Lol thanks to the feedback of @MinnBobber I'm now comfortable in listing the MiniVAP SonG's on Etsy.

Introducing The MiniVAP Silicone Waterpipe Adapters (SonGs) - 18mm and 14mm
il_fullxfull.706313721_sp89.jpg

Stay tuned for the Crafty/Mighty SonG's next!
..........................................................................
Just an addition: the 18 mm version is thicker and stiffer so if that appeals to you, you may want to order it. The 14 is more flexy but the miniVAP is not a wide unit like the Herbie so I expected to have to hold a HT in place lightly.
Inverted, the 18 is stiffer and on my bubbler it will hold the mV upright by itself BUT I don't really use it hands free as the slightest bump might send the mV toppling. I tend to remove the mV between hits.
The Song gives a perfect seal and is a very useful addition to the mV accessory arsenal.
The more ways to use it, the better!!

Yes! In less than 5 days from my Etsy Suspension, I'm proud to introduce my new store on an entirely brand new platform! This system has a full fledged real-time shipping calculator to accurately calculate the shipping prices based on location. Moreover, I now offer multiple shipping speeds! For best pricing, I suggest first class postage, however I can now offer priority and priority express shipping options for both domestic and international orders!

Please excuse the store's messy appearance, I'm still cleaning up the content (like standardized image dimensions) and adding some special forms for custom requests, I also need add a true card processing system (currently using Paypal checkout in the meantime). All that aside, I'm proud to say my store is open for business and taking orders!

Thanks to everyone for this huge opportunity. I'm humbled by the experience, and determined keep going now that Etsy told me I can't use their platform (Fuck Etsy, their loss!).

I'm also REALLY excited regarding some store big news, but I need to wait a little longer before I can share it with ya'll :ninja:

Nicely done brother! Man my Crafty/Mighty GonG's have had an interesting little globe trot, stopped at various other international airports after leaving you and the US mainland for some bizarre reason! Obviously absolutely not your fault in any way though :)

Expect vids very soon! :D

Thanks! Still much to do, but I'm happy to have my store open again (especially after dumping a few $$ on building and setting up all the services I needed to setup this store!)

Lol, I just looked up the tracking, I can't believe it still hasn't been delivered! So much for USPS priority flat rate!

Man the crazy thing is it can and has taken 5 times longer for me to receive first class international from the same area lol.

Receive the SonG's yesterday, have used the 18mm and get epic, effortless whitewallage of my pieces. I'll put together some milk vids soon :)

This product is a complete no brainer for any Crafty/Mighty users, and the new shorter SonG's can only be better still! :D

Cheer @Ratchett :leaf:

Congrats Ratchett! You've been busting ass and I'm sure it's going to pay off!

The Haze is going out tomorrow and I hope you have some fun with it to stimulate those creative juices.

I'd like to see some sort of dock. Possibly something where you could hold the unit along with extra battery, tweezers, mouthpieces, extra cans, ect.

Of course having a SonG for the Haze would never be a bad thing either. You could probably do this in two different ways. One with the mouthpiece and one without.

Any other ideas?

Good luck with it! Keep it as long as you need!

Dude, that's nuts - I swear I selected USPS Priority mail! Maybe we can bitch to USPS and get a refund on shipping? Isn't there some sort of guarantee?

Maybe I should go with UPS or FedEx for international shipments..... What's everyone's preference? I believe UPS is better?

I fucking love you guys. Consider it done.

Time to bust out the 3D Scanner again!

This is why you don't need a desktop anymore.

Crafty at 192c through Ratchett's very own 18mm SonG and a nice big Luke Wilson piece for max whitewall viewing. Apologies for the lack of a light in the room lol
Nice!

@herbivore21 did your LW come with that godawful "Leisure" logo on it? I don't see it in the video, but I know he was putting them on that particular 15-arm piece when I got one.

I noticed you went two handed for the clear on the first hit, but quickly adapted your grip to do the "finger grab" on the SonG for the one handed clear. I did the same thing! ;)

I think I lucked out on an early piece before he was doing the Leisure logos (which I agree look terrible!). As such, my piece is all lovely and clear. Love the thick glass too!

The second hand on that first hit was actually to hold the piece down on the table, as I was leaning at a cumbersome angle to stay off camera ;) I usually hit the LW piece with my Crafty/Mighty while holding the glass as well as the crafty/mighty (requiring 2 hands of course lol) rather than on a table so was being extra careful lol

I'm back all, with another product announcement!

After two months of development, my Indica charging dock is now on sale!

In other news, I've been working on a new "Universal" sized SonG for the Haze vaporizer. My first version of the mold is halfway done printing.
REocKb3.png

This part will fit both a 14mm and 18mm female joints. It's fully parametric, so I can easily adjust this design to fit any vaporizer with a round mouthpiece.

Out of curiosity, why did you use a gradual slope between 14 and 18 sections instead of a straight ledge (that would shorten the overall length)?

:peace:
Honestly, because my injection molding process doesn't work well with straight corners - bubbles are an issue I'm still fighting with. Hence the taper. I may increase the taper ratio if necessary by reducing the height of the tapered section, depending how it goes.

I went with a simple SonG design to tackle this universal shape before I apply it to my other SonG models currently on sale. I expect to go through another dozen prototype prints before I find the perfect mold shape

Edit -
Here's what the molds look like

First off, the MiniVap cap!

Cheers!

I love how easy this thing pops on and off. Works well too!

I let you know what I think of the rest.

Thanks again!

Note that Ratchett's piece can serve other methods on the miniVAP.
I often attach a MFLB whip into the piece (as directly into the mV cover is very loose
fit). It is very secure with this piece. I start with direct whip hits at low temps.
The long whip and glass end piece give cool hits.

Then, up the temp and put glass end piece of MFLB whip goes into bubbler.

This allows "no hands" use of bubbler.

Yeah I also have the 14 MM glass GonG coming and a whole bunch of other goodies too. I'm just getting started with this thing!

In other news......I also took the opportunity to break in the SonG for the Crafty.

Oh boy, I'm loving that too!

I start the Crafty dry at 340F to savor the flavor of the low temps for about 5-6 pulls and then booste to 385 and throw the SonG on quick and easy.

There are a couple things I really like about Ratchett's creation.

1. Nothing different in the air path from the Crafty. The SonG simply seals the outside and the air path is still just the Crafty mouthpiece. My old setup required the vapor to travel through a silicone whip which further degrades the taste.

2. As I said this thing is super easy to put on and take off. It also creates a seal pretty easy against the glass but more importantly (IMO) it breaks the seal easy so you can clear the bubbler by using one hand.

I also like that you can twist the Crafty mouthpiece 90 degrees to create a different angle. I am liking this angle here....
20150131_003712_zpsiffgu1u3.jpg

You can literally use your fingertips to create and break the seal for pulling and clearing. I'm really liking this so far!

Lol, Indeed, it seems many of my Silicone adapters may work for other purposes.
These are very pliable accessories. This pliability means they can can stretch to fit other shapes.

@Shit Snacks reports that my Indica SonG seems to work with the Herbstick, and I think the Daisy vape?

Yes they could fit most any vape and work perfectly, even though my Indicas are down I use the SonG plenty (still haven't had the chance to practice test the firefly one more thoroughly, but even if I can't master it its not loss bc of how versatile the SonGs are). I bet itll fit any pen vape, even the eventual/hopeful grasshopper... Hell I even fit the FF SonG over my long Solo stem and it worked, although it was ofcourse unwieldy with that set up

Currently I'm running a Flashforge Creator Pro and a Makerbot Replicator 1. However I am constantly evaluating the marketplace for another printer. And waiting for the right opportunity to grow.

I'm still not sure if my next investment will be a new 3D printer, or a Laser/CNC machine to expand my workable materials list.

I've also been watching the SLS market closely. I plan on being one of the first customers for a sub-$10k SLS printer

Cool those are some nice machines. Did you see that dual exruder machines Are being used to print with continuous carbon and glass fibers! Muuuuuuch stronger .

My next machine will be a dual extruder for sure. SLS is cool but I think it will be a while for those to be in a decent price range

You should really check out soliforum.com really cool solid community of 3d printers And makers.
