Medtainer, a great grinder/stash container

Gentle Friends,

I just found out our friends at Planet Vape carry the Medatiner:
https://www.planetvape.ca/medtainer.html

If you've never looked into this, you really should take a few minutes to do so. IMO it solves a lot of problems in a small, well made package.

It's a smell (and moisture) proof storage container with a 'false bottom' that's a built in grinder. It too is smell proof. And very easy to use. It's the shredder (as opposed to chopper) type, like the S&B. Meaning it handles a wide range of bud (from dank to bone dry) even the odd twig with only a couple of twists. It grinds if fine without needing a lot of hand strength. You can dispense straight from the grinder and leave the rest of that batch sealed below after the session.

Don't let the plastic part scare you, it's truly tough stuff. Not all all brittle, I've had mine close to two years and it's still going strong as new.

Anyway, check it out and the next time you're ordering good stuff from PV (and you should be on a regular basis, they're a long time strong supporter of these forums offering excellent prices and very fast shipping (free for larger buys, cheap for small ones) consider adding one. IMO you won't regret it.

And they work with any vape!

Regards,

I've been thinking about getting one of these. Puffitup has them too, which is why I started thinking about getting one of these. thanks OF

Outstanding! Much as I like PV, I like giving Randy at PIU some of my business when I can...basically for the same reasons as PV.

I guess I need to pay more attention to vape related details. Usually by the time I get to the page I'm on a quest for a specific product or information.....then again, that's what Forum Buds are for, right?

Thanks for the tip, good to know.

Love me some Medtainer. I find it works amazing with the Solo on the go. You can pre grind a small amount and keep it in the bottom chamber. Stick in the Solo stem and vaccum up some material. I reccomend MedTainers to all my friends.

Gotta collect em all!

Looks very interesting, especially at that price point. Damn, just bought the 3 piece SCS but there is never a problem buying some backups (or maybe they will be my first choice). But the SCS 3 piece kicks ass, so smooth.

This jogged my memory, thanks. I've had a few conventional grinders, most of which gum up so badly they get hard to turn empty. And tough to keep clean and running. My Mendo Mulcher finally won out but I seldom use it, this guy is faster/easier to grind a bud or two.

Here's the fun part: I've put a lot of bud through this, way more than the metal ones between cleanings, and it's humming along without significant fouling. I'm wondering if the plastic is enough 'non stick' to the resins that they stick onto the next bit of bud along and get pulled free?

The point is not only is it not frail and likely to wear out quickly, but it seems to need less maintenance than my alternative grinders (except the coffee grinder, of course). Well thought out I think.

I love the medtainer! It's crappy with moist herbs but fantastic with dry, I love the overall design and portability/smell-containment. I've had mine for a year or two, haven't put it under heavy use but I noticed what appear to be wear and tear in the plastic itself, especially the little thing parts where the lid interlocks with the base. It won't replace any of my daily grinders but it's a fantastic one to take on the go!

I say HELL YES to the medtainer bandwagon here. I work in a head shop and this was one of the handiest little tools we started carrying last year. I freaking love these guys.

As an avid kayaker/mtn biker, I've always needed something portable, durable, and life proof for my smokes on the go. Medtainers gotcha covered. Like these guys have already stated above, they're waterproof and smell proof, and you can get them in clear colors to see what you're grinding, or in solid colors to keep prying eyes out.

Since they're airtight, I've even had one save my herbs when I accidentally dropped it out of my kayak console, and it floated. I was quick, though, so I wouldn't go tossing yours around like a dummy, but...yeah, these things are crazy handy.

Not into plastic grinders, either, but I've had one for about six months and it's teeth are still holding up.

Medtainer are like the Otterbox for your buds. Straight up. Getchoo one.

I've been using it for a few time and i have to say that it works well. It's safe, odour proof, it keeps a good amount of herb and the grinder is nice. I like the black because it protects the herbs from the light too, keeping it away from degradation.

The plastic is hard and resistant, and it can be carryed in a pocket without any problem.

You need it :p

I have been thinking of getting one for awhile but no smoke shops carry them where I live. Anybody know where to get them online exactly?

I got given one in a despensary. Not mad about it but its a reasonable solution to the problem.

Also, medtainers are great for storing a couple of pre rolls too.

I LOVE my Medtainer!!! This is definitely the best way for me to grind and store on-the-go! So awesome that it's air and water tight, and the ability to grind then store and pour is awesome. The grind is pretty decent too, nice shred, but some pieces don't get completely ground up, but it's not a big deal for me.

Medtainers are so underrated! I'll be picking up a few more soon. LOVE THEM!

After having a med tainer for a few months I've come to like them less and less. It seems all the crystals stick to the sides of both the grinder and the storage prt and the things get clogged up super easily. Mines also lost one of the latches now.

A good cheap solution they are, perfect they are not.

(Sorry to contradict peoples positive experiences but its all about gathering knowledge and opinions eh?)

I've been using it today and noticed there is alot of stuff gunked and sticking. The grind is pretty coarse as well, for the small 1/4g buds i've thrown in there. Still, i'll use it if in a pinch, and definitely my go to for outside the house! With that and my S&B filling container i'm all set with my Mighty for portability! Probably won't use this much at home. Still an awesome product especially for the price!

I also think it's cool that it can grind coffee beans! Not that I drink coffee anymore...:bang:
