OK so I used it. I used to bowl that came with Volcano. Blew bag some vape does come out sides the slits. All I did was tape it up. Let me tell ya, 100x the bag of herbalizer, zero leak. I enjoy just letting sit there no vape escape. The thickness cause the plunger in Volcano is insane size an thickness u can make is insane. Flavor is also crazy.

Thanks for checking for me. Will you get a use out of everything in the kit? If so I will just buy that.

Also, what do you mean by "blew bag some vape does come out slides the slit" Are you saying that just putting the Volcano Solid valve directly on top of the Herbalizer does not make a complete connection so some vapor comes out the side or are you saying that vapor is escaping the bag you installed to the solid valve?

Some vapor does come out slits barely any but just tapped the holes. Zero leaks, reason I believe comes out slits is fan herbalizer isn't strong as Volcano. But let me tell ya Volcano bowl, u can pack tiny or huge amount. The bowl with plunger an press thick clouds even lower temp. Amazing Def tastes better an great

Ok so like I said, when using a herbalizer filling chamber and just holding the valve on top... No leaks at all

When using the volxano filling chamber, instead of the Herbie one, small leaks appear in the slits.

I contact storz and Bickel to let them know, they ssaid I may have a defective plastic "housing" and are sending a new one. Once I get the new housing, I'll report on if it fixes the leaks in the side.

But like I said, if you just use the herbie bowl, and press down on it with the valve, no leaks!

Yea but that Volcano bowl with plunger. Man never got thick clouds zero burnt material. Even low temp thick more flavorful

Oh I agree .. The volcano bowl is better. I just won't be using it until I can get the slits to stop leaking.... Hopefully the new piece that storz sends will stop the leakage

For now the herbie bowl and volcano valve system is good enough for me

Whoa...so that is the volcano solid valve?

What temp were you using when filling that bag?

*EDIT*

Is anyone getting reliable vapor from the whip without using the fan assist? I find that with my unit I cannot reliably get that vapor I'm after unless I'm using the fan assist. It makes me wonder if there's much use for the whip without the fan assist. Any feedback or suggestions are certainly welcome.

Yeah that's the solid valve... That is using the volcano filling chamber instead of the Herbie filling chamber. Can't remember the exact temp... Probably around 410

I get great vapor with whip and no fan.
Let unit heat to the top (takes seconds).... leave bowl loaded and in place for 30 seconds.
Take huge pulls and you should get great thick vapor.

@Vitolo

I have never been able to get thick vapor from my Herbie without fan assist, no matter what I've tried. I've always thought it was just me, my lung capacity, and not being well most of the time. Now I wonder if my unit has been running a little cool all along. My Herbie is on its way back to me after having to be re-calibrated by the Herbalizer engineers. I am really anxious to use it again and see if I can tell a difference now.

@virtualpurple looks cool huh? :p

I can get reliable good vapor from anything, whips, bags, glass, if I use my method which I posted in the previous page. The fan assist helps pull a lot of hot air over the bud, so many you need to suck harder? Also make sure that your screens aren't clogged.

@Vitolo I get vapor the instant it hits temp (you could also hit it before it reaches temp, but you'll be getting full heat and you'll probably get some darkness in your abv).

@Vicki When I first got my unit I was extremely underwhelemed with the vapor production. It...was...awful. I am sosos glad you have your unit back! I also thought my unit was cool, blah blah blah, but I got my abv dark and such. IT was weird because when your unit was claimed cold, it also had darker ABV.

Please try my method on the previous page, and let me know if you can get thicker rips now. I WILL NEVER go back to the old method, just isn't worth the time, the haassle, and the tiny clouds.

The original whip is awful!!!
It tastes funny and doesn't give big hits.

I don't wanna have to pull on it for 20+ seconds to get a big hit.

This is for everyone ...

1) BUY a silver surfer whip kit (29$) this larger diameter whip gives huge hits effortlessly

2) buy a solid valve for filling balloons

In my opinion the herbalizer is the best vaporizer, with the worst accrssories.

The whip and bag are the worst! I hated my herbalizer for a LONG time because out of the box, it sucks.

Does everyone agree about the whip? I am planning to purchase the whip for my minivap because a FC member said it changed his experience. I am planning to buy the herbalizer in a few months (I'm moving out) and am wondering if I should buy the ssv tubing instead. It might not fit on the minivap but I can use it for my future herbie.

Trust me

Just like I said the volcano filling chamber is better and now members are starting to see that is true too

Welp that Volcano soild valve kit is the shit. Tiny amounts just cover screen push plunger all way down. I got like 4 to 6 bags off tiny bowl thick vape.

Actually, UPS still has my Herbie. According to UPS tracking, it is due to be delivered to me on Monday. I wish it were sooner!

Which method are you referring to?

Nice!

I can't wait until more FC members try the solid valve - I expect all positive reviews because it is simply amazing!

@Highland, yeah the whip tastes funky, the bags tasted funky. The whip was okay, but yeah the SSV whip is much much better! I find the old method sucks, so either way sucking on it produced no vapor for me, my new method is a different story :).

As for

1. I spent 10$ on SSV tubing (10 feet) on SSV's website. What "kit" did you have to buy and why?

2. Yeah solid valve looks like the legit thing to go to.

3. Yeah, Herbie is a kick ass vape, but it has problems.

Besides the shitty whip, and bags, the auto-shut off if also annoying....

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

@mixchu69, it's more an issue with the bowl than the whip, the whip is okay, but I noticed the SSV whip gives you a faster rip, due to the thicker tubing, which ends up gving you a thicker hit overall. It's thin, so muight be better for the minivap, but it has a "clean" taste when you first get it, so it might not be preferrred.

I personally say to go with the SSV whip since it doesn't taste like anything, but either whip should be preferred. Just need to use my method to get thick nice rips :).

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

@Highland, until we find out a way for the bags with the solid valve, he is looking at using the whip.

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

@mmafighterthe25 yeah that's how it is when you pack it down nice and are able to get those thick rips. The punger is great, it's doing the same thing as my screen method, which is nice.

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

@Vicki oh, well close enough :p.

I was referring to this method in my video

Take everyone's opinion here with a grain of salt. What they don't like you might love. For me and many others he Herbie whip is great. It does a great job at cooling the vapor and would be more then suitable for your MV. I don't suggest buying the ssv tubing for the Herbie especially if you think you will use the fan assist quite a bit. I did that and the heat warped the tubing some and I had to stop. Hope that helps !

He's right! Opinions are like belly buttons, everybody has one. ;)

You should consider yourself a sponge, and this forum is water. Soak up as much information as you can, and make your own choices based on that information. :)

I want to focus on the important topic of re-calibration.

Q1:"What if the calibration could be done by a combination of buttons like a master control code"
Q2: "If Q1 is true, why shipping returns needed? trust the early customers and give the master code to the public? Is there an hidden port to plug herbie computer?"
Q3:"does temperature slide related to a "moving part with time" into the system, like a glue point moving by repetitive heating"
Q4: "if Q1 is false, does recalibration implies to plug to a computer or open the device and change smthg in it?"

Dunno if official brand could consider it.

I've already said this, but will repeat. I love Herbie's whip, and here's why:

-Superior flexibility...I don't have to fight it
-Great cooling at its current length
-take the mouthpiece off and the flow opens up wide
-easy to clean

The only thing I don't like about it is how it flops over and kinks up when it gets hot (usually only happens when using 445). I fixed this by putting another tube outside the Herbie whip at the bowl and it works great. I wasn't overly fond of the whip at first because I was used to the Extreme and SSV tubing. But once I used it for a while I love it and don't like the other, stiffer whips.

At first I perceived that Herbie worked best with the fan assist on, if you are after thick vapor (@Vicki - since your unit was known to be faulty, I think we should reserve judgement until you get your fixed one back). But after some use and tweaks (like removing the mouthpiece), I can huff on it as hard as I want and I get great hits.

The bags are a different story and they are working on it...

The fact they you get bigger rips from the ssv whip is not an opinion

Neither is the fact the hits are more effortless

The Herbie whip is not so horrible if you remove the mouthpiece
