I feel you there my friend!
I would not go with using existing solvent based extractions just because there is a higher chance that poor solvent based extractions have lost parts of the terp profile (of course, this is in the case of crude extraction methods, if you can get great BHO cheaply enough and just dewax it, do it!) that I'd rather have if possible! As such, I'd be going for nugs to run. There is no substitute for retaining as many of the original actives as possible IMO

Yeah, I'm thinking I will do this oz of nugs and also winterize the bho. It looks great, its pull and tear. However, I don't know what the starting material was...just some outdoor white widow. I might grab a couple grams and do a small run. I do feel like my terps are lost in decanting and decarbing my medible tincture when its baked at 220

Does anyone else get a little sad when decarbing or running some nugs for oil? I love the end results on nug runs but am always sad to say good bye to their natural glory.

Every time I see bubble like that I think UGH GROSS...until I realize its bubble. Looks delicious and amazing now haha.
I'm planning on blasting some shake for a friend tonight. Using my dual solvent method. I'll weigh before and after. I never end up doing that for some reason, but I won't be rushing tonight. I have only used buds and ABV myself so far, so this should be interesting. If it comes out well I'm going to be on the lookout for some shake!

Well its his shake, and hes giving me half the yield for free. That's a chance I'm willing to take for butane and my time. Granted I get 1-2 grams at a time total, I consider them hobbyist blasts. All personal, all with a LOT of time and effort for minimal return. Cheaper to buy good oil, but I consider my oil above average. I find it hilarious that with my open blast and dual solvent, I get oil that I prefer to friends who have closed loop setups and actual vac ovens. I don't even have a vac (hence dual solvent) but I prefer mine in smoothness, flavor, and even visually some of the time. Definitely in stability as well. I can't squeeze chunks of my shatter in my hands and flatten it into a mini slab. I can do that with all BHO I've ever had, but with the dual solvent it stays like glass. It'll crumble into a dust rather than goop up.
Dual solvent has me so impressed with the results with such a simple method, that if someone gifted me a vac oven today I'd still use both solvents and then throw it in the vac anyway.

It would appear my definition of stash is a tad different than a lot of this thread, so here goes.
Current stock, Blueberry pull & snap the large Oil slick I filled and am letting it rest to fit more in shortly and max it out:

The split-up of previous stock, Blue Dream Shatter full small oil slick and a chunk for the day placed on top:
The thing which I would ACTUALLY call the dab stash(crumbles in the oil slicks.) Some people have a wine cellar I have a dab vault, packet size varies but most of them are a half a gram to one:
It doubles as a seed bank:
Bonus Stash of cold water bubble and RSO:
All pictures taken today.

Awesome flavor to it, after only that one tiny dab I noticed it has a distinctly caramel-ey taste to it, in addition to the regular thc bomb flavor profile I've come to know.
I've decided I'm calling this quality level "wizards nectar"
It's just magical

If you can readily buy anything a dispensary sells - get yourself some cheap kief and do a LWET extraction
Just curious how long your wash is? I tried some kief a bit ago and did a 5 minute wash on the first run and it was awesome. I did the same on the second and got green liquid. I've heard that it can soak until it's dissolved, but I was afraid to let it go that long. So how long and how many washes? I'm about to do a run next week on 4g.

I just purge in Pyrex over 180 degree water. I am not overly concerned about purging 100% at this stage as I will further purgebthe oil right before I add liquid coconut oil to turn it into a tincture. I use everclear 195 as solvent. Unbleached premium coffee filters were used to filter. The first wash yielded 3.3 grams from an ounce. The 2nd wash will probably give me another couple grams.
