Im finding it impossible to figure how to get adapters and connectors for air/ ppro car charging.
I figured itd be much easier

Off this topic; I just trimmed a screen to fit barely above the herbs and it works even better with this screen. Plus, better for the chamber.
I think I want the bottom of the stem unobstructed for airflow and reclaiming purposes

hopefully I'll actually add some pictures eventually, will prolly help me be a bit clearer. tomorrow perhaps :)

Please do senior. I too was able to get a screen in, its a 1/2 I used with my solo and was already domed slightly (I cheated).

But there are seperate, respective connectors I could order in conjuction? Or am I completely missing this?

2.5 connects to a 4, then should fit the cord

Dude that is far from what you need. That is for audio not power cables.

I think you should go with this:
http://arizer.com/store/en/arizer-air-parts-accessories/102-air-car-charger.html

Stock for arizer air, no modding or anything to figure out. If you still need to charge your PPN in the car then find a cable that works with that (notice the extra USB port on the charger)

And guys, am I missing something? I see a power indicator, I guess not a meter per say but works well for me

Still figuring out the LEDs, they do some weird things when plugged in and also when low battery leds look like they are having a seizure lol

I'm having trouble finding that cable to charge the PP in the car. I knew arizer made one but I was hoping to find a dual

I'm sorry you're having trouble with this, but it's exactly what I expected. It's what I found, why I made my own and suggested you contact Pipes. He has most of the parts you need already and has the skills to make up the truly custom connector adapter you need to fit the 3.4 mm connector of the Pinnacle. I was able to make the ones I used since I'd already bought some of these inserts needed for my experiments with Ascent:
http://www.digikey.com/product-search/en?KeyWords=839-1215-ND&WT.z_header=search_go

This is just one of 3 common coaxial connectors with that OD (otherwise listed 3.4 mm) with different size center pins. I don't know if they are the 'right' one for either Ascent or Pinnacle but it does work for me and matches the connector I scrounged from my junk box (that barely was long enough for Ascent) and used on my first attempt at a 'gadget' charge controller:

Those parts are plenty long, but you have to solder wires on them. They're made to be over molded on the end of cables, likely similar to what's used on the old cable end I used (ironically it had a car cigarette adapter, but was set up for 12 VDC).

I seriously doubt you'll find this stuff premade on e-bay, which is why I suggested Pipes and said 'you're on your own otherwise'. He has the skills and resources necessary and a history of doing just such things at a reasonable cost. Those suggestions stand.

Otherwise, ONJ has nailed it. You can start with the Arizer cable and car adapter and see if Pipes will make you the necessary adapter to mate it up to the Pinnacle.

Good luck, it's possible, I've done it, but I don't think it is the way you're trying (or I say so).

Short of trying the inverter, thats likely my best bet.

The Air is $170 @PuffItUp. Code: Air - Just click Puff it up at the bottom of the FC pages.

Now's your chance to jump on the Air bandwagon. Nice price, buy and extra battery.

Whoa! That is one eYe popper! Carumba! & faster delivery, by gum.:mmmm:

Interesting, site also has the short Air stems, for $10...

Randy's outdone himself, again! X-tra battery, to boot.

I ordered an Air stem from PIU last week. It is in fact the longer of the two aroma tubes I originally received with my air purchase...FYI
Its so odd... that everyone isn't selling the smaller stem with the mouthpiece and even the newer all glass air piece. Just the long mouthpiece stem is available that isn't even packaged with the air anymore. People can't even replace their stems at all without buying something different for replacements.

I guess randy got so many pricematching requests he decided to just make a coupon code to make it easier :p
(2) ! Here's a simple solution to your 12 volt charging problems. Do what I do. Use a D4 nitecore charger which also runs off 12v with a lighter plug, and charge your spare or spent battery in that. Charges at 750 mAh, takes about 2 hours to charge a red-light'd (about 3.7 volts) battery. Any other setup will take even longer. The D4 nitecore is an intelligent charger that I bet my money on is a better way to charge these batteries than using the Air's internal charger. Not a dis on Arizer, just is kind of common sense. I'm sure the internal charger is fine....haven't timed how long the air takes to charge, and, of course, if you're charging while using, it'll never charge up. In fact it'll eventually fail I believe.

Since most Airs come with an extra battery, I suggest investing in a D4 nitecore or similar intelligent charger and charge them at home or in car, and switch them out when one goes 'red-light' in your Air.

I too kinda miss the battery level indicator of the Solo, but, with an extra charged battery in tow, I have nothing to worry about.

Hope this helps, just sharing how I do things.
that's also my plan, I'm still waiting on the charger from ebay, but my air hasn't arrived yet either so I'm patient. ordered the charger 2 weeks or so earlier, so hopefully they arrive around the same time. the posibility to do that was what pushed me over the edge to buy the air, I ordered some spare batteries with the air right away so I can just stick a bunch in my pocket each time I go out with the air, don't think I will use the internal charger much.

Solid plan, I like it! It's probably been mentioned but has anyone found an extender for the charging cable? Another 3-5' would be nice. TIA

In a pinch, you can splice your needed length from an old charger, being careful to mind the polarities....

Always nice to be able to improvise on the run. :buzz:

As long as you are DIY, get a male, and a female plug (from RS, Digi-Key, etc) to fit , solder them on. Cleaner, and you can shorten/lengthen, at will.

My American friends, now is the time to buy! Seriously, the Canadian dollar is getting pounded right now. Since Arizer is based in Canada, it wouldn't surprise me if the massive price fluctuation / race to the bottom is a direct result of this.

(note: I know very little about economics, this is just an impression of mine given exchange rates and my experience as someone living in Canada who has to buy stuff in US dollars at times...)

I think their hope is that you loved the Air so much, you'll buy a second one! ;) seriously though, that's kinda odd. Give it time, shipping and sourcing can be weird when borders and multiple companies are involved.

The picture of the stem has a black MP cap on it, which is the short stem. The longer stem is naked, no cap.

So they must have inserted the image of the shorter stem, with MP cap, in error?

A tad disappointing.:dog:

The Air comes with two stems with a black plastic mp , one is short and one is a little bit longer .

Yes,...
Got also the same mail here :)

Sadly, ordered from Namastevapes for 188 Euro with the code JAN10 (Regular 239 Euro).
Which is also a good deal for Europe...

I too ordered off of namastevapes using that code, it only works out about 20 dollars more than the price at puffitup when you take into consideration the postage costs to the UK.. I was just wondering when you ordered off namaste, how long its taken for delivery and what country is that postage to?

I disagree, the photo is a very accurate representation of what you're buying? Even if not what you really wanted.

That stem shipped standard with the first units.

If you use the diameter of the tube as a scale, the photo shows about 2.5 diameters I think between the partition plate and the lower edge of the cap. Same as the longer stem no longer shipped, not under two diameters like the shorter one. 32 vrs 25mm long, 14.4mm diameter on the ones I measured)

It doesn't say 'replacement' (although I think at one time it did?), but rather says it's an accessory useful on Air and Solo: "Compatible with the Arizer Air and the Arizer Solo".

Disappointing it's not the shorter one we want more of, but IMO it's not a mistake nor misleading.

The Air comes with two stems with a black plastic mp , one is short and one is a little bit longer .

It did originally (and most it seems with a straight Solo stem as well), but that seems to have been changed before Christmas?

AFAIK all the latest ones come with the original short stem (with cap) and a new style (small holes, sharper shoulder) all glass stem that's shorter than the Solo stem?

Yeah, it takes a long time until they deliver to me sadly...
But the deal is the best what I was able to find, thats why I don`t measure the delivertime so much in this case.
Would like to leave the Country as "somewhere" in EU ^^ I hope this is ok for you :)

My ordering timeline so far...

money was send 21.01,
waiting for confirmation that they sending it to me. (3 - 7 days, it says to deliver...)
Only thing that i can do is waiting and using the

My air came very quickly and was at a great price. Delivery came in to me from the UK as well. this is the second order now off NamasteVapes so far and been happy with their service. I've ordered from Vapefiend in the past but had to go with the better price!

Quick question, I have a firefly but sometimes the battery life is just quite a hassle especially for group/use on the go. How does the air compare to the firefly? Firefly's flavor is the best I have tasted, I expect the air to have great flavor but not match the quality of a firefly. Does the air pack as hard of a punch as the firefly? I can get ripped from that little guy, not sure if I want to make the switch. I was disappointed with my EQ a while back when I bought it so I hope this doesnt deliver the same performance.
If you didnt like the EQ that DOESNT mean you wont like the air or Solo.

I have the EQ and the Solo. I use the solo 9/10 times. Its very different. Although they are the same company..the arizer portables are way different than the EQ

I always say i wish they would make a big fat Solo or Air...same design just plug in desktop size.
