Started its life as an ash catcher and will finish out its remaining days as a cool little stand alone bubbler.

Blowing my mind here! I'll definitely be messaging you for future repairs!

@flotntoke I'm really interested in what you think of the carbed GonG with the enano. I'm patiently waiting for two myself.

I've turned a few of my friends/family on to the enano, and every time I send them links to a few of your posts over in that thread. Very informative (and appreciated), so I'm curious what you think of the carbed style in actual usage.

I do like the carb. Of course, it doesn't give the same airflow as lifting the GonG. It's different than my daily routine for quite a while now, so will take a little getting used to. Know my girlfriend and a few others will love it, though. They have to stop and think for a second when pulling the GonG using the silicone, and is much easier to just lift your finger a few mm's! For me, it feels odd not to pull whole thing. Still, highly recommended - especially if you aren't conditioned with the other method. Unfortunately, I have a fit issue with mine and have to send back for a tweak. At some positions the glass is just a bit too wide and heating element doesn't stop at the ridge. Nano just slides down until it hits the carb stem. Hoping it can be easily corrected and the problem isn't with my older nano heating element (smaller ridge? I dunno). Have been in touch with @VaPeD&CoNfUsEd and he's enthusiastic to get me fixed up.

Tried one of the solo ones last night. Was first time I've had solo on glass so a bit different, but liked it fine. Still felt weird not to pull everything when clearing, though.

Thanks for passing along some of my posts. I'm flattered! Just hope they are the good ones and not the :mmmm: ones.

It does take some getting used to when your ritual has been pulling the gong for so long. hell I still catch myself pulling the whole gong from time to time. Your tweak will be easily corrected. Should go back out to you the same day I've received it. I apologize for the inconvenience. If I recall correctly, the ridge on the older nanos is a hair slimmer. I mean a fucking hair. But when the tolerances are under 1mm as it is, that "hair" can be all the difference.

If that ridge was thicker pieces would be so much easier to get a perfect fit on. And they'd feel more stable as well.

@flotntoke, they were the good ones.. the "instructional series" that should be included in the enano manual/8x11 single sided instructions (with zero visual aids). This scene is in its infancy, so I get it, but it is a bit difficult to explain over the phone how to use a log vape.. and you give good instructions to pass along.

I was concerned about the clearing draw with the carb. I've had the enano for a year this spring, and am pretty used to it. I'm used to pulling both the nano and the gong at the same time to clear, I get massive hits this way if timed right. I'm guessing with the carb I'm going to take a bit longer to clear fully? If so, I'm okay with that, but may just pull it if I want an epic hit.

Question: I'm going for the "stoner after work, I'm lazy" approach. I've rigged up a frankenstein FC-187, standard GonG, wine stopper, tubing, JoDa stem at my desk at home. Every two or so hours after work, I sit in front of the computer and have a 10 minute session.

Currently lifting off the enano and GonG for every hit is interfering with my lazy approach.

What I'm hoping for is to be able to go through a session without taking off the enano or gong (with the carb'd gong). Basically letting it heat soak for a minute or so between hits, vaping till it is time to stir, lift enano & stir, take another hit or two, clean everything up. Sound reasonable?

Edit: @VaPeD&CoNfUsEd just read your post. I have a gen 1 enano (I think, it has the shorter attached cord, not the reinforced that was released last summer) and a gen 3 (removable cord). Which one would the GonG's that your making for me work best with, gen 1 or 3?
