The fact they you get bigger rips from the ssv whip is not an opinion

Neither is the fact the hits are more effortless

The Herbie whip is not so horrible if you remove the mouthpiece

@Highland7

It is your opinion that the SSV tubing is superior. This is not a fact.

I hate the SSV tubing. It warped from the heat and kinked more than the Herbalizer whip, and was in the trash after a few weeks of use. I get HUGE clouds from my Herbalizer whip, and didn't notice a huge increase in clouds from the SSV tubing. I went back to the Herbie whip and haven't looked back. I'm still using the same stock whip that came with my unit. Still in perfect condition, works perfectly, no kinks, and still producing huge clouds. Again, this is my own personal opinion based on my own personal experience.

Always remember that it is possible for different users to have different experiences.

All I said was you get bigger rips more effortlessly ... I think a larger diameter tuning would indicate that alone. That isn't really an opinion, the tube is larger, more smoke goes through. It's only superior if you like getting huge rips effortlessly

The SSV tubing kinks and warps more, becoming useless much faster.

Plus, I never use the whip alone. I always pair it with my glass because it is much smoother. When I tried the SSV tubing and the Herbie whip with glass, I didn't notice any difference. Huge clouds either way. Sure, you may have to inhale a little more with the smaller diameter Herbie tubing, but it is the tubing that has never kinked or warped.

Sometimes you have to agree to disagree. No hard feelings either way.

I see one thing we can definitely agree on, and that is the MFLB. I'm definitely not a fan, and one of my friends is convinced that his MFLB is superior to the Herbalizer. His claim is that, per amount of product used, the MFLB gets him higher. It's like arguing with a brick wall.

Lol that's funny, I dislike that piece of wood vaporizer.
But I was just trying to be funny with my last comment, no disrespect intended.
I agree that my ssv whip bends after a while, I just simply cut some off or switch sides for a bit (put the mouthpiece on the warped side) ... I found the stock whip to kink and bend a lot too though

I had all kinds of issues with the Herbie whip coming out of the bowl so I started looking for a better solution. I tried the SSV tubing and experienced it getting very soft and bending close to the bowl. It's probably fine, but it didn't look very nice and didn't feel healthy to heat the tubing up so much all the time. I also didn't like having the whip permanently attached to the bowl as it can make filling and cleaning awkward.

A couple months ago I finally settled on an option that has worked extremely well for me and solved all my issues. Using 3 GonG adapters, a VB whip and a ¼" section of SSV tubing, I made a $50 GonG whip system that works with all my water pieces and keeps the whip much cleaner. It's also super easy to convert to GonG bag filling system.

Here's a video of the GonG whip in action and then the list of adapters and whips needed.

Parts Required

VB Whip
Vapor Brothers Tubing - $3.49

SSV Whip (only need ¼" section to go around top of Herbie bowl for gasket between bowl and GonG reducer)
Clear Whip Tubing - $5.49

Reducer (female side goes over ¼" whip section over top of Herbie bowl to form tight seal)
18/14mm Glass Reducer Adapter 18m/14F - $13

Adapter fits over reducer on top of Herbie bowl
18mm Female Vape Adapter 90 Degree - $14

Adapter for end of whip depends on whether your glass piece is 14mm to 18mm
14mm Vape Adapter 90 Degree - $14 OR 18mm Vape Adapter 90 Degree - $14

At first I perceived that Herbie worked best with the fan assist on, if you are after thick vapor (@Vicki - since your unit was known to be faulty, I think we should reserve judgement until you get your fixed one back). But after some use and tweaks (like removing the mouthpiece), I can huff on it as hard as I want and I get great hits.

I am very anxious to use it on Monday night to see if there is any difference.

Does anyone have any idea when herbalizer will have their updated bag system ready? I am about to pull the trigger and buy the solid valve kit because of everyone on here raving about it but think me and my wallet should be patient.

I wouldn't buy a herbalizer bag kit... Even if it doesn't leak...
The build on the volcano valve is high quality and bags fill up quick... I'll do a comparison video soon using the Herbie chamber vs the volcano chamber

Very nice...I've been waiting for these to be perfected. I ordered 2, one for each of my Herbie bowls. Also ordered a couple of these 18mm female whip adapters from Oregon Glassblower.

http://www.artfire.com/ext/shop/pro...m_vape_adapter_90_degree/handmade/accessories

Should fit right on top of Ratchett's HT adapter for using a whip with all my non-hydratube glass. I like how the angled whip adapters trap condensate and avoid the whip heating up and becoming soft.

Hello, I noticed you are in Oregon, I state I once lived in myself. I mean no thread disrespect here guys. Oregon glass blowers was mentioned. I cannot get them to respond to me e-mail attempts and am kind of weary of a business with no phone number. Could someone with knowledge message them or me please. I would like to get a few items from them directly. Thank you. Oh and when I am all saved up a Herbalizer will be mine!:freak: Thank you and cheers all!

I have no connection to Oregon Glass Blower. He was mentioned on quite a few forum threads so I placed a couple orders. He mailed out the same day and I was very happy with his work. Other than that, I can't say much about him. I actually placed my order through his Artfire store but I believe he's on iOffer.com as well.

I placed an order on his site and selected print and call for my payment option. Nothing ever transpired after that even after 3 e-mails. Oh well, no spilled milk. :) Thank you however for getting back to me.

One of my very close friends loves vaporizing, but due to his home situation, he doesn't get to vaporize as much as he'd like. He's followed my recommendations over the years and has purchased an EQ, Solo and an Evo. His main problem is that he needs to do his business in a short period of time (1-2 minutes) so even the warmup time on the solo was not good for his situation.

He refuses to use a log vape (I still don't know why) and won't play with butane. I was tired of hearing him bitch and moan so I finally convinced him to get an Herbie. Well, he got it yesterday and was so thrilled with the instant heat up and super-fast session time that he called me and raved on and on about how great the Herbie is and thanked me profusely for convincing him to get one.

Here's the funny part.... About 2 hours after after he called me, he called again and said "Hey, I just wanted to call to thank you for recommending the Herbie bla bla bla". I said "Dude, you just called me a couple hours ago to say the same thing". He paused for a few seconds and said "wow.... I totally don't remember that. I guess I'm pretty herbalized." :whoa:

Maybe it went to his spam. Try a different email address and explain the situation.

LOL, sounds like he loves it.

I understand his predicament with the other vaporizers, at least the Solo. There are times it feels like it's taking forever to heat up while I'm sick. Other times (sometimes) the butane in my Iolite makes my nausea worse. I have a cherry MFLB, but I need new batteries. I have no concentrates, so I can't use my Dr. Dabber either. I've really been hurting without my Herbie, but I'm still glad I have other choices being a medical user.

I feel for your friend as I'm in a similar situation. Raising a family and such requires me to sneak out for my nightly session. Herbie allows for a relatively quick and potent session! I come back in and grab my societal acceptable glass of wine and no one is the wiser. There may come a day soon where parents can come clean about their responsible use of cannabis and talk to their kids about it.

My worst fear is if I talked to my kids about my responsible use of cannabis they would tell their friends ( kids do this LOL) their friends in turn would tell their parents (some very conservative) and the next thing you know some of my kid's friends wouldn't be allowed to come to our house for play dates and sleepovers and such. Why? Because Chill Dude would be classified as an irresponsible stoner and a danger to their children LOL.. The ignorance regarding cannabis has got to change!!

That said, The Herbalizer is great when time is a concern. It heats up instantly and you can turn up the temperature up to 445F to allow for full extraction in just a couple minutes. Perfect for us dads who are unwilling to come out of the closet regarding their cannabis use!

@Chill Dude - we have had some good discussion on it here:

http://fuckcombustion.com/threads/parents-that-vape.6566/

I'm finally out with my kids and it feels great...but it should be done with caution!

I forgot to mention another thing about Herbie's whip. It really sucks when it needs to be cleaned. The good news is there is usually a lot of good stuff to easily scoop out of it. It's an easy vape to reclaim with, and you need to do it regularly!

I had a tooth extracted yesterday....
NO vaping or suction is the rule.
Fan assist to the rescue!
Fan assist kept me inhaling as normal, but with vapor flowing in my direction.

On a side note.
Out of almost a dozen seasoned vaporists (11)... local patients that use Hernbalizer...
5 out of the 11 use ONLY SSV tubing and feel it is superior.
I also feel it is superior, but I only use it when I am alone, so that new patients experience
Herbalizer with it's "stock" accessories.
It is your opinion that the SSV tubing is superior. This is not a fact.
It is the opinion of MANY... therefore to those that use it it IS a fact!

So... After reading some new posts few pages back about the double screen on the bottom sandwiching a microload.. That intrigued me.. I proceeded to play around with it a bit- I put down a micro load and to my surprise- the first hit was dense- A bit denser than normal..

Then I tried putting 1/2 of a bowl in the herbie and sandwich it. I had a hard time getting the top screen into the bottom groove but I was able to get it down after some tries and some flowers in my mouth LOL - The hit was denser than normal.... But the interesting thing that the density really dropped off after the first 1-3 hits but again- it was a micro load....

I headed down to a LHS and picked up a solid valve.. Been a while since I handled a solid valve.. I always loved that valve, anyways.. My first bowl down.. I saw some leaking through the slits like another FC member here mentioned. I had to try to make the valves connect a bit better and I didnt see any more leaks after that..

For the balloon.. It filled up pretty dense and the bag blew up better than using the stock bags.. The flavor REMINDED me a lot like the Volcano... I liked it and it really couchlocked me up at 445 degrees.

I need to fuck around with the solid valve a bit more- I did add 2nd load that was almost full and it kinda choked the fan a bit- Someone said few posts back that Volcanos pump was stronger than Herbalzier- That is a factor I think.

BUT IMO- The solid valve on herbalzier actually gives me more denser and more extraction over the herablizers "easy valve"..

I like the whip on the easy valve- I always got good clouds.. But if we could have a whip combined with the solid valve style- that would be great

But at the moment, herbies stock bowl/whip (no mouth piece) for direct hits and solid valve for bags are giving me what I am needing..

I can report back with comparsions tonight if I get off work and if anyone want sto see both in action..

We need a best of the Herbalizer thread. I think it's about that time.

The double aroma pads on top keep getting my hits nice and milky. I've found that I tend to vape on 315-330 in the mornings and 445 the rest of the time. Is it a bad that I'm not taking advantage of the percision of the tempeture control? What can I say I love the clouds!?

I've seen a lot of redundent information in this thread. Suprising to see.

Agreed...I'm surprised there's not a best-of thread for Herbie yet. I think much of the redundancy is because the thread is so long that it's overwhelming. Folks ask questions that have already been answered many times because they don't have the patience to read the last couple hundred pages.

I knew people would like using the solid valve chamber better...
It honestly performs like a new machine!

I lovvvvvvvve my Herbie again thanks to storz and bickel (ironic, right?)

I tried the sandwiched herb method as well as stacking the aroma pads, and still have little luck with the herbalizer without fan assist.

I emailed herbalizer about perhaps having the unit tested and recalibrated if necessary. Carrie told me that because my herbalizer was purchased off massdrop that my unit did not qualify for warranty.

I had actually thought that they had done some warranty work with other buyers from the same drop, but I am not certain.

I have emailed massdrop, as they state on their website that if the manufacturer will not honor the warranty to contact support within the warranty period of the device and that they would assist with replacements/refunding/etc.

Keep your fingers crossed for me folks, and if anyone has been through similar with massdrop please let me know how it turned out.

Thanks,

VP

Well back to try herbie to test and all funcions.

The solid valve system from S&B is working with adding oring from daisy (Big one from MP). Results are here, total extraction.

But before this extreme solution, a simple high temp PV tube 2cm to perform a seal with a stock herbie bag, no pb with leaking then. May be the tube shall be prefered first before adding solid valve if you do not have it.

To prevent the screen clogging when blowing bag thus airflow breaking There is two methods
-Micro loads and Mini ELB which is terrific, hash at the bottom, 1 stir. 2 bags for total extract.
After inspecting my bowl, the threadings are clean and bowl is sealed.
-EQ screen+1 herbie pad to secure, the EQ screen tends to clog but there is more surface there,
-Bowl+1 herbie pad ore+2 herbie pad (never tested it)

The answer is Herbie is still a very big chief vape in town.

Cheers fellows.
