Every part of the vape industry has or is having issues. S$B for present instance.
It's what you get with evolving tech. Or evolving anything, for that matter.

Untrue... the used ssv i bought about 5 years ago off craigslist is still running. Havent read of other companies having issues on the level of vapexhale. Nonetheless i have a evo on the way.

mind if I ask whats going on with S&B? Is it the mighty and crafty or their desktops like the plenty/volcano.

I would assume the new portables but that should be discussed in those threads.

You need to do more reading! Of course the ssv is doing great. It's a ten year old technology.
Did the ssv have problems like vapexhale, or has it been running smoothly since start? Sure there may be other vapes with issues but i've read on here that vapexhale has had the most issues. Still though im willing to take a chance. Can you tell me any other popular vapes that have had as many problems?

LiLRUBYDOLL,

All my days in a daze...
To be fair, while it is a great, simple design, the 7th Floor design isn't much more than a modified soldering iron.

The Cloud (and it's subsequent variants) is a far more innovative design.

It's quite unfair to compare the reliability of the two designs IMHO.

Innovation almost always comes with growing pains.

That said, however, the Cloud/EVO has had probably more than it's fair share of these pains.
(especially if you include the 240v versions).

I couldn't tell you if the ssv had problems at first...I haven't been vaping that long...only eight years. But it shouldn't have since it was just an improvement on the VaporBrothers technology.

Vapes with problems -- Pinnacle Pro (lots of failures after a pretty good launch), Ascent (lots of failures at launch), Ion (shut down by customs after launch), Sublimator (several major changes soon after launch due to burns, ets.), Herbalizer (founder leaving after launch), Inhalater (six versions now, I think?), MiniVap (parts supplier fucked up resulting in bad units on shelves), Crafty and Mighty (battery and housing issues) to name a few off the top of my head. Start you reading on those threads to save some time researching.

This is a young industry dominated by small production shops that don't have a lot of resources. After witnessing close up a lot of failures in this industry, I no longer expect something to work well out of the gate. If S&B, the grandfather of vape companies, is having problems at launch then I suspect everyone is susceptible.

VXL has come through pretty well, I think. And one could say incredibly well if considering the unusual challenges it had. At this point the product has gone through two revisions and some firmware tweaks along the way that make it a reliable unit. There will still be the occasional bad unit, but for the most part they have good units being made. At this point I expect some more growing pains as they are now releasing the 240v version, but not here in the states.

The real question you should be asking yourself is if this is a company you can trust to make any problems right. I believe it is. There are very few people with resolved issues feeling ripped off (I can't name any), but a plethora of posts here about how they stepped up to fix a problem.

Good post!! Have only heard of a few of those vapes as i know mostly only the basics. My main arguement was against the other guy that said every part of the vape industry has or is having problems. I am very excited to try the technology from vapexhale.

LiLRUBYDOLL,
Id like to quote Ataxian" Cannabis is the Holy Grail" I personally love the Herb. I spent thousands of dollars on pipes, electric bongs, hookahs, and other novelties trying to really enjoy the plant in its entirety and most satisfying form. This was prior to any Vaporizer. Once i got into Vaping an entire new expense begin. Glass and Vapes. I am so grateful to Vapexhale like @Stu for curing my V.A.S
Vaping is futuristic for me. I still have G.A.S which at the moment there seems no cure for. The Evo as well as the Cloud ( and I have both) Are just beyond anything I've ever had the privilege of trying. I've never had the satisfaction nor effects I feel from these two and the EVO is more powerful than the Clouds. The simplicity of use and the satisfaction of its performance always inspires the thought WHAT could get better than this?

The SSV was based on the basic box/whip vape, which is a simple design, and quality parts were used from the start, so there were no real issues or many failures. Innovative designs like the Cloud/EVO are much more likely to have problems at the beginning. There's also a big potential difference between a design introduced by a new company, vs. a long established one. The Oracle was an excellent bag fill design (I'd take it over the Volcano any day), but the company ran out of capital and couldn't continue. S&B may introduce a less than wildly successful model (Plenty), or have some problems with the new portables, but it's a solid company with many years of experience, so their products are a safer buy, all things considered.

VapeXhale was both a new and innovative company, and has survived newbie mistakes and a lot of bad luck to this point. For the most part I have an aversion to expensive vaporizers, but the Cloud and current EVO are an exception for me. Granted I got in on the very best pricing opportunities, but I have a working early model Cloud and an EVO, and no desire to consider any other brand/model in the big/smooth hitter category.

Max why don't you have any desire for another brand? What if a company comes out with a big hitting vape that isn't as pricey as the evo. How about then?

How did Stu cure your vas? I need to seek his guidance because I am seeing a lot of new vapes coming out and all are screaming my name. After I get the herbalizer and evo, I think my VAS will lose its power.

Hopefully, I can take a year long vas break, and see the new innovation. Maybe vapexhale will have created a portable.

In a video for Vapexhale @Stu
stated the Evo had cured his VAS I was quoting him

Yea, @stickstones - and @Stu and @max and many others of us here - have known VXL before it was even officially VXL. Most of us have/had an OG and/or a Plus, as well as an EVO. I can assure you that the collective knowledge of VXL and the Cloud here at FC far surpasses that of anywhere else.

All things considered, VXL has done well to weather the storms it has and still be doing OK. The first Cloud (aka the "OG") had it's share of new product design annoyances, yet the warranty rate was still close to the industry norm. The Plus had its flaws too, but the main issue was due to a crooked 3rd-party that just about broke VXL; by preventing VXL access to its proprietary components it was left unable to honor warranty and upgrade commitments. Most small outfits would have bagged it right there, or filed for bankruptcy protection. Instead, VXL took out a 2nd mortgage (literally) and successfully appealed to the customer loyalty it had built (via a crowd-sourcing campaign) to fund taking the EVO to market. The EVO has done quite well in the U.S. but VXL messed up with their international version. From my experience with more than a few start-ups I would point to the inexperience and immaturity of the company as the root of most of its problems; fortunately it's operational performance now is an order-of-magnitude better than at the start. Most importantly, its commitment to customer satisfaction has been impressive throughout. That, and the superiority of the Cloud itself, bodes well for VXL (assuming that damned international technical issue is resolved before long).

This is a long-winded way of re-emphasizing what @stickstones and @max wrote in the last paragraphs of their posts. This doesn't mean to suggest that VXL is perfect or that there aren't irreconcilable differences between VXL and some folks. But there is a reason why VXL has earned the reputation it has, that of a company that tries to do whatever it can to satisfy its customers.

The EVO definitely cured my VAS. I haven't bought one since. I have been getting some BHO and have been looking into buying a pen (I am using a cheap Chinese knock off right now) but I use the pen so infrequently cause the vapexnail and EVO perform so perfectly that I don't think I need any others LOL.
