I use to have the same bong and downstem but I broke them before getting my mflb i might get another one and copy that set up

Just recieved my launch box from randy @ Puffitup, great little package. Love the extras that are included in the bundle and arrived super quick!
Now isn't the time to hit the vapor but really looking forward to my first test drive with the latest addition to the Vape table this evening!
EDIT: That tiny little mini beaker is awesome NYCD!! What are it's specs and where did you get it?? That looks perfect for a travel pipe. I'm in the market for a new one since I sold my Ehle 250

Not true, ever since Magic Flight redesigned the air intake I too have had problems with very finely ground herb felling into the air intake channel and getting stuck in little spots. And no draw would ever get the herb back into the trench. I would sometimes have to open the lid and try and get the little bits that got stuck underneath the lid, it was really tedious. I mostly have this problem while traveling with the LB, but even while just shaking the box I have had this problem, and I know I am not alone because my gf and a close friend both complain to me about the same thing. It is a huge inconvenience, especially when considering that I feel I got much more satisfactory hits with the older air intake channel design.
Oh how I miss that old channel and the more restricted air flow. Twas perfect for me, but I guess all perfect things must come to an end sooner or later. At least It has a neat ball catch now..

I would just be sure to take care when transporting a loaded MFLB. As for the air intake, you may not have any problems, my problems are from me being used to the older, more restricted air intake they used to have on the boxes before they made the change when then began to make the boxes out of maple. For the price it is still one of the best, if not the best portable vape on the market. And the lifetime warranty is brilliant, I should know I have used it twice.

Fact is That the change was engineered and considered for a while, as was the change to a glass stem.
They will not likely "reverse engineer" the box back to the way that the air intake was any more than they would go back to the original style launch tube.
Sorry you have an issue with the air intake. I find the latest boxes to function great!

I agree with you guys! It was never a problem for me and I never lost herb through that opening, but its probably because I learned from the beginning to shake it in the manner that you both mentioned.

I gave you the basics though, it was a custom adapter for DBV/SSV and JUST SO HAPPENED(very lucky I was) to fit perfectly into the stem hole. So sorry, it wouldnt be easy to find a similar piece without having it custom ordered from a blower and make sure that it fits the same way. You dont need to go back if that answers your questions.

and I never said I get herb stuck in the air intake while I shake it, it's while transporting it with a loaded tench. Sure, I can bring a jar of herb with me and load the MFLB right before I use it but that kills the stealth a bit, which makes the MFLB kind of pointless for me.
and here I'll just post a picture of two MFLB's with the new air intakes and lets see if someone can explain the inconsistencies to me, and how they have no affect at all on the performance of each individual box? As you can see my warranty replacement(bottom LB in pic) has an even bigger air intake than the previous. Great!
I'm not sure how they make these air intakes but I much prefer the old method of using a drill to bore out a nice flat and even surface. These look like a lot more hand work and/or sanding is involved which leads to what you see in the picture, two totally different air intakes. I would think the air intake is a variable that you would want to control, and eliminate any inconsistencies. They all used to have the same exact air intake channel if I remember correctly, so I don't see how this is much of a upgrade, at least not in quality.
Sorry to "stir the pot" but I'm kind of surprised that this has not been pointed out yet. And once again just so I don't a verbal whipping from everyone, I still like the MFLB and don't know if there is a better portable out there, but the Arizer solo looks promising.

just transport the launchbox with the drawhole facing downwards in your pocket. a little herb may still work its way up to the air intake, but it will be reduced substantially.

Hello all. Having big problems with little launch box.Not trying to start a flame. I have been vaping for almost ten years, herbal for 30. Not a newbie. Bought MFLB in june, found it did not work and tossed it aside. Figured it was another portable vape that really does not work. There are so many. But so many of you swear by it, mine must be faulty. Can anyone out there give me some real information and/or advice about this? I did actual experiments and this is what I found:
Never been vapor visible thru top although there have been trace amounts of visible vapor upon exhale. Use a battery to finish one trench and basically just a little bit of flavor. One battery works MUCH better than the other two (more taste). Must hit ultra slow for even this taste. I can use all three batteries in a row, one battery per trench and it does not "get me there" after this 20 minute ordeal. When I say "get me there" I mean that it does not alleviate the headache behind my eyes. Nor does it have any recreattional effect. I can combust one puff after all of that and it gets me there in seconds. That is backwards. I switched to vaping because it gave me so much more effect for the same amount of herb.
ALSO: the abv from MFLB is not literally abv. It is toasty brown in color, but I can take the three trenches of ABV from the MFLB and put in the wand from an SSV. I get a couple of monster vapes. Normal abv does not give any vapes because it has already been vaped (ABV). Does anybody have any insightS?

you are either a user with a very heavy tolerance, and the launch box just won't satiate your needs for a harder hitting device. the other end of the spectrum would be you simply have not perfected your draw speed/length, or your box is "running cold" i.e. out of calibration and is therefore subject for a warranty replacement.

There may be techniques that you are missing.. and you may want to check on batteries etc.
