I doubted anything could have touched the hercules. 100x better than dab/rig in terms of flavor.

That's the thing, but even if the 1701 or similar carts incorporate a ceramic disc there's still that issue of using wires and welds. God knows what's underneath the ceramic discs in all these types of cartridges.

Has anyone else noticed that the titanium kiss carts are much less durable than the regular nichrome ones?

On the titanium carts the non resistance wire seems to just break off from where it is crimped together with the titanium. Very unfortunate. Having one single piece of wire like the nichrome seems to be far superior in terms of durability. Any thoughts?

i agree...i replaced 3 ti carts in a matter of 2 months from mishandling and improper loading methods. (i only use the rod the pen came with to load now). meanwhile i had the first kiss cart which is nichrome, never once any breakage issues. and i mishandled it just as bad. but taste is compromised more with ni right?
also i noticed my black wick kiss cleans up way better than the white one when i soak it with iso...is one better than the other?

You can't twist the wick around, or it can pull the crimp apart. Stressing the wires can cause them to break, sure. If you follow the directions to gently place concentrate on the coil and don't spin it around/push on it, they can last a long time! But in the end they are a disposable design.

The black wicks are the second version. They're supposed absorb it much better than the white ones so more goes into the wick and less goes into the cup. I think they work a lot better than the white ones, I totally prefer them. The white ones definitely get stained and stay discolored after iso soaks. I think you just can't tell on the black ones because they're black. I mean it should be the same clean up wise but I've never seen a post talking about that so I can't be 100% sure.

so the black wick is the better of the two...good to know. and i was wondering does anyone else experienced black residue buildup on the wick? it seems to develop even if I have some really clean really good wax. I also seem to not get that build up residue on my black wick, only on the white one mostly. any thoughts?

I know exactly what's underneath our 1701's because the 1701 is rebuildable. This video shows you our 1701s being assembled, and clearly shows what's in there.

The question is about the others.

Also note our 1701 is based on our universe cartridge that has been in development since 2011. A little search will show you current designs are copies of our initial test marketing designs from 2011. We just like to make things better before we put them out.

I remember you saying an updated version went into production Monday, can't wait to order.

Yup and since its rebuildable all you need is spare discs and your good to go. No more purchasing new coils at full price.

Plus with the additional improvements we have made we have reduced faliure rate.

This was the main issue we stopped production last year to fix issues that currently companies are experiencing with this design.

What type of mod do you recommend running the 1701 on? Can it be used on a mech mod? Will it be 510 compatable?

the 1701 can run on our Omicron, Persei, 8 devices, we have to do final testing on the Ophos and Omicron lite later on down the line.

I think we will be doing two versions of the 1701's 3.7v and 7.4v versions. Not sure yet but we will know later on down the line on what we want to do as for now its 3.7v only.

@THC SCIENTIFIC,

I am dusting my omicron lite off and ordering some new Tii-KISS carts. I'm on the w9 website, but the only options are:
"Ophos" and "Omicron/Persei".
What do I select for my Omicron Lite?

Also, do the Ti-Kiss carts work with the Minicron or Vaporizer? Is the Vaporizer smaller than the Minicron?

Thanks!

Select omicron/persei (601 thread), that fits everything but the ophos (510 thread).

So far I've used the kiss carts, globe, eo, mini, and okeanos on the minicron lite. You're good to go.

How long does the Minicron lite battery last with the Ti-Kiss carts?

Thanks.

I have some old Ti Kiss cartridges that need a good cleaning, they are like 6 months old.

The manual says not to submerse them in ISO, but isn't that the best way people clean them?
