Hey I been kind of curious what the consensuses is on log vapes. It seems like the enano, underdog, and HI are the top log vaporizers anyone with experience with some or two or all? After my cloud EVO was gone for repairs I figured I might need to invest in a back up one. Just interested if anyone can point me towards the better one or if some just have different characteristics

When I was in the market for a desktop vape, many fellow FC'ers nagged me - "dudddeee, get a nano!" - so I did. And I never regretted that decision. I even went as far as buying an exotic log from @Snappo and ordered a second Nano which I use daily.

I am a nano fanboy, and I'm not afraid to say it. I have not had the luxury of using an HI or an UD at this time, but I certainly don't regret my purchase.

I think it's been mentioned before on the Nano thread that it's the "poor man's evo" - at under $200 for a standard unit, it's worth every dollar. And really, I don't see how you could break the nano - it's a very simple design - aside from a defective heater core, I don't think one person has managed to *kill* their nano.

I especially love the ability to customize my Nano setup with some custom glass from @VaPeD&CoNfUsEd - it's fun to switch GonG stems with different color's & designs (waiting on a galactic themed one now!)

All you'll get is opinions. There are pluses and minuses to each, relative to each other, but they all produce vapor equally well. Check out things like temp control, vapor path diameter, 12V or 120V. It's like buying a car. How it suits you, in particular, is more important than slight differences in specs.
or if some just have different characteristics
Now you're on track.

Appreciate the replies! I have a firewood for a portable and the taste is great with the walnut its made from. People really do seem to love that e nano though. I haven't done much research on it they do look like some very nice pieces though that's for sure

Would it to be possible to pair any or all of these with a hydratube? Would be awesome if I could just go straight to water filtration since I've grown a little accustomed to it out of my cloud EVO

Sure you can :) ! But i think it is better to aquire something smaller in size like the pinnacle water tool(Can be found on DH gate for dirt cheap) :). Cause hydra tubes are rather large in size compared to most logvapes.. and it wont be wise to leave it stading on it .

I totally agree. They are much smaller than they seem (in pictures). I would first purchase one (I have the nano) and once you receive it, look for a water piece.

The nano pairs very well with water, but I personally stick with keeping the Nano inverted on a bubbler (I don't like ABV dust falling onto my nano's heater core)
They say it is the same for minivap and evo. Just invert and use your own water piece.

since I've never used any other logvapes as the UD and PD, I can't really say one is best. but I love my UD, and based on things that don't directly relate to function, I think the UD is the best. and those things not related to function are:
-the HI has a long waiting list
-the nano only works with 110 volt, not 220(as far as I know), so since I'm in europe with only 220 volt outlets, that rules out the nano for me.

Reading through the threads and company sites will help. Each company offers slightly different builds and "extras" to use with their logs. Other than that, they work pretty much the same.

I will also upvote the UD. Had my piece for a year now and no problems whatsoever to speak of. Plus, when you purchase your UD, you are going to get quality reliable service. If you mention you are a member of FC the owner usually throws in a few freebies as well.

except for the heat up times, I can't tell much difference between the UD and HI. They both work best with a VVPS, IMO, so you can control the temps better. Also, the accessories like tubes and WPAs seem interchangeable.

i would rate underdog as my personal favorite due to pricing, performance, craftsmanship, diversity of wood/shapes, customer service, efficiency, and reliability. you can get a vvps for $10-$50 depending on how much you wanna spend. and the differing load sizes between the ss tips and the gongs is a nice option to have.

The e-Nano wins out for me. I like the construction of the HI and UD better, but I prefer the e-Nano for its availability, price, and the fact that a VVPS isn't necessary. I greatly appreciate not needing to plug my e-Nano into another piece of equipment (especially when traveling), but still having granular control over my temp. I've had terrible luck with the e-Nano's glass pieces though.
