or if I'm doing something wrong. My avb is brownish-yellow and is only that dark if I use the nylon stem. If I use the glass stem it barely turns brown. I've tried changing draw length and how hard I draw but neither one seems to help/hurt.

I also know that I should grind my green a little finer, right now I'm using a standard grinder with standard results. Are there any "home" remedies for this? I know coffee grinders work well, but again, its on the list but won't be buying for awhile.

As a side note, sometimes the unit will be hot, almost too hot to touch. This doesn't worry me, but it makes me think that the unit is working fine and my grind is the issue? Any feedback would be greatly appreciated guys! Love my unit but I want it to take me to the moon, instead of just making me feel good.
