And OF to the rescue again. I did fully charge after unboxing but likely had 3-4 unplugged sessions doing my review..... and because it's awesome.
Does it help battery life then, I assume, to use it plugged in after it's fully charged?

Actually no. You want to spend as little time as possible at 100% charge for maximum battery life. Li-ions come shipped at partial charge for this very reason. Storage should be done at about 60 or 70%.

'Leaving it plugged in so it's always fully charged and ready to go' is convenient, but will kill the battery off sooner. More so as it seems Air may be slightly overcharging (mine's about .05 Volt out of range) for increased battery life. I have mine rigged to stop charging at about 90% for this reason.

For maximum battery life I'd suggest after fully charging it, run at least a short session. It's your duty, make the best of it....... Or just plan on buying a battery a little sooner. Not near as big a deal as with say Solo or Ascent.

A fine point, to be sure, but them's the rules as I understand 'em. In the end it's made to use and enjoy, at your call.

Hey Vapers !
Got my Air today, from PuffItUp.com ! Shipping was lightning fast. Got a super deal by chatting directly with Randy. He sent a very nice metal 4-piece grinder, and an extra battery !!

Charged 'em up (you REALLY need to fully charge your batteries the first use all the way up, and it's gonna take longer than a normal charge), and got to vaping.

Wow, this is great ! Even smaller and more ecig-like than I thought it would be ! Thinking about centimeters/inches just isn't like seeing the real thing.
Extremely lightweight, especially compared with the Solo, which I already own and love.

However, the Air is delivering more visible vapor and I believe a better medication effect. After just 2 sessions I was very nicely medicated.
So I began with green level as that equates to the Solo level I have used, and got great results. However one step lower, to white (which in this model is a full 20F lower than green), has more flavor.

It's barely taller than the Solo, unlike the idea I got from PuffItUp.com's images of the 2 side by side.
Hey I'm happy about that. This thing is so stealth, it looks like an ecig and doesn't draw any attention. Plus, I got mine in black.

Easier draw. I find the Air has an easier draw than the Solo which I'm also happy about.
So far I've only used the short stem, gonna use my Solo stems on it next, and then try the PNWT on it ! Should be epic!

So, a BIG thanks to Randy from puffitup.com, and to all you FC Forum users, particularly in this case those involved with this thread, for me getting my Air!
I'm going to end up using it much more often than I did the Solo.
Oh, and I'm still on the same battery. People say this and that about battery length, I'll let you know how mine fairs.

I got my Air from Randy just like others have reported and I'm smitten! With the two screen method this vape is beyond my expectations. This might just be the first vape I buy multiple units, I'm that impressed. The mp that fits 14mm is money with a bit of silicone and an adapter I can put this on all my glass. This is what I have been looking for in a portable and Arizer hit it out of the park!

The way I see it, you're saying partial charges can be beneficial.
Its probably 70-80 now and Id like to pick it up and use it.
That's helping the battery in a sense?!?!

Edit: two screens? One on top of herb to pack it down and such? I glanced through that I believe

Yes, it fogged up my glass on low just like my old Solo! Although it adds a bit of air resistance (I couldn't stand this resistance with my first Solo) the Air works great with this technique. I enjoyed the taste more and got more "tastier" hits than with one screen covering the holes only.

I'm still getting the hang of sessions per battery charge but if I can find a screen to trim a bit I'm going to try that. I do that with the bullets in my Ppro.

Anyone have any experience putting a screen on the bottom of the oven so the herb doesn't touch the bottom? I haven't been able to use my air yet (sometimes it sucks trying to find herb as someone without a medical card) but I want to avoid having that blackened layer of herb on the bottom of the bowl like in sneaky pete's youtube review. Would a screen even make any difference or would that layer get burned either way?

Wouldn't that also be the point of the screen over the herb as was suggested to me above? Nothing will fall into or touch the heating chamber

Ah, got it, we're talking about the same thing.

Let me know how it works out. Hopefully having a screen in the oven doesn't negatively affect the quality of the vapor and the even browning of the herb.

To be clear I'm talking about the stem only, so far the screen hasn't fallen into the oven.

@VisiblyVaped FYI vaporblunt baker herb screens fit perfectly as a screen "cap" if you pull them out of the bullet.

I'll have to order more, I use my ppro quite a bit still and would hate to disassemble my bullets for it

Yep. It's a complex thing, for sure, but not charging all the way to the top as well as discharging down a ways before recharging will give longer battery life. Avoiding the top 10% of the charge can double your battery life. Double. A second 'step' (avoiding the top 20% can double it again......four times more 'cycles'.

IMO useful guidelines, but not to let it get in the way of enjoying your vape.

By all means try if you feel inclined, but remember that oven floor is temperature controlled......it's really not burning herb like you're thinking. Most of us are satisfied with keeping it inverted for the first hit or two......AKA 'hamster style'.....until the load fuses into a single block.

You might give that a try, too. But be sure the drapes are drawn, it can freak out the neighbors....

Here's a quick DIY AIR screen cap. You need a 5/8ths screen and a BIC pen.




Wrap the screen over the bottom of the pen.



Use the bottom of the pen to flatten the screen a little bit.



This isn't too pretty, I just made it, but you can tweak it to fit better than this.



Not pretty, but it does the trick!

Fantastic! Thanks guys, makes much more sense now.

Here is a better way to conform it to the inside.

Push the screen into the glass and push it into shape with the bottom of the pen.



Then get the supplied poker.



Use it to push through the glass hole to push the screen out.


It looks and fits in much better.

If you think about it a bit you should see how using it plugged after it's fully charged means the battery ends up fully charged again? The goal is to not do that.

Planet vape also sells caps for the stems! They just don't have them on their website, or atleast I couldn't find them. I got a bunch when I got GonGs. Just ask Robert!

not yet, we met in town and vaped in front of starbucks so i only had a few batteries on me. i don't think i have any high amp drain flat tops laying around but intend to pick up a few for a better fit in smaller mechs.
