with a soft clean cotton cloth, carefully clean the underside of the Plexiglass window.. open it, and wet its underside.. and wipe well. That is where part of the stink clings to. As the combustion happens the immediate rising tar resins stick to that window.
After cleaning window's inside, I would not try baking soda, but would try one of the following:
1-get a small amount of activated charcoal and fill trench with it, and close box overnight.
or
2- leave box open and with fan turned toward it overnight.
or do both steps over two nights.
Right after posting this, I did a second cleaning. I guess I was a bit too high when I cleaned it last night because now most of the smell is gone.

I cleaned the plexiglass cover and the stem and I think those were causing the most problems. If it continues to smell I'll definitely try the charcoal and airing it out.
Thanks!

Well I managed to peel and clean the batteries. I just tried one...and these 2300 mah's seem to be more powerful then the stock ones I've been using. :o I'm wondering if the old ones weren't getting exhausted...

My wife has her own LB which she uses for tobacco. She has taken to putting the battery cap on the back end as to not lose it.
I commented that when she shook the box, the cap looked like an olive.
"Is that your martini" I asked.
Patty's comeback was... "I like my tobacco shaken, not stirred"

twas my own mother :ninja:
i had left it on my desk chair while i used the bathroom, and when i came back it was gone. i asked for it back politely, and even tried to explain to her the benefits of vaporizing over smoking, but i guess some people will never unlearn the reefer madness.

when i got my replacement i got it in a padded yellow envelope.
i believe the only thing it said on it was "hande with care"
and has blisssville address on it.
dont know where 847 is but i live in nyc and i got it in 3 days from Cali,
so you have to time it when no moms going to be home to see the mail.

ok your in Illinois? so maybe 2 days to get to you? possibly 3??
good luck.

Heh, mothers. Last time I visited home I had some brownies, a few grams, and my Iolilte sitting in the bedside cupboard. She NEVER goes in the guest room, but for some reason that time she decided to clean up in there. My Iolite was there when I got back, but the weed and brownies were gone. I guess the message was, not in my house?

The worst part wasn't even the stash, it was the loss of the perfect half-sized mason jar I'd been carrying it around in :(

Love the techniques for remembering spent batteries! :)

Indeed :)

as for myself, I have never used more then one pair(two batts) at a time and always had them in a battery case that used to be included in the kit and I had that for a while and only got battery caps recently but I still prefer the case if im not out and about.

that was like the longest sentence, you can tell the MFLB is getting it done for my morning vape session.
Having just two in one case never created confusion for me as long as I switched them once the 1st one(front , closest to me) was drained.

I bought extra battery cases, the same "Quest" ones, from ThomasDistributing, and they cost 3x more at Blisssville. just thought I would share this.

Just got my warranty replacement the other day. Super psyched about it but its not seeming to hit as hard as usual. WTF is up with that? I keep powerex's ready and eneloops and I recycle my batteries religiously every 120 days. Any thoughts?

And the headie im vaping is covered with little frosties and on my No2 its knocking my socks off! So its not the herbals. :peace:

Nothing new to most of you, I am sure.
I recently figured a new technique for a draw.
I hit native, not that it matters....
I hold the battery in for a couple seconds, take a draw for a couple seconds, release the battery and continue with the draw. I often "stack" them, repeat the above in the same inhale, press batt in and release after 2 seconds or so, while continuing the same inhale a few times.

This really allows the taste of the herb to shine through for a longer period of time and is my new method.

Not to say I won't still milk up my hops jagito with my lb, but hitting native is my daily.

Edited due to iPad assuming spelling and me not noticing.....technology....

Sucks to hear what happen stroh.

My mom was a fan of the dank, but never liked the LB.

RIP Mary Jane...yes her name was mary jane..fit her well

Sour Deez,
Got my launch box today! Vaped 2 and a third trenches, or I figure the equivalent of an average sized joint, which was my prior method of consumption. Was ridiculously high, higher than I've been for a long time, and still very high now 4 hours after first toke. Amazingly efficient, the little thing. I'd equate the effect of a trench as to that of an average sized joint to myself, but at about 40% the material.

For me there's a perfect head angle where I can gauge the temperature best, and slowly draw or sip to get nice thick hits. Definitely a learning curve still, as I can't always achieve satisfying rips. I found however that even if you're not seeing huge clouds, you're still definitely getting medicated.

One battery lasted nearly 2 trenches for me. I'd reckon 3 trenches per 2 batteries easily, pushing closer to 4 if I'm pushing it. 4 Batteries should be plenty to cover me even if I were to use it all day away from a battery source with multiple people. After depleted, batteries charged in the stock charger in about 2 hours which I consider pretty good.

The high I would describe as very heady but with a bit of body high. I did vaporize my herbs to a medium to dark brown, which I hear is more of a body effect than if left a little lighter.

Altogether I am extremely satisfied with the product. This thing will probably pay for itself in a month or two with increased weed conservation, and all the while I'm healthier and higher.

Glad to hear!! Its amazing how medicated one can get off 0.1g (or how many hits you get period).

When I first got the LB I vaped multiple trenches but now a full trench is almost even too much for me. For me, it paid for itself after about 2 weeks!

Sounds like it's not calibrated as high as your last. Have you tried rocking the battery different ways and seeing if the light gets brighter? Try removing the pushback ring in the battery hole.

I think its worth noting Magic Flight's recommended cleaning of the Plexiglass here as well(also conveniently found in the Vaporpedia entry):

Open the Box and turn it over. Place the cover on a sturdy flat surface. Apply a light coating of toothpaste, just enough to cover the dirty area. Use an old toothbrush or even a paper towel to rub gently in a circular motion until the cover is clean. Be careful not to apply pressure in a way that could snap the cover. Rinse with a little water. (Most people aren't aware that toothpaste contains a fine abrasive that is excellent for cleaning Plexiglas. It will even remove fine scratches.)
