sry for the short review but i was mad busy today here ya go

I'll do another more in-depth review tomorrow. Shipping was incredibly fast! So far I'm liking it a lot! Pros: Longer battery life than the Firefly, quality and flavor of vapor on par with that of the Solo and Firefly IMO, The filling tool is supper handy for quick refilling, Can be used while its charging! Cons: Temp can only be adjusted using the Crafty phone app, oven size smaller than pax which i felt was on the small side. (I am a long time owner and fan of the Volcano)

S&B got back to me this morning. There is no difference in terms of vapor output between the two models. Question answered :)

As for the specific power draw, the Crafty uses 27 watts and the Mighty uses 30 watts. Both of these figures were quoted as "capacity... when heating up the devices."

Charge time for each vape is approximately 2 hours. The Crafty draws 10 watts during charging, while the Mighty draws 36 watts. Due to the higher draw of the Mighty, it does not have USB because charging "will take too long."

So there we go, a few answers to some key questions.

Got my Crafty on Monday. Haven't tested is as much as I would like to but I will share my initial thoughts and add to them later, if necessary.

Like the size a lot. Fits very easily in my pocket. I don’t drive so this is extremely important for me. I absolutely love the build quality, love the engineering, and love the vape quality. There are lots of small pieces but they all fit together nicely. The device feels sturdy and well built, albeit with a lot of plastic. I find the vapor to be very strong and very clean. Taste is excellent and might even be a bit better than the Volcano.

For me, the size of the oven is perfect. Not too big, not too small but just right. Like it was made for Goldie Lox.

Biggest concern is that I have been only able to get about three chambers per battery charge. For me, this was a disappointment. I was hoping for more. Just like my old iPhone, while it was easy to charge, I didn’t enjoy being forced to do it so often.

The charging cord is short. A little too short for me. Although it is very cool that you can vape while charging if you are partially charged, the cord is too short for this to practically work.

The LED is really bright. So bright that you really can't charge this thing in your bedroom while you sleep. I would dim the LED but I use an iPhone and the iOS app is still under review. When it comes out, the first thing I will do is dim the LED.

The screen at the bottom of the oven seems impossible to clean. I consider this to be a drawback because it will eventually get extremely dirty.

All in all, I love the device. Just wish the battery lasted longer, that the cord was longer, and that the screen under the oven could be cleaned. Will try my best to answer any questions you good people might have. Can’t wait for the iOS app!

Beam me up.

Hi - long time lurker here...

Just got the Crafty today. I'll post a more in depth review when I have used it more. Something like the style of that reddit posting out there...I like to be elaborate.

But, I do have the Android app...and I see there are some thread junkies craving for more info, so here are some hopefully fresh insights:

* Someone mentioned that the Mighty auto off is reset by draws. This is true on the crafty. I'll see how this factors in a crowd situation this weekend. Solo - no prob.

* It fits nicely into my skinny jeans pocket. It is thick, but not that noticeable or uncomfortable in the front pocket. If the pocket/storage space is big enough for your large smartphone, it is more than enough for this.

* It heats up quicker than a volcano...but most probably assumed this. I think it is short enough to support stealth efforts.

* As you draw, I can see on the app that the temperature fluctuates very rapidly; really seems like much effort into keeping a consistent temp with a constant draw rate.

* Drawing on it when off gives the impression of a bit of resistance, a bit more than MFLB. But in use, it seems perfect.

I am not as seasoned as most here. Volcano Digit 6 years, MFLB almost 2 years, Extensive Pax experience. Have not used the plenty yet.

I'll help answer any questions until my review...then back to lurking.

Well got sometime today, to do a quick full breakdown of how battery lasted for me. These are at the factory set temperatures settings.
I did my best try to keep unit as close to default heat as possible. Keeping the light green as much as possible when inhaling.

I averaged 30 mins btw each use....

First use 90 second heat up
5 hits spaced over 5 mins.

2nd use 90 second heat up
5 hits again over 5 mins

3rd use 110 seconds heat up
2 hits
Hit boost 20 second heat up
4 Hits on boost setting
6hits spaced over 5 mins
Cooked Bowl

4th use with a fresh bowl 109 second heat up
5 hits spaced over 5 mins.

5th use 120 seconds heat up
5 hits spaced over 5 mins.

6th use 125 seconds heat up
2 hits
Hit boost 18 seconds heat up
5 hits on boost
7 hits spaced over 5 mins

7th use tried unit flashed blue turned off

Great Scott!
Won't get too into this since its still charging now, but I broke the rules and tried a bowl (half of a full bowl) between me and a friend. We both like it. Super easy to use and super consistent hits. The ABV looked REALLY even.

To me the flavor is EERILY similar to the first hits of a super fresh volcano bag. I hit it and thought "wow this is a volcano in a walkie talkie form, without bags to ruin some of the flavor". Is flavor better than my firefly? Yes and no. The firefly can make better flavor than the half bowl at stock temp that I tried so far, but it can also make worse flavor if you scorch one area. I think the consistency of hits being the same and so precise means better flavor overall honestly.

I don't want to jump the gun. All things I say are subjective to changing!

So far it was great without connecting the app. I'll admit I was in a rush, didn't bother to use the fill tool. Just hand loaded it. I need to really read the manual and figure out the small details. Its charging now. I will say without reading anything it was easy to pick up, pack by hand, and start getting great hits at 180 without using a phone at all. I was surprised by how smooth the hits were at that temp. No harshness at all.

Everyone loves products when they are new. I'm 100% aware that this could be the "honeymoon phase" talking, but so far my initial review feels like I'm going to love this thing. I'm curious what battery life will be like, but with microUSB I can charge it basically anywhere. I'll be getting a microusb battery pack too just to keep in the glovebox or take on hikes...if its even needed that is.

Connecting to the android app was great. One of the more painless BT connections.

I think its pretty telling that someone who didn't read the manual or anything like that was able to pick it up and go to town. No learning curve for great high quality flavorful potent hits. Very happy camper based on that one half bowl. Time will tell if I stay happy.

True no stir vape for me. Tojpeg
y even vaping without any stirring or shaking here.

The 180 and the stock boost mode are excellent temps. Yes I'll tinker, but yes I'd be happy with those 2 without an app for now.

EDIT: OK... some of you may object to the idea that a vape can't produce stronger effects with one vape than any other. As in all vapor is equal. I've disagreed with that for quite a while now, especially since I get equally medicated from 1 bowl in my pax as I do from my firefly. The firefly holds about 1/3 of the weight of the pax. Same bud...

So no fanboy or price bias here either, I found I got a strong high from a volcano, but I'd get the same high from a cloud bowl which is literally 1/4 the weight or less that I'd be using in my volcano. I ended up selling my volcano. Awesome vape, but not at all right for me, fair enough right?

So with all that said I think the crafty brings us closer than before (IME anywhay) to "portable desktop" aka the holy grail. I can see this being used for a desktop and portable, if battery life allows (or the mighty more ideally in that case). Its really that much more potent. I know I'll have an outcry of people saying I just don't know how to use my vapes etc and that the MFLB can get you just as high as the herbalizer etc etc. I respectfully disagree. I definitely notice a variance between devices. I won't claim to know why it is, but it is real for me. This crafty is the "strongest" portable I've used yet. The battery life I'm not sure, I keep charging it in between. I did let it get fully charged after my first test bowl but didn't time it.

I really need to kill it to be accurate with battery. There WILL be huge variances with this vape. Due to it keeping temp really stable, you can kill a bowl as fast as you want. I'll race the clock eventually. Doing this will allow serious increase in bowls because whenever it is on the heater is maintaining set temp. If you vape 3 bowls in 10 minutes or 1 bowl in 10 minutes, its the same battery usage. Unlike most vapes its up to the user how much they want to rush or just sit back. It'll probably change my habits and make my sessions faster. Not sure if that is better or worse. I don't even want to comment on battery life since its far from calibrated on my unit so far. It needs to "adjust" or something like new batteries sometimes do. I was looking at it charge live via the android app and it was only on 2/6 after "a while", and I thought "DAMN THIS IS SLOW" but then shortly after it jumped from half full, to fully charged. I unplugged it and plugged it back in to confirm, yep fully charged. So I need to kill it and charge it to 100%. Then I'll see how many bowls I get with my particular usage speed.

Very happy with it so far.

Can anyone comment on how smelly it is while it's heating up ?

For example, I find both the Solo and more so the Pax are both very smelly when they're warming up.

Less smelly than both of those I feel, but still noticeable. When cold it may smell more than most vapes cold, or I may be smelling the actual bud in it. Its hard to say but I'll keep trying to see how much I can smell it.

I just tried it at 160. Taste city. I also tried it at 200c.... WAY too hot for me haha. I suck with temps. I really have no concept of what temps I vape at since all my other vapes have analog heating systems. Never had digital since my POS vapir 5.0 that rightfully was thrown in the trash. I need to learn what I like but 200c is too hot for me.

I'm finding that its almost like they picked 180c and 195c on purpose ;) So far the stock temps are the best for me. Maybe I'll do 160 as the base temp and 195 as the boost and get a little of both. Time will tell.

BTW its easy to overmedicate with this vape. I dab (small) daily. 3 bowls in like an hour has me really out of commission, which hasn't been happening lately from herb. This thing will make taking a break from oil EASY and even enjoyable. Was able to hit that last bowl while walking 2 dogs at once. Very 1 hand friendly. Did I mention no stirring yet...I really like that.

I'm getting ready for a flight right now but wanted to chime in briefly because I used my Crafty for the first time last time, so some things I want to note:

- I can't get it to work with my MBP using an Android emulator. It won't connect. If anyone else can get this working, please share how.
- The little "Crafty" logo on the top of the unit is a lock for the cooling unit. I'm not sure I've seen this mentioned yet. Just slide the logo when the cooling unit is in place and it locks it on there. A simple but useful feature.
- This thing hits BIG. I was exhaling some shockingly big rips, nothing like I've gotten from any of the previous portables I've tried.
- The battery lasts pretty well. I got around 25 hits. That includes about 8 heat ups because I was only taking a couple hits at a time and then powering it down. Pretty solid - enough time to keep me incredibly medicated over the span of a 4 hour concert :D
- The Crafty hits, to me, more like a desktop than a portable. I'm not saying this can necessarily replace your EVO or Herbalizer, but it's the closest I've seen a portable get by far.
- The bowl roasts perfectly evenly. No stirring required. Very impressive ABV.
- I found the stock boost temp to be perfect. Cool enough that it didn't irritate the throat, hot enough that it extracted pretty much everything I wanted. The low temp was a bit too low for me, but I typically vape at higher temps.
- The vibrate function is the key to stealth! It vibrates when it powers on, it vibrates again when it reaches temp, it vibrates again when you press the button for turbo, and again when it reaches that temp. It doesn't have to come out of your pocket until it's completely ready. I originally thought I'd want to deactivate the vibrate function to help save battery, but it's kind of indispensable.

I don't really have any negatives to add yet, other than the fact that the app isn't available on iOS at this time so I can't mess with the settings. But as far as functionality goes, this was definitely worth the money to me.

Just enjoyed my first bowl with the Crafty.

HOLY SHIT, THIS THING IS AMAZING!

I've only vaped one bowl, so obviously can't comment on battery life or things like that. What I can say though is that I LOVED that first bowl.

Heat up was quick, didn't time it, but I'd guess maybe 2 mins? Loaded a full bowl of some freshly shredded Oregon Pineapple and took my first draw.

Instant, flavorful vapor. Absolutely no learning curve, you literally just draw and you get tasty vapor.

The draw resistance is very minimal too, less then my EVO through my recycler.

I took maybe 6-8 draws at the stock temp before finishing the bowl on the booster temp. All throughout the clouds were as large as I wanted them to be. Even at the end, there was no popcorn taste at all.

The vapor production looked comparable to what I've seen users of the Mighty post.

The cooling top really does am amazing job too. The vapor never felt too hot.

I dumped the AVB to look at it, and it was an even, medium brown. Very comparable to what my EVO produces. I did not stir the bowl once.

The Crafty connected to my phone without issue.

I just got the Crafty, but I can tell it's going to be a game changer for me. It truly is a small, portable, flower vape that doesn't make me miss my EVO. I have a preheated EVO sitting next to me, and I don't even feel the need to load it right now. Not saying the Crafty will replace my EVO, but my search for a portable flower vape is over. It is expensive, but it provides exactly what I've been wanting for a LONG time. For myself, there is no question that this purchase was worth it.

From my initial use, I will definitely recommend the Crafty to friends and family. In fact, I now know what my mom is getting for Christmas ;)

<wave of hand> You're gonna love it.

The man doesn't lie. So far, I'm blown away by the quantity and quality of vapor. This thing hits comparably to the Plenty, which I suppose just barely beats the Crafty in terms of output. However, the Crafty does a much better job of killing a bowl. One of my complaints about the Plenty was that the bowl was so large that it took forever to kill it - sometimes over an hour. You could pause the session and come back to it, but the flavor would be gone. The Crafty bowl, on the other hand, is small enough that you don't need to use the liquid pad every time for personal bowls.

Having now used this and the Plenty, I can say with some confidence that their plastics and metals are as good as glass as far as taste goes. You really can't taste the plastic one bit.

I was ambivalent about the liquid pad for the Plenty: while I felt it was an ingenious solution to getting the best of both worlds, both in terms of herb/oil and big bowl/small bowl, it got dirty pretty quickly and was a pain to dry once cleaned. It also had a tendency to deform over time. I think for the Crafty, I am going to reserve the liquid pad for concentrates, though I don't see why it wouldn't work just as well as it did in the Plenty.

Preliminary testing also confirms my initial suspicions: this vape is a mini, portable version of the Plenty. S&B definitely took note of the issue of exposed hot metal parts on the Plenty and created the filling tool (which is phenomenal, having gone through the comparatively tedious process of stacking a Plenty bowl), but aside from that and substituting the cooling chamber for the cooling coil, it follows the same basic design principles as the Plenty, and to a lesser extent, the Volcano.

I will update later once I borrow my friend's droid, but out of the box the temperature settings are great. I also understand the concerns over how bright the LED light is, but I honestly thought it would be worse. They have put a kind of matte finish on the LED enclosure so while it's bright, you never feel like you just looked into the sun, as can be the case with other super strong LEDs. I am probably going to tone it down a lot though, because blue is second only to white in terms of power consumption. I am still stumped as to why they went with blue and white (on the Mighty) LEDs, when the Volcano and Plenty use red and orange LEDs respectively.

These are some scattered initial thoughts. If anyone has any questions, that would probably allow me to give more useful information instead of this stream of consciousness rabble.

Inverted: Just confirmed, you can use this in any orientation. If you're going to use it upside down, you might want to use the finer screen on top, but even if you don't, all that will happen is that the cooling chamber will need to be cleaned more often.

This is definitely the best portable vape that I have ever tried. I can definitely see how it is not for everyone, but it fits my purposes to a T. The main thing that sets it apart (and I think for all S&B products) is that the vape quality is just spectacular. You truly have to experience it yourself to get a sense for how good it is.

And Nick, I had no idea bluetooth USB dongles were that cheap. I might end up getting one down the road depending on how long it takes for the app to be released. I just know so many people with droid phones.

Just got my Crafty! It's charging now, but first impressions are that it is lighter than I thought it would be. It definitely has a good grip in the hand. I haven't had any problems so far with the app connecting it with my Android smartphone (OnePlus One), but I have the issue where my booster temperature has to be a minimum of 32F. Choosing my settings (increasing basic and boost temperature, lowering LED brightness) worked fine.

Edit: I just wanted to point out that 1 Plenty liquid pad equals about 4-5 Crafty liquid pads. It's that much smaller! The main problem with the Plenty was that it went through a lot of herb so this looks promising. It also uses a 2A charger which is the same as my phone.

My first impressions:

I have owned MFLB, Vapor Genie, Iolite, Pax, Firefly, and now the Crafty and hands down the Crafty is the best portable I have ever used by far. The Pax and Firefly are in second place but way behind the Crafty. Storz & Bickel have thought of the entire experience of ownership and have crafted a solution for each problem.

The first amazing thing about the Crafty is the draw resistance. No longer do I feel like I am sucking out of a really thin straw. I can inhale with ease and this is so important for me. With the Pax and Firefly I have to use quite a bit of effort to take a draw, there is just so much draw restriction. It must be hard to make a product like this with very little draw resistance because no other portable have I tried has come close to how well the Crafty performed in this area.

Second is ease of filling and unloading the herb chamber. The filling tool they designed is so handy. You don't have to touch the herbs yourself when filling and it also stores your herb too.

Unloading is very easy, just pour out the herbs, and the chamber looks brand new. The chamber is wide and open and makes it really easy to brush of loose particles. From the looks of it, I feel like the chamber will stay really clean without much maintenance, similar to the filling chamber in the volcano. But time will tell.

Another big plus is the fact that no stirring is required. What a pain it was opening up the Firefly or Pax and trying to stir it. And you really needed to because the Firefly or Pax did not vape the herbs evenly. But the Crafty does, without any stirring it vapes the herbs evenly.

The default starting temperature is perfect for me. It roasts the erb to a nice dark brown color and gives you tons of huge hits. It rather amazing. It is much more efficient with smaller amounts of material than the volcano because of the size of the chamber.

Storz & Bickel did it again, they held to their own standards and waited until they got it right. And they did get it right. I wonder how long ago they started development on these?

Just tried Crafty for the first time and I am medicated. This little thing gets you ripped . . . :D But seriously, what an amazing product, everything reeks of quality, quality, quality. The filling aid turns out to be really cool, I love it, kinda like a small attachable funnel. The cooling unit works amazingly well, the vapor is tasty and smooth. Not a ginormous amount of visible vapor at 356*F but very tasty indeed and quite medicating. I should mention that my meds are really dry and almost a year old. The app works perfectly on my Samsung Galaxy S4. Anyways I'm not going to repeat what everyone is saying but so far I am very pleased . . .

I think we should all send @Mr. Gweilo 420 some positive energy since he is still waiting for his Crafty.

More l8tr . . . :peace:

Quick update on battery life: I got about five full bowls on my last charge before it quit. I tend to take hits from bowls even after they're done without realizing it, so I could easily see getting six bowls. Battery life is about what I expected: nothing phenomenal, but definitely more than enough. I also plan on getting a USB battery pack to make the whole thing a nonissue.

One issue I am having is turning out to be a bigger deal than originally anticipated. I knew that the Crafty would need a partial charge before you can use it while charging. I didn't realize, however, how long it would take to get to that point from zero. I didn't time it specifically, but it was about 20 minutes or so after plugging in before I could use it again. This basically just means I have to pay more attention to the battery gauge, as I was straight up ignoring it yesterday.

Ultimately, I didn't buy this for very long battery life, and I plan on mostly using the Crafty while plugged in. Still, this is definitely something worth flagging: I would not recommend this for a heavy user who wants to go the whole day without charging without an external battery pack. Thankfully, external batteries are cheap and easy to come by, and the ubiquity of USB chargers nowadays mitigates this concern.

A really cool feature would be the ability to turn the Crafty on and off via the app. That way it could be preheated and ready to hit before I even have to touch the unit.

Or is this a feature and I just haven't figured it out?

After a few more bowls, I can say for sure that the Crafty is a HEAVY HITTER! I have to be careful with it, can take me past where I want to go if I'm not careful ;). That said, you can definitely sip on it if you so desire. But if you're looking for something that can deliver some massive, flavorful hits, all with NO learning curve, the Crafty will more then satisfy you.

Ok .. so 6 bowls in ... and reliably (at varying temperatures starting from 183 to 190) ... pretty much drain the full load (~.15) in 1.5 hits and the vapor that I exhale is massive .... this basically hits exactly the same as my EVO as far as volume so far and I can cache a .15g bowl in 1.5 hits ... wow! this has really been what I've been after from a portable ...!

I'm only <2 hours in so I can't say for sure ... give me a few days ... but so far I can't remember being this impressed since I first enjoyed a Cloud!!!!

I've been on the constant hunt for a big hitting portable leading me to buy tons of vapes ... but this might finally be what I was looking for!!!

So one thing about my Crafty that has been bothering me was the apparent disconnect between the website and what I was told from tech support regarding the lower screen in the filling chamber. The website clearly shows these finer screens for sale and clearly refers to them as filling chamber screens. Also while looking into the filling chamber I could see a counter bore that looked like it held the screen in place. So I went for it and pulled it out. It came out EASILY, just like I thought it would, so now we can clean it, replace it, and clean under it . . . :) There is also a thingy in the center of the bottom that keeps the middle of the screen up and makes it easier to reset. Its hard to photograph . . .

Have found a nice trick:
I thought you had to turn on the Crafty (that means it starts heating up) or charge it to connect it to your phone and change settings.
You don't, a quick press on the POWER button will somehow turn on the Bluetooth, so you can connect and change settings without turning it on and having it heat up, possibly wasting battery.

Not sure if it was mentioned previously, haven't found it in the manual.

Great news @t-dub. Getting under the screen to clean is important. Would you mind sharing how you pulled it out? Support suggested using a needle or a pin but I haven't tried it yet.
I used a Skilletools Sharpy to hook/pull it out from the edge. I am so glad I found this. Cleaning under the screen was really important to me. Now I feel good about trying liquid pad/shatter experiments :)

Well Hello there i stumbled uppon this forum a few Weeks ago since i was interested into getting the B&S
Crafty. I used the Magic Flight Launchbox quite some time now and was actually rly happy with it its easy stealthy and quick in heating up for usage. And just yesterday after reading allot about the Crafty again i decided to give it a try and ordered it with express shipment.

and today i got it !! (okay i do live in Germany only 200+ km away from the town where they produce it)
and after the first test i said to my self this mashine is so FUCKING AMAZING !!! i have to share it with you guys and just made a Forum Account to tell you how FUCKING AMAZING this piece of german engineering
actually is !!!

with the magic flight i always had the feel from time to time it wasn perfectly efficient since some Herbs did not look properly vaped in looks of color it was more burnt sometimes and not often the realy nice brown you want.

with the S&B i can tell from the first draw allready it produces a massive amount of Vapor. i would say it gives you from one complete draw the same ammount of vape you got from an entire filling in the magic flight. And you could clearly tell its so mutch more efficient !!!

the Buzz of the Herbs is way stronger and you get the desired effect rly nicely and thats actually the thing i was looking for getting the most out of a herb on the go without any combustion.

Stealthwhise i would say its obviously bigger than the launch box but only if you dont use the glass tube on the launch box. and since its black and you can turn of the blinking light via the rly well done app you are quite stealthy with not to big hands ;)

now for the build quality of the unit !! OMG you can instantly tell this thing is no cheap china shit like the rest of the Vapes out there ( i do need to mention i have an PAX aswell but the launchbox was outperforming it so i just lays in the closet now ) its build quality is by far superior to the PAX !!!!
and the downside of the PAX needing rly often cleanings if used daily was rly annoying !!

regarding Batterylife i cant tell mutch so far just taking the 2. Hit now.
but i will post about the usage today it will get some heavy testing by me and 2 other freinds aswell today so iam quite shure we will empty the battery!! ;)

Final Conclusion:
iam actually mad at my self that i wasted money on the PAX and Launchbox because B&S did not have an mobile option.

Just save the money and dont by the others okay its expensive yes but in my eyes worth every penny!!!

and i should not iam not an B&S Fanboy ;) but i just became one

Cheers Mesk0ne

meskone,
What's up everyone? Decided to buy a Crafty so wanted to share my first few days of experience. I was given an Ascent as a gift the day I bought the Crafty, so I'll compare the 2 if you're looking at buying either.

The Crafty is much lighter than I expected. Not in a cheap way at all, just lightweight, but sturdy. S&B did a really good job with it. Little features like a blinking charging light to tell you how much charge you have to go by the speed of the blinking light. For example, a slow blink if its 60% +, a rapid one if its below and steady light when its charged. It reminds me of the Plenty's little brother in a lot of ways. The Ascent feels a little heavier and just nice in your hand. No other way to put it. Very sleek and cell phone esque, screams quality. Holding the two you would think the Ascent is the more expensive vape on looks and feel alone. My Ascent had no off gas issues, seems very well built, glass straw is nice and snug. Ascent does take longer to charge but holds a charge for longer.

Vapor quality is fantastic in the Crafty. Really flavorful and satisfying. Heats up very quickly and rivals many lower to mid level desktop vapes I've tried. i was surprised at how cool the vapor was from the Crafty. Crazy to think about , but its that good. Ascent is very good vapor quality but a step below the Crafty IMO. It does have a nice clean taste with the glass airpath and also very satisfying. Didn't seem as cool as the Crafty but not a huge difference on temperature or smoothness. I picked up some cheap glass daisy screens and was getting great hits out of the Ascent with little material. I'm impressed with both, but the Crafty vapor is phenomenal and surprising.

The APP is well done and works great. I got it to sync 1st time and without trouble. A nice touch is that in the APPs options you can set the Crafty so that you can have your phone vibrate rather than the vape to tell you when its heated up and ready. This way you can conserve the Crafty battery and its not buzzing all the time . This is where the Ascent has its perks. You adjust everything right on the screen which is great if you dont want to control things with your phone. Both respond quick and heat up very fast.

Its only been a few days but I really like both vapes. Neither is going to uncrown my EVO or Plenty for home use, but on the go or when I want a quick session, both great choices. Similar in size, both very discreet. The vapor quality is a bit better with the S&B, but if that warrants an extra $150 - $ 200 dollars is up to you. I think where the Crafty lacks the Ascent excels (on board control and screen, glass path, price) and where the Ascent lacks the Crafty excels (vapor quality, fast charge up time, no need for glass screens on small amounts) I will say that I do like to use the liquid pads when vaping a small amount out of the Crafty and much like my Plenty it hits great with them in but a little better with them out.

I probably missed quite a few things so my apologies. Just excited and wanted to share my thoughts.
Happy vaping!

Fresh off my first experience with the Crafty. I can finally say, I've found a suitable replacement for the solo, tho my love and use of the solo has not ended. The crafty is super efficient, almost too efficient. I enjoy sitting back and taking hit after hit while hanging with the wife, I feel like I was done before I ever really got started. Not a complaint, just pertains to my usage and a testament to how well it extracts. I filled the chamber completely, set temp to 380f, boosted temp too 395f,didn't get much more Vapor , me and wife finished in about 10min, didn't really keep time, it was way faster then the usual two cycles with the Solo. Great clouds, easy on the lungs/smooth, none of that nasty taste that happens with the Solo. Super easy to draw. I don't like the bit of Vapor leakage, but it's not so bad that it's a deal breaker. I packed a tiny amount in after the initial bowl, and it gave the expected amount of Vapor, yes it will extract, but in my opinion, this vape wants to be filled. Overall, this is a easy purchase, if the mighty preforms better.... Holy shit, is all I could say to that
