I was referring more towards pre-filled syringes. If you're filling your own, I'd definitely do some research to make sure it'll work. I can imagine there being suction problems with crumble, but maybe you could gently heat it first.

Has anyone removed their screen and soaked it in isopropyl alcohol? I'm still waiting to hear back from M-F about that being ok to clean it. You can see the difference between my first screen and the one I just popped in (which has only seen one use so far)

After a few weeks of trying the dual-screen, the only negative I noticed was that it's a bit harder to scrape off concentrate because there's less room to navigate the spoon if it's super sticky.

In a non legal state as I am how ever I can find it is how I get it and thus far I have yet to see preloaded wax dab syringes sadly. The screen being close to the same kind of screen that the original MFLB has you can def use the ISO to clean and once you do just run a burn off before use

I forgot how great the maud dib tastes. I have to put this back in the rotation. The only thing I dislike was the tubing, making it too conspicuous in the public. I guess I can try opening the lid slightly to bring in some air to cool the hit if I were to use it without the whip.

For those who use the whip without water attachment, do you place a mouthpiece at the end or just hit it straight off the whip?

I just got the wood mouth tip because the whip is too cumbersome, tasted like plastic ugh, and well obvious in public (not that I would) and will prob try it today the new flat wood stem they offer.. Just going to try to draw outside air at the same time to cool the air enough to reduce the heat from the box.

I primarily use it with a small vapor brother bubbler. I never had a plastic taste. I am surprised how short this thread is. If you use concentrates, I think everyone should own one.

@mixchu69 So if I wanna upgrade from an O-phos, what would you recommend - the Persei/Herc or the Muad-Dib?

Any one with knowledge to do so, feel free to compare

Persei-herc. Flavor and power is much better. I like the muad dib because of its look and efficiency for small dabs.

I am surprised myself not more people have heard about it and that this thread is so small.. But I have met many people that still spoke and know nothing of even vaping.. The ones that do Vape just use it they don't care what they get.. Not everyone knows even about the difference of strains indica/Sativas.. And they are not like us..

could you elaborate on this? I've been curious about the Persei but haven't seen in depth comparisons to the muad. Thanks!

I would also apprecaite that

Muad dib works like mflb. You put a small dab onto the screen and when you press the battery, the thing heats up to 900 degrees in a few seconds. You will get a one hitter.

Persei with Hercules has a technical feel. Herc is a long cartridge with a ceramic heating element using a ti donut coil as the 'wick'. This will give you a lot of fat clouds with the best taste imo.
You can put a gram into the herc.

I am putting the dart stem on the end for aesthetic reasons, but it also might affect the flavor, since the air is passing through wood one last time. On that subject, has anyone used the clear silicone tubing that Magic-Flight sells? I'm curious if the clear material has less "rubber taste" than the black whip. Admittedly I haven't recently cleaned the whip.

I also dig the look, it reminds me of "The Lassiter" antique ray gun from the tv show Firefly or maybe "The Little Cricket" from MIB.

Some might suggest you make your own BHO, but obviously that carries a risk of explosion if done incorrectly and is probably illegal in most places. Yeesh.

Since it's more of a "1-hitter" I assume the MFMD isn't as good for a concert or public event as something with an ecig tank but I do feel I could reload it quickly with the egg-shaped squeeze bottles sold at a few of my local medical shops. I think I might prefer the original launch box for that type of environment though, or maybe a medicated cookie. Anybody use their MD in public?

I do like the "melt in" trick of holding the battery down briefly to suck the concentrate into the screen. It lets you preload the box and stick it in your pocket for later.

Pulsing... I almost always end up doing 1 or 2 breaths with pulsing the battery, I just prefer that way over completely vaping 1 hit in a single breath and battery press. However I should also try the one-hitter way to be sure.

I like the microphone case that was previously posted. Not sure I want to buy a microphone just for it though. I didn't see just the case for sale. I've been using a padded "point-and-shoot" camera case. I can fit all my batteries and some oil, but what I like is being able to leave the battery and stem on and just throw it in there. To me, this is not so much about keeping the box from getting scratched, but more about keeping dust and lint away from the various airholes on the box itself. This is more like a shirt pocket or cargo pants sized case, however.

I actually never tried the black tubing but have used it with the water attachment with clear tubing. Never even had a hint of plastic, compared to a lot of pens out there

I noticed this too, but I washed it and I think over time the flavor improves. I really like the idea of getting a wood stem, but am worried that I will take too hot of a hit from time to time. Also, sharing with others who aren't accustomed to it, they would definitely take too hot of a hit. It's pretty cheap on amazon though, i should pick it up

I recently got the dart stem with the MD and like it a lot compared to the plastic tasting whip(I tried cleaning it)...no worries on getting burned all is well and if your worried draw in some outside air at the same time you draw. I recommend it over the whip and it makes it then travel ready and a stealthy one hitter (because that's all I need to leave this planet) Lol on the quick shooter dart stem photo Dark, hilarious!

I think its still worth getting the stem if you occasionally use the whip or something like the UFO. I chopped off a half inch piece of my whip to use to connect my stem to other components. This is my vitamin-bottle bubbler I fashioned after the UFO's design.


Look what I picked up! The first shop I went to only had pure CBD syringes, but the second place had tons of strain extracts separated by sativa/hybrid/indica which was pretty impressive.

The CO2 oils seem to work very well because they're higher concentration than typical BHO, and I can get a huge rip from a single breath. As for the syringe form factor, it did come with a metal tip for filling ecig tanks, but it isn't needed when using the Muad-Dib. The plastic tip is less aggressive on the screen as well. It wipes off the applicator in the same way that the kava vapor oil does.

For anyone else looking for something like this, be sure to check the packaging for additives before buying. There are some CO2 products that have lemon-flavored terpenes added in. The product I previously got in an egg-shaped bottle had a very lemon-y taste when used in the concentrate box. I also had the back of the squeeze dropper explode from mishandling, causing my hand to smell like lemon scented cleaner. And there are some oils that are designed only for ecigs/sublingual use. Rick Simpson oil is for baking I believe, even though it's in a syringe as well. I've also seen bulk product being referred to as "sap" by MMJ delivery services, presumably because you could reload it into a syringe because of its viscosity. However I bet if you slowly heated a shatter you could do similarly when it starts to warm up.

It's definitely a bit shocking to have a faux heroin rig just sitting on my desk, but is it any worse looking than an oil rig and blowtorch? I know I'm way less likely to burn the house down with my Muad-Dib no matter how medicated I get.

I don't have any desire to dab Marinol.

The dispensaries in Southern California get a lot of there stuff tested. If it is accurate or not, I have no idea. But waxes and budder hit me much harder than co2 extracts.
