No it was from the bubble bag folks, ~1.5 years ago when the 1.0 was supposedly just out of beta.

I just did a video comparing the sub to the cloud, my verdict is i think the cloud is actually kind of better.. i'll upload the video when i can be bothered.

Ok so I'm a first time poster (so be gentle with me :D) just finished this long and sometimes redundant thread :lol:

I'm about to place my order on PV for:

Dabmaster XLR 2.0 SS Master Kit
Glass Tube
Safety Cage
WISPR Mesh Screens? (Seemed the most sturdy) or should I get iolite screens from Amazon?

(I'm waiting on a response from PV...hoping they'll be able to give some package deal instead of having to buy everything separately but we'll see.....)

Also going to order some small spoons (as I've seen from the thread they come in handy ;)) as well as a KAW.

Is the general consensus that the KAW is still good to have even with the new monkey controller?
I'm guessing it's still more precise to know the wattage rather then a yellow, green, or red light on a black box....

Is there anything that I'm missing that I should get!? I want to order everything and be 100% ready to get sublimated!!!!

Also shout out to all the members who've help me make my decision and inform on this product whether it was positive or negative I appreciate the full spectrum

@Tweek
@grokit
@Tommii
@CentiZen
@stickstones
@jambandphan03

And many more!!

as well as a thank you to

@Enrico
@DabDivas

for your intermittent visits to us here on FC

Here's a question for all the Sub owners:

with a pretty high tolerance, I could only make 28g's last me a month at MAX combined with smoking, and vaping with pax/firefly/solo/mflb

Given that .1 is said to have new sub owners feeling like they are smoking for the first time, how long can you make an oz last with minimal/maximum tolerance?

Potency of material had most to do with how long it lasts. Almost no vape Can spend .1 in one 5 or 6 second draw. Sub does it no problem. Imho that's what gives people the feeling of a dab off a sub. Much more medicine instantly. I find myself using more material now chasing the lung busting hits. But that's not a complaint in my book

First thing is to remember why you are medicating for. I have grown over the 6 years of cannabis consumption to a state of well being. You may think vaping so much will benefit you, however, you should factor in daily life and health habits. If you are not retaining a healthy lifestyle, your medication periods will tend to be longer. I notice how most younger users would get "blown" to the point where you don't even know how much you have actually used. Your body will end up storing these actives into your fat cells. In a way, you should be working your body to maximize efficiency. Not eating right (Food Pyramid) and not exercising could increase your tolerance/usage. You will see the structure and timing of your sessions if you do different activities while medicated to get your brain stimulated and bodily functions influenced by your "highness" (pun intended?) Try this, if you think you are at a higher level of tolerance/consumption, take some time to plan out when exactly you should medicate to fit your schedule. You cannot benefit your health with just vaporizing. Trust me, I am going through stomach pains right now. I eat very little for the last 2-3 years and also have been vaping throughout these years. What I am sure of is now that I'm more experienced and have acknowledged the beauty of medicating on the Sublimator, I tend to lower my dosage because of how well it does one hit wonders. I take breaks (sometimes just a few dabs off my honeybucket oil rig either both/or just day or night.) I'd skip out until I really need to relax my mind. I'd take less and less depending on the circumstances of the day. TBH, I'm considering switching from the Sub to something more portable but just as effective. I think the Haze will be one to keep my eye on as they have really taken the standpoint of where TV left off at. I still love my Sublimator but despise it for being the prototype rather than the final edition (won't get that fire started here again.)

I can last 7 grams for two weeks paired with a couple of grams of top shelf wax. 14 grams in a whole month if I'm stern on my diligence.

Oh god, the list is almost endless with me... I have everything from A-Z...
Just for the record, I've been pretty sober the past two months, I haven't really had time to indulge in cannabis use.

Let me just say, I am not a normal human being. I have SEVERE ocd, so my day is planned around a FULL 6 Hours of rituals,
Vaping is a reward/medicine for my ocd, if I vape the day before as a hang out with friends/relax type of thing, my ocd gets more relaxed as well the day afterwards, I cannot get high and so my compulsions.

My workouts are not as extreme as they used to be (I used to run around 18 miles a week, now it's around 2-3 as my metabolism is ridiculous) and I eat a LOT more healthy than what I used to. I still indulge in bad foods from time to time , but I feel that with the weight lifting/running I do throughout the week, my body is ok with it

Younger users are CLUELESS about cannabis, and I can tell you personally since I am only a couple years fresh out of highschool, that people in their younger years know nothing about weed other than "buy a shit ton, smoke a lot, get fucked up, repeat".
I am one of the the only one's out of around 6000 people in my graduated class that can accurately tell you information you will need in calming your medical problems.

with my mental state/disabilities I can totally say that your body will adapt to different techniques of smoking. my body is extra sensitive to things and I know for a fact that I "learn" these techniques very quickly which is why I have invested in so many different apparatuses for getting medicated.

Very true about when how and where you are getting high.. My sessions can last 5 minutes, or the whole day (mind my 6 hours of ocd though) and yes.. I can just do a quick sesh with just a couple hits when I need relief, and I'm fine. Getting "blown" high is usually not on my agenda. I actually HAVE to plan when I get high based on my ocd, so I really use cannabis on a time schedule like you said.

If this is an extreme ramble, I apologize. I am just trying to return the same amount of information as you gave me, which I might add, is the absolute longest, most informative, and caring wall of text anyone has written for me on a forum. I cannot thank you enough my man. I was cheesing really hard after I read your reply. Once again thank you :clap::)

I'm about to pull the trigger on the sub (not that you have to care)

but could anyone point me in the direction of anything else? I'm trying to convince myself to wait for S&B to tweak the crafty's build problems out if I were to purchase.
Idk, something about the sub just puts me off

I was moving the sub table while it was still hot and tethered, brushed it against the same tender part of the inside forearm so it's prolly gonna scar a bit like the last one. On top again so the new guard wouldn't have helped prevent this one from occurring either. One burn a year? Could be worse but I'll try for less!

grokit,
I'm currently at my computer, credit card in hand ready to buy... Should i opt for the Titanium Apollo version or the Stainless Steel? any noticeable difference?

edit: holy fuck planetvape rapes on shipping. For buying half a grand worth of product i would've at least assumed they would discount me that.

Now a new future owner of The Sublimator adapt a sub!!!! Thank you all for your replies

How much did they charge you? Are you shipping to the states?

I accidentally chose the $44 option which was equivalent to the $26 with no tracking (which says on their site that tracking is included for a flare rate of $26) god I need to change that asap

yes in from Texas so... complete other side of the map, but for 7-10 days, that's absurd

Yea I'm in florida, I have 4 items so it only gives me two options:

Expedited Parcel USA (4-5 Business Days* w/Tracking) - $56.94 Xpresspost USA (2-3 Business Days* w/Tracking) - $81.94

Depending on when I order I may shell out the extra $25 for the 2-3 day :shrug:

I'm hoping someone could give me a little insight on these questions before I order though. :D

oh Christ... I just flat out ordered the most recent model sub without looking at these wattage issues. Can someone fill me in before my order shops??

goin to some place where I've never been before
I find with my dabmaster it can take almost an hour to properly heat up :/. and i am letting them heat up together.

Same issue for me. I used to have the og SS apollo which took about 20 mins to be properly heated, then i upgraded to the Ti dabmaster, now it takes a good 50 mins to be properly heated. It actually turned out to be a HUGE downgrade. The dab-ability of the apollo is much better than the dabmaster. With the dabmaster i really have to crank it to almost full heat to get proper vaporization of my dab, otherwise it just pools on the ridge and eventually leaks down the side. The apollo was much better taking the dabs, it would like suck the dab into the hole as i pulled, so it would take it all in and vape it all, any excess would leak into the bottom atomizer thingie and get collected as reclaim. The dabmaster doesnt have that same pull in effect, you have to jam it in and it ends up in most of it dripping down the side. Wish i still had my og apollo, that worked the best.

blindowl,
@blindowl I just ordered the Ti apollo unit for mainly flowers.. did I just fuck up? I'm not the type of person that wants to wait an hour for medicating.
My day is centered around 6 hours of ocd rituals, so time is worth more than money to me

I'm not sure, i dont know if it has to do with the SS vs TI difference, or dabmaster vs apollo, or og apollo vs current model apollo. I know hole sizes and other minor dimension things have changed along the way on the apollo since the og version and the xlr.
I think it has to do with the dabmaster vs apollo tho, as the dabmaster has that recessed area, its possible they put a smaller heater in it? i'm just guessing here

blindowl,
Ugh.. I guess I'll just have to wait and see...

grr.. placed the order this morning and still no shipping info.
Ocd is not being kind about this

Man there needs to be more info about this kind of stuff, i think its more to do with the difference between the dab master and the apollo not the stainless steel and ti, ti is always going to be better than stainless steel imo. i'm thinking of buying an apollo heater because the dabmaster isn't really doing it for me.

There was a discussion about this in another thread, evidently titanium takes longer to heat up than stainless steel does. After following these sublimator threads I was surprised to learn this.

What you said is true.
I work with both metals on a regular basis and SS will always heat faster, and attain higher temperatures than Titanium, I have been saying this for a long time but people will always believe what they want to belive regardless of facts.
BTW, I own the SS Apollo and didn't go with the Ti not because of lack of funds, but because of what I have stated above.
