Alfa Vaporizer by goboof

Given the 5v part, I'd wonder if any usb would charge it. It has a lithium ion battery, and they usually can charge from .5A (computer usb) to 1.2+A depending on device. It wouldn't charge nearly as fast, though.

I'm impressed how the abv is clear after a whole session at medium and high level with a lot of clouds!

And it claims to be a true conduction vape....my Inhalaters (it claims to be a convection/conduction vape) abv is dark brown after a whole session at 6, but there is still goodies in although Alfa's abv don't produce anymore clouds (both abv tested with my Nano).

It's a very good vape!

Got my Replacement Alpha. Still a cloud machine....no combustion yet. I forget to mention that this is better for high temp lovers/cloud chasers. Using it today reminded me.

374 is pretty good but the next temp is real high.
410 is high but you get to plenty of clouds and they keep coming it takes a while for them to taper off.
437(according to the quick start guide) is real high and the vapor is very warm. You still get plenty of clouds. Its a little warmer than I prefer but with a water tool (like the video earlier in this thread using PWT) the high setting would be real nice. Still need to do more testing. Will report back with more. These high temps got me!

Can anybody enlighten me on how long I should expect to wait to receive my new unit? Goboof received mine January 5th and I'm getting antsy to say the least. For others contributing to this thread, was it a matter of days, weeks, or months even?

Hard to say without knowing when it ships. Email goboof. Lately their communication hasn't been that great. So you might have to blindly wait. Sorry man, hopefully you have backups.

hey all quick question , i had to send my alfa back bc it was not heating up correctly , i did not even have the chance to really get a good session in. Do you think i can get a refund bc of this ? Company says once it was used i cannot but they sent it to me defective right off the bat. What do you all think ?

After some more time with all three of my vapes, here is my take on the Alfa, Mighty and MFLB.

Adapting the Alfa for a bubbler is extremely easy as I love to get my water on at least once a day. The cloud production with a pure indica (my favorite with the Alfa) packed tight is amazing, clouds clouds clouds……. Stealthiest vape on the market, period. Unit does smell pretty strong while heating up and flap lid on bowl could be designed better imo. Full extraction on medium heat (210c), pretty fast to get baked, 15 minutes bowl spent and abv even brown. My first unit had software issues that have been addressed, hard to judge durability since it is still so new.

The Mighty produces smooth flavorful hits with zero air restriction, I enjoy a variety of sativas and hybrids with this vape. Let me emphasize smooth here, hits are almost cool, no need for water tool imo. Filling the bowl is as easy as packing a pipe, just two added steps, twist on and off the cooling unit. The unit does seem to be a bit clunky in design. Battery is twice as long as most portables and charges pretty fast. Medicated within 10 minutes and bowl spent at 190c, evenly brown abv. It’s a new product from a respected company, hard to judge durability so soon.

MFLB produces excellent first taste hits when done properly, good one hitter unit. Precise control over the time material is heated, very little odor and is stealthy. Some green is left on material, so full extraction may not be happening unless you want char tasting hits. Batteries are replaceable and lots of accessory options. MFLB is extremely durable and dependable, with a lifetime warranty and years in the market backing this product.

As far as which units I use the most daily: Its Mighty first, then Alfa a very close second and MFLB for one hitter occasions and as a dependable backup.

Puff puff pass

Thats a tough one. Its really up to them at this point. They should get credit from Goboof when they return it to them. So you in turn should be able to get your "credit" back, but that all boils down to them doing the right thing.
Thats why I always tell people to check out PIU for vapes. Randy will always take care of a customer.

I used got vape and they said they cant take it back and i told him it was defective right out of the box so i just sent it for repair but i was not to happy with the way it was all handled . I know i could dispute it with my credit card company but its a whole process. At this point i don't really want it until they work the kinks out. I here people here saying they don't even get emails back from goboof.

My unit is dead in the water - it burns everything on the "low" setting. I purchased mine from Goboof directly. I have sent repeated emails and contact forms (via their website) over the past 2 weeks requesting an RMA or return or ANYTHING. Not one single response from them...

Edit - Found the root cause of my issue:

Issue: Heating cycle never stops and burns everything.

Cause: Failed NTC axial lead glass thermistor at the base of the oven. This little guy is measuring infinite ohms when cold and does not change with heat applied. Found the glass cracked in two. Shorting the resistor at the circuit board stops my blinking LED (as though requested temp is reached). I recall earlier in this thread we had a user experience melted plastic around the oven. A run-away heating condition (caused by faulty thermistor) could very well have caused this...

If only I knew the value to replace it with.... I don't suppose there's anyone out there with access to a multimeter willing to open their Alfa???

I emailed Goboof pictures and short video clip of my findings and got nothing. I was doing that so they are aware and was not expecting them to handle the situation. Randy from PIU took my unit back and sent out a new one. If I was dissatisfied, PIU would have gladly bought it back im sure. So for future reference, PIU.

I would try emailing them every other day. Its been way too long for you and thats unacceptable. Email Nothing nasty, but merely a log just in case you have to do a credit card dispute or something more extreme. Seems like they are deliberately ignoring emails. Its been two weeks that I sent an email.

I have some thoughts now that ive gone through a substantial amount of tests.

The Alfa by Goboof is NOT the Pax killer. For as high as the temps go, I expect for it to extract better. The ABV comes out lighter than any other vape I own. Its light brown and this is after ending on high. I dumped the ABV in my Pax and got about five more nice sized hits.

So as y'all know, I got the elevape because I like the idea of instant massive clouds and the ability to vape shatter like boss. The more I use it the more I value the Alfa. Its pretty simple, I just pack the Alfa and start on low until I'm wrecked. With the esv I'm constantly plugged in, I have to stir every draw, pack at least 3 ovens, not to mention that I have to clean the sensor and air path every few ovens. Bottom line is if you have a need for instant vapor from a very small unit that does not smell, don't mind stirring, can blow 300 and like fiddling around with stuff, its a fun little toy, but the only time I use it is when my Alfa is charging or at a rave.

@Slow draw, my abv from the Alfa looks like coffee (coffee on the left)
BazpVbl.jpg
, I can take it further in my esv but it tastes horrible

thats about the same color as mine. Im not used to that light of ABV. I think I just expected too much out of this little thing.

@thotfukr is that abv from sessions on high? Looks fairly light for a full conduction vape on such a high temp??

I really want this to fit my needs but I'm just not sure at the moment. I'm at the pool, but just enjoying a nice trench on my mflb before I jump in.

My first Alpha was extracting very well, then it charred it. I got my second Alpha as a replacement, I feel now its not extracting as much as it should with the temps it has. I can put my ABV from the Alpha in another vape and get some good hits. I heard from another member there might be a second update. I havent heard anything, but sure would like to know more.

I have only had the chance to use my Alfa once. It then began to stop heating in the middle of my session. Purchased from gotvape and they had told me it had a update prior to being sent out that goboof had supplied them with. I sent it back for repair and still have yet to receive it. It has been about 2 weeks and i called the other day to check in when a lady answered stating it will be coming back to me tomorrow and they would send me tracking. Well i never received tracking so i will call again today but i asked her what was the problem. She put me on hold and stated it needed a new update. I proceeded to tell her that i was told it had a update before it was shipped and that's when she said it needed a 2nd new update. I am just hoping it gets back to me soon in working order. This is a purchase i regret. A early adopter of a new companies product is something i will not do again. i have been very happy with my other vapes and upset i paid $200 for something about a month ago and have not even got to use it yet. Wish i could make a return .

Low and medium, still visible vapor production when I shut it down. I make qwiso e-juice with my abv so I like something left in it. This is from the the 6.3 grams above.

My Alfa is arriving on Friday and I really want to try it with the pinnacle pro hydro tube. Before I order one online I was hoping someone has a link for a good price on one. The cheapest I've found has been $58.99, has anyone seen them for cheaper?

Thanks

A bit off topic, apologies

Dhgate sells a knockoff for $20 , comes from china , takes a few weeks but its less than half the price and performs just as well imo . - http://www.dhgate.com/product/pinna...e-vaporblunt/184494946.html#s2-4-1|2215933441
