Arizer Solo

ataxian

PALE BLUE DOT
.
Been enjoying blends lately with the grinder. Have a new strain: Sour Tsunami. As I said before, it gives you a weird high(19% CBD, 1% THC). You get high, but it's more of a body high. I have tinnitus(ringing in the ears). I hear high pitched tones all the time, but the tones change depending on the strain of weed used. High THC=high tones---high CBD low tones.
When I blend different varieties together I get a virtual symphony in my head. Very strange; but yes, enjoyable.
Very high THC weed wigs me out(paranoia and anxiety), A more balanced strain(like Blueberry) do not do that.
Blending strains gives you the opportunity to dial in just the effect you need.
And the Solo delivers the goods in a healthier way.
Very good you inspire me!
Purple gsc + Paris OG + Mars OG + KIEF = NICE

Agreed. High CBD can be a life saver when you hurt but still have to function and be nice to people who don't deserve it........

I sort of agree with you on the tones bit, but don't think you really understand what's going on. The tones are just the little voices singing. While THC puts the Sopranos and Altos in a party mood, CBDs just put them to sleep........

I never said anything about voices, just tones. Do you hear voices? :mental:

And of course there is a lot more going on here beside THC and CBD levels. The role of terpenes and everything else that can vary in cannabis makes for some very exciting combinations. And again we are so fortunate to have such an awesome delivery system to experiment with such possibilities.:science:

And you're going to try to convince us you don't? Are you for real? You're not some sort of plant, right?

OK, what's the password?
Haha every once in a while when I'm super Solo'd, I hear my own voice, and have to ask someone if I said something

Nothing wrong with that. Just don't get into an argument with yourself.

OTOH such conversations can drive the Bogarters off......that way you get more hits from the communal bowl.

Ok results are in on the badly cut 18mm PVHE Shorty GonG:
Using the SOLO on Temp6+D020

Very Effective. It heats it up a little unevenly for the small size(expected because of the cut) but all she needs is one stir and ABV is evely brown. Effective hitting it dry as well and also needs one stir. Even Brown ABV.

So now I have a decent back up.:)

I understand what you are saying. In my case, the perceived tones seemed lower with the addition of a high CBD strain because of the modulating effect of CBD on THC. But Agreed; it all sounds a little nuts, eh?

Also: I like your blends Ataxian!!

What's the overall consensus regarding pvhes stems and the turbo?

I read they were a great addition to the original solo because it was supposedly less restrictive than the new model.

I just purchased the latest solo and was wondering if they're needed on the latest?

IMO there is no consensus, far too subjective for that. Many are quite happy with the factory stems, many of us no longer regularly use the custom ones we bought after trying them.

Nobody can make this call for you, you're the only one who knows (or can find out) how well they suit you. As Dick Martin once said about having a computer pick dates for him, "I'd rather mix the Martinis and screen them myself.....".

Just got my solo...
First impression: wow, this thing is smaller than I was thinking!
I like the weight in my hand. This vape seems clumsy-proof (for the glass stem, I have to be careful, or buy a wooden one from Ed! ;))
Now I have to wait friday night to test it! Let's be patient... :brow:

While your waiting for your first try i suggest fully charging overnight and a burn of.
Plenty of people here can make sure its working like it should, feel free to send to anyone on the solo thread and he/she will make sure all is good:D

I found a cheap bubbler to go with my Solo at a LHS in So Cal. I think it goes great! Ice pinch, fritted glass, and a tree perc diffuses diffusely. $45. Nice one-hander.

What's the lowest price for a Arizer Solo now ? Is the new Arizer Air better than the Solo in any way?

Sure. For instance it's smaller, lighter and has a user replaceable battery. All things we asked for as upgrades on Solo. The weight is a big deal to me, 8 ounces reduced to 4. Air can be carried in a shirt pocket, not so Solo.

How important those are to you you'll have to decide.

IMO you won't go far wrong either way, they're both 'great vapes'.

Fun at the the local Indian casino. Won $50.00:rofl:!!
I managed to walk out with $40.00 profit, so I'm a winner! I end up sitting in my car reading and vaping(Solo in cup) so I don't lose what I won. My wife can play all night and stay ahead. I usually quit after a win or the money is soon gone. Surprising how much you can win over the long haul if you know when to stop.

Have been using the Solo on level 3 or may finish on 4. I used to start at 5 and finish on 6. Did that for over a year. Now starting on three seems to get me much higher. This is a most versatile machine. It can be used successfully so many ways.

Later in the evening I enjoyed using my D020 bubbler at home with my new gong.
Funny thing: I bought another new Solo(the black one) and "lo and behold" to my surprise, there was yet another apparently useless aroma therapy bowl in the box.
Since I also had the 18mm ground glass adapter(spare broken EQ elbow); I took it to my local glass blower and he made a Solo gong for me (put my pieces together) for about $16.00 bucks. So now I have two gongs, an 18mm and a 14mm for the cost of one anywhere else:

2solos&gongs.jpg

The 14mm gong now has a plumbers tape wrap due to a cleaning mishap, but it still works great. I really like the way the 18mm gong came out. It holds the gong rock solid in the D020 with the addition of the "O" ring. So please, I don't want to hear any more whining about "gong shortages". You've all been shown twice how to save a little money, recycle some glass and keep some local dude employed. I daresay some of you could even do this type of thing yourself.
But you know old saying:myday::
You can lead a horse to water, but you can't make him drink!!:horse:

Vaped
Picked up the Arizer Solo the other day to replace my Da Vinci (original, not Ascent), which i've been exclusively using to vape for a while now.

Is it just me or is this thing crazy efficient?! The vapor just keeps coming! LOVE the feel of the unit too. Already so much easier to clean and maintain than the Da Vinci, which in itself is pretty great.

PVHEGonG on the way too... sucks that I'm in Aus, will probably be a couple weeks lol. Gonna try vaporbonging for the first time ever, I got the 18mm Shorty.... Everything else was sold out. :( Will the bowl be too small??

Got a Black Leaf double honeycomb coming from EDIT too, I know its cheap glass but it's just for now. Hope the combination will be good :) Already love the Solo dry

Will post pics / impressions when they get here

My Solo rips really well and uses next to nothing, but seems like my battery life ain't that great :( i get 7-8 12 minute cycles I think, or about 1.5-2 hours of use max, closer to 1.5.. I'm usually starting at 4, ending at 6-7. Maybe I didn't leave it plugged in long enough when I got it the first time, oh well

Seems about right, lower temps=longer battery run time.
High temps does use more power:science:
I never use the high temps dry, only with water
