Looking for a new portable to upgrade from MFLB

Hey all, first post here as I just discovered the forum today while researching. I'm kind of overwhelmed with the choices, so I was hoping I could get some advice for my specific situation.

Right now I have a MFLB, but I wanted a nicer, higher tech upgrade. Although I never travel with it, I want something smaller and fairly discreet so a portable is a must. I have kids, and though I smoke outside generally after they're in bed, I don't want something bulky that I couldn't quickly shove in my pocket.

I don't smoke every day, usually smoke by myself, and use small amounts, so efficiency is important. Typically I step outside, take 2 or 3 quick hits, and repeat a few times throughout the evening, so quick, occasional heating is a must.

Basically, what I want is a better, nicer version of the MFLB :) What got me in the market was trying out a friend's Ascent. Price isn't a huge issue, everything I've looked at is around $250 or less which is fine. A few that have caught my eye are the Solo, Haze, Firefly and the Ascent.

Based on those details, is one a clear winner?

Welcome!

You've come to the right place! And you've narrowed it down to quite a few great vapes. It really depends on your needs. The Solo is a great vape if you're trying to stay below $150. But if you're not on a tight budget, you have plenty of options.

One of my friends has an MFLB - she still combusts all the time, and doesn't like her MFLB. But willing to try vaporizers again after trying several of mine. She's asked for my help to get her an Indica Noir since she needs something stealthy and low maintenance.

Performance/Taste from the Indica is so-so, but that's secondary to it's stealth factor, it sounds like you really don't need that, so I'd say skip it.

I've got a Haze vape on the way myself, I'm anxious to see how it compares to my other portable vapes

+1 for the Arizer Solo. I started with the MFLB and then got the Solo and have never looked back. The MFLB is my outside world vape and the Solo is my inside vape.

I have tried my friends Solo before and it was fantastic. I don't own a vape but i plan on getting one really soon. I want to get something besides the solo though because i want to get something different. Im all stuck between the Haze, Firefly, and Arizer Air. Such a hard decision!!

For your needs it sounds like a puffit 2 might be a good option. Very small, fast heat up, and great for small loads. Cheap too.

Small portable vape- hands down the Pax by Ploom. Big chamber about .4 also you can use the bent screen trick to do half loads .2 with getting about 15 hits with great vapor clouds. Just keep her clean

Or get the Arizer Solo.built to last, taste, and great vapor clouds. Either one of these vaporizers you can't go wrong

I go where the thrills are
Firefly if you want MFLB-like on-demand heating in a vastly upgraded and easier-to-use (than the MFLB, anyway!) device. For easier, no learning curve, more session-based vaping, the Solo is great.

Different strokes, depending on what you really want.
