Those would be them! I bought some of them over a year ago.
I opted for the high temp caps for just a little more money and piece of mind.
They have been working great for me for over a year! They still look new!
Planet Vape also has tons of SOLO/AIR glass and accessories!

Its black yet high temp silicone. Wonder if it fits any different than the other caps out there.

No, it's a similar but very new product. It's a different material and appears to be injection molded rather than dip molded like the high temperature vinyl ones are. Dip molded parts have poorly defined lips (since it's where the goo stopped on the shaft), have irregular sides (due to the flow) and a 'drip' tip in the center.

The cup on the vinyl ones is also deeper. About twice as deep, they completely cover the glass partition that makes up the bowl bottom. I cut them back to about half since they're slightly undersize, it helps in stretching them over the end (especially when hot......).

While Vinyl will dip mold well by solvent evaporation, not so Silicone (you need to contain it inside a mold on all sides). That means serious bucks for tooling, dip molding uses a metal rod with a small hole down the center to blow the cap off. They're dipped in racks of many dozens.

Next time I'm ordering something else I'll give 'em a try. They seem like a well thought out thing, potentially better than the high temperature vinyl.

Haven't seen anyone mention how quick this Air warms up from cold.
Incredibly fast, that's how !
I haven't yet timed it, going to after it cools off all the way, if I let it get the chance!
I'm using this way more than my Solo, it's just a better unit all around !
Gettin' some particles in the heating chamber and wondering whether to use a screen like everyone's talking about....undecided, but certainly don't want pieces going inside.
So, just wanted to mention that for people still on the fence wondering about this device.
Warmup time is SO fast, I don't even have time to grind and load before it's ready !

...does anyone know if the silicone sleeve cuts off any circulation of airflow? I know there's specific holes on top for the heater,...but I'm wondering about battery ventilation. This unit is exactly like an ecig...all of my flat top 18650's fit perfectly,...and they have a lot of Mah,..3400....I'm not sure what the rating on the stock air batt is but,...my Li on 18650's are 3400...and they last a long time......
One thing that was drilled in my head when I quit smoking and got deep into my ecig mods was proper battery ventilation....usually the vent holes were on bottom,.. Or close to there...
I'm just wondering if the grill like top portion is where it vents....and if so does the sleeve inhibit its ventilation.
....the fact that flat top 18650's can be swapped at will makes this the best choice in the long run for battery life....those 18650 flat tops are a boatload cheaper on any ecig site....by like 1/2. As well as a charger....
...I can't stand 3 month warrantied internal batteries that you can't change out...that to me is just silly.

I just need some help from fellow forum members to make a template i can send out. if somebody can get me a template i can send it out and start having them made. I think the skin would be best if it was designed to not go on the heater but right up to it. If someone can help please message me a template or message me and i'll send you my email adress. Not sure if this was directed at me but these are sticker skins unlike the one that comes with the air. So it would be best not to put the sticky part on the heater. The 1 that is included with the air is a silicone sleeve. What i posted above would strictly be for looks.

In the time that i have had my air i have came to hate the restriction it has, solo-esk milkshake draws have became the norm for me, so in the pursuit of airflow, i got out the good old Dremel tool and went to work. I present to you what i believe is the first Air-Turbo Stem?

I am so happy with the results, my draw went from milkshake like to drinking water thru a straw, so much easier!
Freshly packed.

Modded stem and washer on the right. I used a leather hole punch to make the whole in the washer bigger, worked really well.

Ok cool , i think i may have those round diamond bits in a dremel sample set at home. I am just going to try what you did to the bottom of the stem. I think you went a little nuts with the rest of it lol. But it came out good man .

This is a great little mod! I too thought that the MP stem had a more restricted draw than the solo-esque stem (though both are still better than the draw on an original solo). I have a Home-De-Pot gift card so im going to buy a dremel and some bits and try this out! I think even the solo-eque stem could use a single wide bore "turbo" hole instead of the standard 4 small holes. I may even modify some old solo stems/attachments to improve airflow and work better with the air

Heres a couple little mods i have done to my Air so far that changed the performance
1 Used a knife/exacto blade to cut the hole in the MP larger.
2 Cut off the upper portion of the silicone skin that covers the heater. This also prevents the heater area from heating up too much and makes the heater visible so you dont accidentally grab the top part of the Air after medicating.

Also I attempted to take apart my Air a bit, any advice on getting the screw under the battery cap off? Its pretty stuck in there and the only mini phillips screwdriver i have is tiny and doesnt have enough length/grip for me to apply a decent amount of torque.

I, three, don't have draw issues, although I had recently bought some glass-and-tile bits, to make my own DIY bongs. :brow:

A large Belvedere vodka bottle would make a nifty bong. Wish I was a hard boozer.:rip:

Nice adaptations @thesoloman , wish they sell the shorty @arizer stems, they are so underwhelming, so inconspicuous! So much "Air"-ittude!

BTW, you may want to change your moniker to "theairman", flyboy!:tup:

How many hits do you guys get out of half filled shorter stem bowl?
It seems like I there is no more visible vapor after about 4-5 hits on white and green settings :(

Yes but thinner vapor also means cooler vapor, and that is plus to me with these small stems. I prefer a less restricted draw in general and i want to experiment to what extent I can improve the airflow without thinning it out too much. I also have old solo stems to experiment on too

I took the silicone washer out and put a screen I had from my HI in its place.

I have those diamond bits,I like the notche's you put on the bowl of the stem.

Also at ENTgineer
I used the small driver I use for the Solo screws on the bottom
Craftsman model # 41293 No. 0 x 2 1/2 inch Phillips

The Air seems to up the ante on the Solo 's reliability, and function, with its svelte airstream silhouette. The user friendly swappable battery is spot on. JMO.

Air uses a 5V charger, with a 1.2 Amp output. I wonder if their R&D had considered a USB charging port? Is it because most USB source 100 mA, while a few max @ 500 mA?:hmm:


@thesoloman, the notches on the stem are an inspiration! Which Dremel tool did you use to cut into the glass, please.

Much of this can be modified. Fully and firmly pack down some finely ground herb, a full stem. You'll get crazy cloudy

The Air requires a loose pack IMO therefor it makes for better airflow. The Air is the way to go for stealth but I use my Solo at home. I do like using the Air with my D020 bubbler before bed lately on some evenings.
