What's up Ed? Happy New Year!

I've been using my Ed's Haze WT with my new FC-187 sidecar and it's sweet! I know @NickDlow can appreciate!

So glad you guys worked something out.
I hope 2015 is a great year for you. No matter what happens, you always have your friends at FC!

Absolutely!!! These WonG's are awesome and so incredibly tough. I love not worrying about it breaking if it rolls off my table. Also I'd like to see them add the Haze wood stems, it totally replaced my SS and glass stem completely!!! Can u say game changer?!?!

Hello and good morning everyone, I hope all has been well out there! I wish I could tell you all that we slayed the ducks last week but that was not the case. Oh it was cold alright and I thought for sure that the front pushing down from the north would have brought the ducks in but was I mistaken. It was 12 degrees Thursday morning, I dressed super warm, had 5 layers of clothing on under my waders, I never actually got cold myself but sure as hell everything else did. 4 of us went that morning, it wasnt so bad when we were at the house gearing up to go, all was good and it felt like it was going to be an awesome hunt. We got to the lease and there was a few puddles on the dirt road going to the place and they were frozen solid, not a big deal, hell it was 12 degrees and the puddles were shallow. We got our gear on, unloaded the ATV's and began our ride in, there was water in some of the trails going in that were about a foot deep where it was frozen, I dropped the 4 wheeler in second gear, laid on the gas and just drove through it breaking the ice and pushing forward, no big deal. We got to the hole and had to begin our walk in, the water was shallow at first and the ice was about a 1/2" thick so we were tromping through it hoping the deeper the water got the thinner the ice would be, well that was not the case either. Seemed to be just as thick all the way out there even at waist deep it was thick. Was a tough walk in through all the ice and muddy bottom but I was still positive about the mornings hunt. We got in there good and had to break ice in a big area in order to get the decoys out, so we all began breaking up a hole with some big walking sticks that we used to help give us balance on the way in. One of my friends took a fall near me, he was going down and I was just close enough to lend him an arm before he went head under, he had water get in the back of his waders, he said it wasnt much but it had gotten down both legs so he was wet. I gotta tell you had that happened to me that morning I woulda probably called it a day and gotten the hell out of there. He hung in there and didnt let it bother him and we finished putting out the dec's. We walked back about 30 yards from the decoys, got behind the big white oak trees cause we havent built a blind yet, we hadnt had any water so wasnt quite sure where we should build the blind, that and it was our first year to hunt this spot, we start to load the guns and I slide a couple in the magazine and chamber another, my 2 friends look over at me and tell me their guns are frozen solid. They both had gotten a little water in them while walking in and putting out the decoys, water isnt that big of a deal but today it was, the mechanism that allows you load the guns and chamber the shells were completely frozen shut, they tried hitting the butt of the stock against a tree to free it up but were unsuccessful, they tried with lighters to thaw the metal but that didnt work, hell they even put the little hot hands things on the guns to try and warm em and that didnt work. So 2 of us had loaded guns and the other two couldnt even take a shot. Legal shooting time was at 6:30 am, I thought for sure since this was the only hole with no ice we would have had all the ducks fly in just to us. No such luck there either, Mother Nature threw the ducks as well as us a huge curve ball and we didnt see a single duck flying, we stood there for another hour hoping to see some birds flying but didnt at all. By the end of that hour the water had frozen back around the decoys and they were stuck in the ice. Had the break ice to get back out there to em and retrieve them. We gathered up the strength the get the hell out of the water and walk out. A tough walk wasnt so bad cause we knew we were getting the hell out of there and back to the warm truck. We got to the 4 wheelers and I will be damned if the front ends of them werent freaking frozen. The water and ice we had to drive through to get back there had gotten in the front hubs and froze them solid also. Damn damn damn so we had to walk out quite a long way. We got back to the truck finally got the gear off and called in a local burger joint and ordered a few big ass double bacon cheeseburgers and all that. Got back to the house and relaxed for a couple hours hoping that the sun would hit the ATV just right and thaw it out. That didnt happen either the high for the day never got above 32 so I grabbed my small propane torch, drove back out to the lease and walked all the way back the 4 wheeler and thawed it out with the torch. It broke free and we were out of there. Not to be discouraged we loaded up and went to a different duck hole of ours that has always been a great hunt later that afternoon, same story there almost, hella ice almost all the way in, we get to the hole and oh yeah its not frozen! We are all ready for the hunt, guns are loaded, so we just sit still waiting on them to fly, we saw a few small groups come over really high, none wanted to commit, no sweat, some will. After a a few more of those a small group does come in and one of my friends nails a Green Wing Teal drake, then they just kinda cutoff and quite flying. Hellova way to end the day with one bird! As I said not to be discouraged we get home gather the gear and go over all our stuff because the next day isnt supposed to be quite as cold, oh yeah its gonna be cold but not 12 degrees. I wanna say it was 21 the next morning, we drove a couple hours away to the delta and got started in about an hour before legal time. I would love to say things were different on this hunt but seemed to go exactly as the day before with a couple other wrenches in the gears to add to our frustration. We got one duck this morning and that was it. After all the freaking problems that seemed to replay over this day from the one before, I said screw it and screw hunting and went and got my kids. I spent the next two days hanging with them and enjoying our times thinking to hell with the cold weather! Hey but thats how hunting goes, sometimes it works out great and sometimes it doesnt work out at all. We have about 2 weeks left to the duck season and I not able to go anymore, have quite a bit of work to do and other responsibilities that wont allow me to try it again. I did get another order from Haze for more wongs, seems they are doing well and they want more. I have a few custom orders I am gonna knock out this week and get back to the big stuff the following week.

@scottg402 Hello my friend, I hope all is well your way, thanks for stopping by and letting me know how your are doing as well as the best wishes. Not sure how well the year has started off for me but am sure hoping its works itself out to be a good one in the end, like you said no matter what!

@NickDlow Glad to hear how much you are enjoying that piece bro, hope you do for a long time to come! I wish you well and all the best!

Hello and good morning everyone! All is good my way, been spending much time with my boys hanging out and going to the movies and all that. I knocked out all the custom stuff and picked up a couple more of em just when I finished the bunch. Gonna be busy this week getting out a couple wholesale orders so gotta make time for that. I hate to say it but my duck hunting season is over for the year, there is only one week left and I am just not gonna be able to get in the water, it sucks but it is what it is. This season was a shitty one so am hoping for a better one next year. Me and the boys are so looking forward to spring, we cant wait to get the boat out and wet a hook! There is a whole lot more time to fish than hunt so alot of good times will be had. I have an Arizer Air on the way to me as I type, may even show up today thanks to Randy at PIU, he is the man and is always in my corner. Even have a Haze on its way as well, it to should be here this week so I look forward to getting acquainted with them both. Its always fun testing and coming up with new things! So be on the look out!

@beach bum Thanks for stopping by, I am really glad you like those pieces I had the chance to make for you! They were fun and working with you is always a pleasure! I hope all is well your way and wish you all the best!

Wooohooo got my Arizer Air in today! Wow this thing is nice for sure, really dig how much smaller it is than the solo. Been busy doing homework and working on the gokart this evening so hadn't had much time to test with it or get dimensions, gonna get up early and give it good look though.

@Reflections thanks for stopping by, yeah fishing this year should be much better, its hard to have a bad time fishing. I'm sorry for my periods of absence but my time with my boys is so valuable now more so than ever. I have this big jug kinda thing where we dump all our change in, it's gotta be a buttload of money in there, it's our vacation jug. I told the boys I think we might cash it in before school is out. My cousin lives a 1/2 hour from Disney world so think we might get down that way this summer!

@little maggie hope you got that email this morning! Keep an eye out! It's 4 of us, got 3 boys, all gonna be heart breakers, blond hair, bright smiles and sharp as tacks. We have the best times, they are such blessings! Hope all is well your way and pls let me know what you think of those pieces.

Just got my Air today and haven't even tried either of the included stems....

The Ed's shorty WonG is a tight but perfect fit and I love the look!

I was so giddy about my new toy that I doubled up and ran through two stems (about an hour apart).

My favorite way to say "cheers" here....

My beauiful Wongs came today. The maple one is a perfect match for my UD. It looks like they were made for each other. The one for my Solo is great too. I haven't tried them yet but plan on later. I'm not quite sure how to do pictures but I'd like to post how nice they look. Ed is truly an artist!

Hello Ed, I was wondering if you take custom orders/requests for a wood storage case/holder for my MP's?
Also, I was on your site and noticed that the 2'' grinder was pictured and listed for sale. I also noticed a mention of a 3'' version, is that true and if so is it still for sale and what is the asking price? I do appreciate your time. Thank you.

Any suggestions: The wong has gotten firmly wedged in the DO20. I can permanently assign the DO20 to my UD and get another water piece but I'd like to get it out if I can.

Hello and good morning everyone, its been really crazy round here, not just the wood work and all but lately I have been dealing with a reoccurring medical issue. Most of last week and the week before I spent at dr visits, had a minor outpatient surgery that was supposed to happen wednesday that turned out to be a fiasco. I have been working with my initial dr/surgeon and after a few times under the knife I felt as though I was getting no where. I tried another dr that was supposed to be a specialist for my problem but wound up being a freaking circus last week. So I got with my initial dr thursday, saw him, got the preop surgery ready and done in 2 hours, was very quick, had the surgery friday morning. Had two spots I wanted him to look at, well he cut one spot twice and didnt do anything to the other. Really didnt like that but what the hell could I do, the other spot I wanted him to look at began getting worse and eventually had me in the ER last night where I had to be cut open again! Now I have 3 extra openings in my body and still really dont have any idea what the answer is. I have been doing some research and I may have a small problem with my immune system. I am gathering that it does not recognize my problem as an issue it needs to fight off and allows it to manifest into a serious problem. Hey but wtf do I know, I may know a little about wood and thats just a little, but I sure as hell dont know anything about how the body works. So anyway thats whats been happening on my end, yes I have popped in from time to time to see the wonderful posts and pics that you all have done so, even liked them but havent had time to post until now, pls forgive me!

@beach bum Oh my oldest wants me to learn him how to drive, hes 13 now and I have let him behind the wheel a few times in the yard but never on the road. Once I get back on my feet good we are gonna hit these dirt roads near by and get him some time behind the wheel. Oh Disney would be so sweet, ive never been but hear its the greatest place on the earth!

@scottg402 Wow bro! Thanks for the post, I am glad to see that your solo wong fits nicely! I hope that not all people take that pic to mean that theirs will, I just got my Air Tuesday and mine is really tight. I did order and receive the materials needed to make Air stems so will be doing that soon. The difference between the two is only about .013", doesnt seem like much but is quite a big deal. Thanks again for posting the pics and your comments. I wish you all the best!

@little maggie Hey really glad they made it safe and sound! I see with some help you were able to get the pics posted, wow the UD and stem is the shit! I am so glad they look as they do, does seem like they were made for each other! I hope you have had time to try them and pls let me know how you enjoyed them. Oh as far as how to dislodge the wong from your glass, I am at a loss. I do know that some users use my butter as a lube so that this doesnt happen. I really have no idea how to separate the two, surely someone here does though???? Pls let me know if there is anything I can do.

@Reflections Thanks for stopping by to lend a hand to Little Maggie and to you @ichibaneye !

@ichibaneye Pls forgive me for the delay in getting back to you and for the frustration that I may have caused. I hope you read the above and understand where I have been. I do take custom orders and would like to discuss it with you. I am open to trying anything really, just need to know more about it and go from there. I am sorry to say I am all sold out of 3" grinders and wont have any more of those, will just have the 2" and thats it. I have been answering emails and all that this morning so I am sure I sent you a reply as well. Pls let me know what all you would like to get done and specifics and I will work with you to make it happen!

@NickDlow Now thats a hellova combo with all that you got there! Very nice UD, it all looks to go well together, thanks for letting me do what I do bro, I appreciate you!

@KidFated. Thank you also bro, hope all is good for you!

Hope everything works out, Ed! I've recently become pretty disillusioned with glass adapters, so I'll likely be grabbing a Nano stem soon. I'd really love to see the E-Nano water pipe adapter come back.

Since when did we get the idea that Ed doesn't make Nano wongs anymore? Doesn't make sense to me - as far as I know Ed's Nano wongs are alive and doing very well! ...they are essential!
