Triple stack!? I think you shouldnt use more than 2 3.7v batteries max with the hercules. If you have to push your coil back in, you should squish it between 2 coins so the outer diameter of the coil grip the inside of the herc tank. That might help

I've been delinquent in getting a multi-meter but I think I really need to get one. I don't plan on using it for anything other than checking the SR74 and KISS carts. Should I get the simple one from W9 or a standard one (with the probes) from Amazon? If you guys think I should get one from Amazon, which one would you recommend?

Sounds to me like this is most likely the cause of your problem.

Neither the persei, nor the Herc was designed to be ran at that kind of power (or any of the attachments for that matter.)
In other words what you're doing probably isn't safe. It also is going to be very hard on the equipment, if not completely fatal to the equipment.

Actually what he's doing leads me to believe he's using the 8 Gary himself posted about running the herc with triple stacked batteries at 11.1v since its a mech it can handle it and makes the herc Fire even stronger than usual however if he's using the Persei id be willing to bet the over voltage protection is stopping the herc from firing correctly

Edit: yea it looks like I was mistaken I found the post of the Rda but the herc was just a test video on the 8

The SR74 on 11v is a BEAST MONSTER!! It's a super powerhouse at that level. Do I like? Nope! I am happy at 7.4. The power is instantaneous and harsh. Micro pulses is the only way to control the 8 without destroying your lungs. Lol. I would not try this on a SR71 rod. Dangerous territory there. I don't really recommend 11v set up. Unless you crazy and have monster iron alien lungs!! If you have little experience with this equipment don't try this. It can melt parts and destroy your 8/Herc! Or your face. At your own risk. I tried it one day but I won't try it again. Not for me. 7.4v for me!

Yes I have the 8 running 3x 18350 on 7.4 rod, puff puff.
One of my batteries took a crap(cheap ebay knock offs). Took the multimeter to find that out. One of them reads 0 which means short circuit or something, other read fine. I put battery in nitecore charger and all three lights on the charger flash.

Edit: 7.4 takes too long, I have lung cancer and can't inhale much smoke. The triple stack lets me get one nice cloud very quickly(1-2 seconds) then its cool down for a few seconds. The initial pull isn't bad its the cool down that kills me on the 7.4 setup

Apparently I was wrong, I thought he was using the Persei. The 8 is capable of running triple stacked 18350's.

Just wanted to correct that in case someone read it in the future.
Edit: Shouldn't the 8 get it's own thread? It isn't an attachment for the persei, it is a completely different vaporizer.

Any word on the kiss alpha? My kiss gr2 is my main portable driver and enjoy it. But am so curious about the alpha

I will purchase the nibbler xl when it is available after looking at samuraisam's internal picture. For some reason, I go on w9's site a few days a week to check of any upgrades or restocking (prob because they are my fav for oils).

On the description of the nibbler xl, it was made for the herc s71. Will it work the same for the 74x?

I just pulled the trigger on this one http://www.ebay.com/itm/BEST-DT9205...ter-Ammeter-Capacitance-Tester-/201117873618?

I will use it to check the battery power levels and relate my vaping experience with a known voltage level. My herc sr71 fires more consistently as my dual 18650 level goes down, starting from none at all with full charges. With experimenting, I will be able to be on the go confidently with both my hercs, maybe even run my sr71 confidently on 2x18350? Testing will tell, after the long china delivery..

Triple stack The 8, not a persei.
side note, the 8 is a stupid name or at least spell it "The Eight" so its searchable

It's Omicron Persei 8, not Omicron Persei Eight...
