Speaking of, I'm enjoying my banger style enails just too much haha- damn just too good for crumble compared to my regular, and I got an extra one for free and a carb cap that perfectly seals and can kinda work as a dabber haha, homie BP hooked it up. As soon as I can get my hands on my fc710 there will definitely be some videos otw haha.

MTVIogi.jpg
Where did you get these and for how much if you don't mind me asking. I have a banger that fits my enail, but I'm scared shitless it is going to fall off on time.

i'm confused, what's going on here? what is that extra piece off the bottom of the nail?

The glass hook coming off the bottom is to help support and hold an e-nail coil/cable :D

Holds my coil/ gives me safety in knowing if my coil falls I don't burn down the house.
Edit: I actually got them as a replacement from Ben Priest, his original nail was a little too large diameter wise (I still got around to stretching my coil to fit) and he sent me these as a warranty out of good will, I didn't even buy the original off of him, I bought it from a Dnail worker. So it was much appreciated to not only receive a banger replacement but 2! and a cap! I'm not sure his retail price on them, but he has a policy of if you break it you send it back and he will replace it as long as you tell him how it broke which is nice

Yea I believe that's his IG because his site is http://bhoglass.com/, I never checked his IG though, can't believe he charges that much for one normally, hyped to get 2 and a cap for free now haha, as I said earlier I got the nail combo'd with the PB dabbber for a pretty good price. I see the appeal of the banger dropdowns being their huge airflow compared to regular domeless enails that I've used (and that I don't have to use a dropdown obviously), and the fact you can kinda scoop in your material or take huge dabs because the buckets are massive. all 20mm, in fact I think that's the regular bucket size for bangers the downside being that your enail will or has a pretty big chance of falling off. I really dig these ones though, they pair awesome with my glass and now I have 3 enails for use at my leisure (2 bangers as in pic, one regular), and also being able to use my PB carb cap on the 20mm buckets is nice when i want to also use it as a dabber, then drop the cap he included on top after I clear to not allow waste, really feel set up over here haha. And man when the fc710 arrives will I be a video crazy man haha, I'll post up water tests of dabs alongside other pieces of mine.

Hey guys I have been busy lately and have not had much time to post.

I have been working on getting honey buckets and ms mini style pieces made. They require a quartz swing and Steven factory is not currently equipped to work quartz so they have to order from elsewhere. Apparently the minimum order is 500 pieces so he is trying to see if they would be willing to take a smaller order. I told him that these are very popular products and that if he offers additional swings with his buckets and swings for sale in small lots he could sell all 500 in due time.

Here is an uncropped image of the prototype 2 large peyote pillar. The changes made for this one is the neck is now on top. The mouthpiece diameter has been reduced. It was originally the same as the FC-187 mouthpiece which was too wide. It also now has the restriction above the pillars keep the water from jetting up. The bottom chamber with matrix is also slightly taller.

I know that the pillar section needs to be taller and the top chamber needs to be shorter. Are there any other things to address before production of prototype number 3

With all the neck options out there I think Steven chose one of the least desirable, or am I alone on this?
It just seems out of place, it's like putting a thousand dollar paint job on a million dollar car.
I know neck shape has been discussed before, and to me that's not a deal breaker, but why not put that kind of neck in the top center of the can? If that's the one he is going with.
Overall I think this new prototype looks closer to the real thing with the restriction above the jets.
Good job @blankrider.

I have been messing with paint and this is what I'm proposing for prototype 3.

Hopefully #3 will be the last step before mass production. We have one month until Chinese new year and I would really like to beat that because everything will be coming to a halt for almost a month

I guess I have to ask this here as well

Wait a minute. I am very confused. I'm not looking to stir anything up, I'm just trying to understand. Are you and @EverythingsHazy both working on the same large pillar from the same vendor, or is he (Steven) working on 2 different ones for you guys? It looks like the videos are the same at least...

I'm so confused...

I was wondering the same, but didn't want to stir anything.

I don't want to stir anything up since it seemed to have died down. I am working with Steven on the large pillar along with all the other things I posted. To my knowledge @beastcoast is the only other member working with the Chinese on glass. He is working with a different seller on different designs which is awesome.

I honestly don't know what the member you enquired about is doing @cybrguy . I thought after I made this thread it was obvious that I was working with Steven.

Anyways like I said I'm working on getting a third prototype made. Hopefully when it is ready I can be the first one to post it

OK. I'm just gonna wait for a finished piece and order it or not and stay out of the discussion.

It would seem that most of what is in line for production (large pillar being the exception) are male based joints and smaller pieces just like the general China glass trend. Please don't forget us flower lovers... :)

@cybrguy Besides the diffusion pump I don't think any of the future pieces will be male jointed. I have not forgotten the flower lovers, I am one of them. What did you have in mind?

I would like to get back on topic with the UFO bubbler. For those of you wanting to hook it up to a hose please post about this aspect. Do you want it to just come with a whip adapter like this?
$_12.JPG

Should it also come with a hose and mouthpiece? How long would the hose be? Like a meter and anyone who wants it shorter can trim it? What should the hose be made of?

Edit: I have been thinking about something like this. It is an inverted matrix bubbler.

Yeah you make a lot of good points.

Maybe only the first disk or two would fire, but in order to get all three to fire, I bet you would have to be ripping it pretty hard.

Yeah Chinese frits are a bit questionable to some members.

I would much rather see a normal showerhead with like 10 slits and maybe we should have the bowl joint in the center (instead of on the side like the Dragon hookah) and have that tube split into 2 tubes and have 2 shower heads more in the center of the tank. I think both of those would definitely fire with a normal pull.

There has to be something on DHgate (or somewhere) that we aren't finding. I remember about 3-4 months ago there was an exact knock off of the Lavoo MP5-X on DHgate, but the minimum order quantity was 20. I contacted the seller asking for a sample order of 1 unit, but he wanted like $200 so I declined. Now that piece isn't even listed anymore.
I like the two showerhead idea, and would buy the shit outta that piece. With how little interest there is, though, I think we aughtta just back-burner it for now. We'll see how the UFO plays out, and if there's still interest we can bring it back up. I the meantime, please let me know if you end up getting that dragon hookah, I'm quite interested to hear how it is...

That whip connection looks perfect to me. I also like the idea of a glass mouthpiece for the other end of the hose. Just seems classy... Regarding the material for the hose, regardless of what it comes with I'd probably end up getting some quality, American-made silicone tubing like this (http://smile.amazon.com/dp/B000FOWG...lid=3ATQQIIPH5TKW&coliid=I2I6NXCUMYC6K2&psc=1) to replace it, as I'd just feel more comfortable knowing that it's high grade material. Regardless, I'd say make sure it comes with at least a meter so, as you say, people could cut it to their preferred length.

ylmvrq1.png
Huh. I'm honestly not sure how this would function. The only functional inverted matrix I've seen is the lower perc of the stereo matrix, and I think it's pretty widely agreed that it's a bit over-engineered for the purpose. If you look closely between the two percs you can see the kind of diffusion a single, inveted matrix has, but without the second perc above it to disperse the bubbles I'm not sure how much it would diffuse in the end. I don't think we could really know how it stacked till we saw a function video though.

If you did end up producing a prototype, I would think you'd want a shorter stem above the perc, so that it doesn't constrict the stacking bubbles too much. For that type of design, it honestly might be worth going for a simpler perc.

Incedentally, the only other piece I've seen with something like an inverted matrix is this strange offering from our good buddy steven:

http://www.dhgate.com/store/product/perfect-glass-bubblers-base-water-percolators/202281220.html
2015%20new%20high%20quality%2037cm%20Height%20Glass%20smoking%20bongs%20tree%206%20arms%20perc%20and%20birdcage%20perc%20glass%20smoking%20pipes%20SL15002.jpg

I was actually looking at and wondering about this piece anyway... I'd love to see a function video, and it might give you a little insight into how an inverted matrix would fire. Since you've got the good working relationship with steven at the moment, would you ask him about a function video for this one?

EDIT: Actually, it's super easy to see the function of an inverted matrix... I just blew gently through my d020-D and watched the water bubble up the downstem. I'll bet it wouldn't be too hard to macgyver up something so that you could stick the bowl in the mouthpiece, add a chamber above the dewar with a mouthpiece (perhaps the top half of a plastic bottle) and essentially hit it backwards. Could do the same with the FC-187... That would give you a pretty accurate preview of how your idea would work.

I agree, it just doesn't quite fit the look of the rest of the piece but it's not a deal breaker if it functions fine.

In other news my FC-710 shipped out and the tracking is already active.

Not bent neck?

Maybe I just missed something in the discussions?

@blankrider -

Regarding the hose adapter for the UFO, the one you pictured previously is perfect IMO:

$_12.JPG

As far as a mouth piece goes, as long as it's glass, I would be good with it. Chances are I would replace it anyway with some sort of chillum. I want the mouthpiece to feel heavy in my hand. I've used others that just seemed too light and delicate, having been made with thin glass.

Regarding the tubing, I agree with @Erwin that it needs to be high quality and about a meter in length. I would most likely purchase my tubing in bulk from a USA vendor to ensure higher quality.

I was anticipating the UFO coming with just a glass mouthpiece, so this is a pleasant surprise it'll come with whip parts too. These aren't a huge departure from what's been suggested so far, but would probably be a little easier/less costly to make. I've used simple parts like these with whip vapes in the past and they've worked just fine.

Like everyone else I'd probably just buy tubing separately, but if some were to be included it should be the flexible silicone-type tubing.

+100 on not including silicone tubing. Very doubtful what would be included would be worth having, and why add issues for them (and probable cost for us) if no one is going to use it? Good silicone is relatively cheap and not too easy to clean, so anyone using it will be looking to get some for replacement anyway.

But a mouthpiece for the tubing, like @snackmaster posted above, is always nice to have!

I completely agree that whatever they include wouldn't be worth keeping, but I'd think they're better off including it if they're gonna go through the trouble of offering the hose adapter and mp. Tubing would cost pennies, but I bet they'd sell more being able to offer a piece that can be used two ways right outta the box. Sure FCers won't use the stock stuff, but we're a small piece their market.

I thought I would hear back more from you guys about the hose option for the UFO. I asume most of you agree with @Erwin about getting an American hose. Would anyone like to propose a mouthpiece to attach to the hose?

I'm thinking I am more likely to use a glass GG connected MP than a whip with this piece, but it would be nice to have the option. Including a whip adapter and a MP like @snackmaster would be a nice addition, but don't bother with the whip itself unless it is high quality silicone as it will just get tossed. I AM still liking the idea of having a few MPs available as I would probably try at least 2 if they were reasonable. Several of the designs in the original image on the first page of this thread work for me.
