Discontinued Indica Vaporizer

I love my Indica. I consistently get two and three sessions per load. It is a cloud pleaser, easy to use and easy to carry.

If I had a complaint, it is the metallic taste at lower temps. It is VERY livable, but I would love to get rid of it. Suggestions? New mouth piece. I did drill mine.....

And if I were worthy to give MIKE a suggestion or two, which I am not, why not make the "ready to dra" flash a vibration and what if instead of pressing the illuminated button the unit cycled when you pressed the silver lever that secures the lid when you close it?

This is a great Vape. I have four or five others and I keep coming to this one more than the others.mif you are on the fence, get off it.

My two cents. And, thanks, Mike and crew. You are making this a Happy New Year.

I think the SAME, but just i have one of those fail units ! I just hope to finish the history with a nice unit with no problems! Cause i really think this vape worthwhile!

Aside from the insulation tape thing, the bigger issue was there being a gap between the edge of the oven and the silicone gasket seal, which allowed shared airflow with electronics/insulation and affected the taste. I had experienced many fumers and stinkers as i tested several versions while noirs were being developed.

Quality control has greatly improved since then and all the noirs have been fairly consistent, but I find mine can vary on flavors depending on the specific load actually. There can also be small resin left even after a cleaning that can "fume" I think too, but its certainly possible that there are still some defective units out there (not even including the not heating issue).

Like others have said, and I say it again too, when its perfect its incredible, a fantastically designed portable with great efficiency and temps. Ofcourse its not perfect as few are, and as such Mike is hard at work on the next generation with all of our extensive feedback as a guide. Keep up the great work Indica!

Stay charged, my friends
My Noir was recently purchased from Puff it Up. I'm pretty sure my unit is one of these fumers, even though I haven't yet seen the actual fumes but I do taste some kind of chemical like flavour even after many loads. My hope at this point is to get at least a great price on the next generation unit once all the issues and quality controls are worked out. I wanted indica to be my choice on the go vape, but unfortunately at this point it is not...it is my back up unit.

My 1st replacement Indica stopped working yesterday. It lasted a few months but doesn't heat up anymore, just like the first one. It also doesn't seem to charge, but I guess there's still some charge in the unit since it switches temperature colors just fine.

I just shot Mike a message. Seems to be a recurring quality control issue; I hope they get it ironed out soon. Luckily, the customer service side of the company seems to be first-rate. I'll report back on how this all turns out.

Maybe I'll buy a MFLB as a backup this time around. I wouldn't like to smoke my lungs black while I'm waiting... :rip:

Apologies for a over a weeks absence. I had intended on heading to the factory to resolve the issue @HappySam is reporting while awaiting a single component upgrade. I have held back production since early December to correct this problem so to ensure minimal repeats of these failures continue.

@snorcan , let's try to determine your fuming source via PM. I have heard little related to this issue but need to be vigilant. With production currently held we can make needed changes and corrections if a problem is needing my attention before we restart up the line. Thank you for your posting.

Woot! That's great news! Keep up the great work @Indica Vaporizer - always working to improve the product!

Looks like I've sold another combusting friend on the Indica! She has a MFLB but hates it - doesn't think vaporizers work. She's tried my Indica several times and really likes the portability of it (plus for her, I know the fact that it's low maintenance will help!). Got a text from her this weekend asking where she can buy it!

Which got me thinking - is the Indica sold in local shops? Or can it only be purchased online. Tried to find a "locate a dealer" page on the official site, but couldn't find one.

Does anyone how long would it take to ship the Indica to Miami FL? I will travel to the USA in a few weeks and it would be great if I can purchase it online and get it shipped to the hotel where I'll stay. But I must know the estimate shipping time because I will only stay there for three days :)

Does anyone know?

Can you get shipping with email updates where you live? Where do you live? Get 48 hr delivery. It costs more, you may not have that where you live.:2c: Just some suggestions.

I live in Chile and international shipping for the Indica is not currently working at indica2.com so I want to ship it to Miami because I will be staying there for three days in a couple of weeks. It's only three days so I want to make sure it arrives at the hotel in that time frame. Thanks for the suggestions tho ;)

Status update! Mike replied right away, offering me two options for my replacement: Get another Indica now - caveat being that it might have the same issue as my previous two - or wait an estimated 2-3 weeks for a new model that shouldn't have any heating problems.

The herb addict in me is screaming "GET IT NOW, ME WANTS SMOKEY!!" but it's probably best to wait. In the meantime, I'll be purchasing an e-nano as my first desktop vape; hopefully that will arrive soon and tide me over until I can get the replacement Indica. Will report back in a few weeks, hopefully with the replacement in hand

I am also waiting but I didn't hear that it was a new model.

Yeah its more like a new model where they pinpointed and resolved the potential not heating issue that some have had. I have not had this issue with my two noirs though

The true new new model will be sometime in April or so

I want to thank Mike and his great customer support department. My Indica (chrome model) stopped heating last week. :rip: It was purchased last Summer during the MassDrop sale.

Everything seemed to work well, but no heating. I called customer service, informed them of the problem and they immediately gave me an RMA and the address to return the broken model.

Before the day was over I already received an email from them saying my replacement Indica had shipped. Not only didn't they wait to get the broken one back, but they sent me a brand new Noir (black) model which already arrived today.

Thank you Mike and the rest of the Indica crew!!:clap:

Hi all just got my indica, one question. I am doing the first 12 hour charge. When i plugged it it the white light flashed, i left it, just checked but no light.
Is that correct and if so how do i know when its charged on subsequent runs

Thanks

I see it on Massdrop again. Looks like the silver version, but it is 70 to $80 less then retail. Is it a older version or why so cheap?

Biggest difference I've seen is the older version has a smaller vapor path. I found this required weekly cleaning to ensure it stayed un-clogged. It would often clog and ruin the session (until you unclog it).

I have not had any major problems with the slightly larger vapor path on the new Noir unit - to the extent I have not once cleaned it (despite DAILY use), and I have not had to un-clog my path maybe more than once or twice (usually I can pull through the troublesome ABV with a hard draw).

There were other changes as well, but this was the biggest noticeable one to me.

@Ratchett, you latest post is making my VAS kick in. Just when I thought it was licked. I like to throw some hash in the middle of my load for a more powerful session. This can cause even faster clogging. That is pretty amazing that you haven't cleaned your Noir once. As much as I love my original Indicate, that seems like a significant improvement.
