What accessories would you recommend for concemtrates? Should I buy additional screens? Thanks.
yes get the screens from vapman himself or on EBAY...i use three screens in my vapman when i am dabbing. i want the oil to stay in the screens. Here is a link to the screens on EBAY...the seller is a very well respected member of this forum!!!! He is actually my brother from another mother!! I also bought my screens and vapman lighter from him as well.

Alright... Here's some more Vapman Porn!

Story:

I Two-tone charred another Basic and sent it to Nick to Engrave. Same design as before because I really like the Celtic Knot on the bottom ring and the Buddhist Eternal knot too.

I could not come up with anything I liked better so I also sent him my good old all charred "stealth black" Vapman to engrave and see how it came out.

Results:

Although the engraving was flawlessly sharp and the ring engracing dead-center (Nick is da man!) - I wasn't digging the black on black effect, as OF wisely predicted...

But I used this gold engraving paint to fill in the engraving, which I had bought ahead of time because I had the feeling that I would need it.

The Endless Knot came out pretty good, but the bottom knot didn't come out too hot because the lines are very thin and the paint didn't seem to want to stay in there when I rubbed off the excess.

Also, it was a Pain the freaking ass to rub off the excess while leaving the paint only inside the Engraved lines.

There are some little glitter guys here and there that I think will never, ever come off and I like the simple, elegant purity of the black engraving on light toned wood much better that this golden craziness...

Conclusion:

I am NOT doing this again and if my DeLorian wasn't in the shop, I'd go back in time and just not engrave the all charred Vapman at all.

Here's the results. Tell me you all think.

When I first got my Walnut Vapman, I initially preferred the Vaponic for its flavor and heat retention. But knowing how many glass vaponics I break I opted for the rugged Vapman for my World Cup line up, only as a back up. To cut a long story short it is now the only thing between me and 3weeks with just the PAX........it's handling the Brazilian Brick like a champ!
SO BEAUTIFUL......

What type of wood mouthpiece is that? I'm trying to find the match on the website...closest match looks like plum tree brown, but that looks almost like it could be walnut...

That looks classy as fuck! I almost feel like I should put on pants just to look at it. Almost.

Don't do anything out of character, Stu. I think the raincoat is just fine! If you put on pants, how would the kids down at the elementary school recognize you?

A lot of years back, in the seventies, we had a flasher in San Francisco. Nothing really new there, of course, but this guy was special. Short bus special. The guy would ride the cable cars with the commuters (you can stand on the running boards and just hang on, they go slowly). He'd wear the classic rain coat (even carried a brief case sometimes), he'd step off and as the car pulled away. Then he'd drop the case (if he had it), yell, flash the entire car on that side and disappear into the crowd as the car pulled out. Sometimes he'd flash the crowd too, sometimes not.

He became famous in a strange way. "Sightings" were reported on the news. Great water cooler scuttlebutt. He went so far as to tape trouser legs to his knees so he 'wouldn't show'. It all reached a truly classic point when a new photographer snapped a photo of an undercover cop, on hands and knees, peaking up under raincoats from behind the car at a stop.........

I kept the photo from the newspaper tacked up on my bulletin board at work, folks loved it. It started growing holes as it made trips to the photocopy machine......it finally ran away one night, I had to post a copy of a copy a workmate made. Folks would bring each other over to check it out. Gotta love it.

Thanks for the stagger down memory lane!

I do believe that it enhances the experience. I really like the view of the celtic knot on the bottom of the ring when I'm torching it. It looks sooo cool!

I send my Vapmans to Nick at http://www.colaserengraving.com/ He can engrave anything you want. The hard part is deciding on the image you want. You'll have to check with him to make sure the image is right for him to engrave. -- It has to be black and white. You can't engrave gradations (grays).

There's no need for me to become the middle-man with engraving since you'd have to send me your Vapman, then I'd send it to him (twice the shipping cost), and I'd have to try and get something for my time... etc... etc... It would just add time and cost for no reason.

Nick knows his stuff. He can help you out.

Now, I'm working on ways to make the two-tone charring easier for me because it takes so long right now and it's tricky. I can mess it up pretty quickly if I'm not careful. I think the two-toned charred and engraved Vapman is the coolest looking, but I may be biased. ;)

i understand, it's a matter of personal taste, but i didn't find the black-on-black version looking that bad at all. but fantastic job on the gold version, regardless. :)

My face is melting...
How fouled is the inner bowl of your VMs?

Mine is pretty nasty. It's my own fault for pushing keif through it and not keeping it clean between sessions. Now I have a lot of work ahead of me.

In the future I'm going to press a screen into the bottom.

Sweet customizations too....no sure if I could ever be motivated enough to do that myself though.

That black engraved vapman is gorgeous.. :mmmm:
Haha. Thanks @KidFated. :)

@basement farmer, I cleaned my first Vapman - the all-black one that is now the golden engraved one, with 1000 grit sand paper. I posted a pic of the results a while back.

It looks kinda bad because I sanded off the gold plating, but it's clean now and works great.

I learned my lesson and my new one looks like it's never been used because I clean it after each use - while it's still warm.

the vapman is literally amaze me each and every time i use it.
it makes me wonder how i can make other people to want to own one as well.

i have a small circle of three guys that really liked it, and when we meet, they don't even think about any other alternative. i hope that someday soon they'll be ready to get one, but it takes some time to understand how good this thing is, and using it once a week, doesn't speed things up.

i need to spend more time with them....

I'm a newbie considering getting a Vapman as my first vaporizer. I like that it's compact, discreet, and it looks durable. I'm a bit torn between which wood to choose...I know I would like to add a wooden mouthpiece to whichever model I pick. I know that the Yew looks good with all of them, I saw pictures with all except the yellow plum stem. The Walnut it suited well by the brown plum, as well as the others, I think. I'm leaning toward getting the Walnut or Yew...but the pear mica or basic is the most economic choice... I haven't seen any pictures anywhere with one of the wooden mouthpieces from the vapman store. It would be nice if the Vapman site put up pictures of what each model looks like with each different wooden stem. Anyway, which wooden mouthpieces look good on the pear mica or the pear classic? Which is the best combination?

Just wanted to post about some of my experiences with concentrates since i have gotten back from Colorado. As i have mentioned before I am a newbie to the world of concentrates and i broke my cherry with the vapman. Since i have been back i have also dabbed in my hammer and i bought a concentrate pen...drdabber...I wanted something to compare the vapman too. The vapman is a beast with concentrates and the hammer is a very close second...i hate the pen. to messy, got some big nice hits but the vapman is more efficient, easier to load and clear, also better tastier hits. The pen is too messy and wasteful IMHO.

My personal preference for pairing with the pear VM is my ebony stem. It really adds to the look of it. My favourite for my walnut VM however is the brown plum. But it is just a matter of personal taste - they all look great!

The VM is a fantastic little vaporiser. I can honestly say, with hand on heart, that I never intend to be without one. It is very compact - it's probably even smaller than you imagine too. It can also be incredibly discreet, in the right environment. The craftsmanship is also out of this world - they're so well made, if you look after them well they'll keep you medicated for a long, long time to come. I now use one VM for herbs and another for hash. I'm quietly hoping oils becomes increasingly more popular over here, just to give me the excuse to buy a third for my collection! ;)

I'm a newbie considering getting a Vapman as my first vaporizer
The VM was the second vaporiser I purchased, after the Solo. In comparison, the VM definitely has more of a learning curve to it - but I still got decent enough vapour the very first day of use. It did take a little while to perfect my technique though, and for the process to become second nature. But for me that wasn't a negative - it was an enjoyable process. I love the ritual involved in using the VM, I love the materials it's made from, and I love how medicated it gets me off so little. It's a tactile, organic, beautiful piece of functional art. I love to just look at it and stroke it....... once you get yours I'm sure you'll be doing the same! :D

Vapman for world domination!! All hail the small but mighty Vapman!! :D
