The Mighty/Mighty+ by Storz & Bickel

Smell my cheese
Just an update on my mates battery issue.

s&b responded and said that his battery was not charging fully because his Mighty required a re calibration.

They have asked him to send it in and promised a one week turnaround.

Same here, my Mighty won't work if the battery is completely flat and it's charging. I'm having a bit of a panic attack at the thought of being without it for a week. Time to dust off the Plenty.....

My Mighty dies within seconds of the battery display showing 2 bars and also does not heat up when plugged in, unless it is partially charged. Got the same email from S&B and have just sent it off for a recalibration.

I will wait to hear what the recalibrated unit acts like before I part with mine.

I experienced the fast 2-0 a week or so ago but I still get 6 great performing bowls before I get much into 3 bars when all starts to slow down. So performance wise mine is fine, it's just the battery indicator that is not truthful and I can work with that for now.

Yes, I noticed the battery charge indicator (bars) is not "keeping up" with the current state The Mighty is in, but pretty close.
My bars stay full for 2 full bowls.
Then 6-5 as soon as I start heating the third bowl.
Then after third bowl , down to 4 bars.
Fourth and fifth bowl eat 2 bars.
Then I can get 2 more sessions but usually only have one then plug in.

I mailed s& b right after I got it in November and Nicole (seems the only person who responds to mails) said it should not affect the functionality so its not a problem.

Mine does heat plugged in at zero bars, thank God.

I don't want to have to use my backup extreme q , seems unclean now compared to the mighty. Haha

It's mostly the failure to heat up when plugged in that resulted in my sending the unit in for recalibration, the accuracy of the charge indicator is not a big deal for me.

Has anyone managed to put their Mighty up to 211℃? It actually stayed at 211.

Hi Mario, mine jumped there , but only for a sec.

Is yours "factory" or did you have it recalibrated by s&b

Dose anyone know what happens to material that makes it through the screen into the holes at the bottom of chamber? My friend has been using hash and he's sure some stuff has unfortunately gotten through.

Hi Mario...I don't have a direct answer but I tried putting the liquid pad on the bottom, a layer of kief on top of that and a fine screen on top of the kief. It worked splendidly (although I was already medicated enough to try the experiment so who knows?). Everything looked clean as a whistle after the session and the hits were divine.

It's factory. Have a serial number very close to 5000 but below 5000, I wonder if they produce in batches. The only problem I've had is that it seems to hover close to the desired tempt and vibrate.

Lol nice, though is the orange temp the temp in the chamber or the temp you set it to? I have a feeling it might the opposite of what mine did.
Orange is the temp in the chamber (supposedly). The white temp is my set temp. I had it on "boost" mode obviously, so my real set temp was 210.

It's normal for the unit to overshoot the set temp as it's almost impossible for it to "stop on a dime".

So my initial impression of the mighty was that it was a good portable, nothing special. So recently I have been hitting concentrates on my omicron lite or flowers with the minivap. I decided to fully charge the mighty and start at a higher temp. I didn't expect to be medicated because my high use of concentrates. I started at 385. After 5 more hits, finishing at 410 with some impressive clouds. And then it hit me like a Mack truck.

Haven't felt this good of a high in a long time. Could it be that it was because I filled the bowl but didn't tamp down to hard (I usually try to jam as much as I can)? Was it because I started at a higher temp? Was it because I have been using concentrates and not flowers in a few days? Was it because I fully charged the battery? I think it was the combination of it all, but think the main reason was starting at higher temps. It's not the quality or dryness of bud because I have been vaping the same og kush as usual.

The power of the mighty was released and it knocked me silly

Question for anyone...

When I first plugged my Mighty in, I was pretty sure I saw "The Mighty" (something like that) logo light up on the lcd screen on the top, but haven't noticed it since. I'm trying to figure this out...Does it actually have a logo on screen when first plugged in or was it just some really good shit, lol.

Just plugged it in now and saw all kinds of numbers but it flashed so fast I couldn't get a good look. Hope it wasn't error codes, but it seems to be charging.

Did those numbers speak to you? or did they just flash you?

The Mighty does like to flash what it can do when first plugged in, I would not read into this much. Hell I like to flash my wife but it isn't like it means anything with the amount of fucking kids we have running around.

Hi mixchu, I believe its the high temps and type of material being used, also how dry and cosistency of material IMO.

I find I get my hardest hitting/most dense results by:

-having my herb near dry
- grinding well
-fill bowl to top of "rubber grey rim"
-then tamp load down til its just below where the stainless steel of bowl starts
-now starting temp can vary, but I start around 195 or 198 then go up one degree after each pull til 210

*one final variable, I have gone back and forth with this. I find that if I tamp the load down with a portion (1/3) of an oil pad ( I have cleanly pulled them into thirds ) so the partial oil pad is flush with the very top of the bowl=Atomic hit.

All the best bros

So I found a consistent way to turn my Mighty up to 11

Turn unit on > Change temp from ℉ to ℃ if you're an American > Put temp up to 210℃ > Change temp to ℉ > Lower temp from 410℉ to 409℉ > Change back to ℃ > Press temp up button once. Your mighty should now be set to 11!

In all seriousness I don't know if the unit actually attempts to get to 211, if it's simply a bug or if've I unlocked storz & bickel's super ultra mode.

a bit more fiddling with the buttons and we maybe find a hidden service menu or something.....

I just had a "Eureka" moment. The Mighty could use a stand. What if a person just got a small "L", and attached it to a piece of wood? Assuming the "L" would fit the space for the orange tool. Or bend your own piece of metal.

achievement unlocked!

sounds like the Konami code for vapes ;)

is that just beyond the rated max? (210 Celsius)
if so, I'd feel kinda wary of cranking it too hard. then again, maybe the Mighty is capable of even higher, but it's just rough on the battery / unit lifespan.

maybe you got the best of the batch? I'm thinking along the lines of what happens with computer processors. It'll be the same chip, but the stress tested / higher performance ones cost more, and the other ones are sold at a lower price point. (doesn't really apply to S&B's product line / market segment, but food for thought anyhow.)

This thing looks so slick, maybe someday....

I love variety but sometimes I wish I just had waited a month or two for my fun money to save up and dropped the $ on the Mighty. Now I have no real need for it, but damn does it look cool.
