3 out of the last 4 KISS carts I bought from W9 have broken after the second time using them. I use them once and then when I go to unscrew the cap to add more for a second time, the ceramic cup sticks to the cap. This means the entire cup and wick gets torn out of the housing and stays stuck to the cap. I never had this problem before so I don't know what is happening but I've essentially wasted $40 on carts that worked once. Very disappointing.

I have bought 6 3.7v kiss carts and not one has failed on me. I use them everyday (2-3 times a day) in my car to work/back home. I only use it with my omicron lite. I tried the 7.4 cart, but much prefer the smooth pull of the 3.7. You will get clouds too, just needs a lil time to warm up the wax/shatter. Maybe the reason none of mine failed is because I'm using the omi lite, it won't provide unnecessary higher voltage that might wreck the cart.

I am a newbie. I know I'm not pushing my cart, maybe that's why none has ever failed, even after ISO baths. But I can get the clouds, just requires riding the button longer.

Same thing happened to me. My Herc was temporarily out of commission so I ordered a couple Kiss carts to hold me over until I could repair it. Within the first 24 hours one of them broke just as you describe with the cup sticking to the top cone and pulling out of the base. I kind of just wrote it off since I got them cheap on sale and only needed one to last me a week or so until I could repair the Herc. Still, not the best experience.

How much concentrate are you guys putting in to the Kiss cart in one go? Loading a dab at a time I don't understand how the cart could get gunked up that much in such a short period of time. I've certainly broken Kiss carts before but never due to the reason you are describing. Even after weeks of use the upper cone mouthpiece is never getting that much residue on it.

I thought it was a tiny amount at the time. Whatever it is, it's apparently way too much. Does that make the carts more appealing or the experience less disappointing? Not really.

So my persei spring just collapsed.

I was running an 18650 with the SS tube w/ an iclear 30s for ejuice with the adapter. It had been working flawlessly like this for weeks.

After the spring collapsed, I noticed that my persei top smelled a bit like burning plastic. I tried putting the battery back in and the persei top started firing by itself without me pressing the button. I'm scared to put it back in using the collapsed spring ( i just pulled it back out slightly).

Even after putting 2x 18350's in the standard tube (spring never collapsed before on this tube), the persei just gives 3 blinks and won't fire.

Is my persei top fried?

I'm putting in as much wax as I put in the last 20-30 kiss carts I've used. There was just enough wax droplets that floated up to seal the cup to the cap. I'm not sure why this is happening with these new carts and never before. Maybe the cups don't fit as tightly in the housing as they used to? I'm wildly speculating.

Use nichrome & wrap tightly (I use 32 gauge nichrome & wrap it 5 times over, 4 under for 7.4). @DieHard 's tutorial is dead on if you need a detailed description of what to do for kiss carts & globes aren't too different.

I am using my Persei with the herc 74x running it at 7.4 on the core. So yesterday was the first time I tried it without the protective sleeve and realized that the mouthpiece got hotter without the protective sleeve. Is there any worry about the material from the mouthpiece?

Because I assume a lot of people get the top cap stuck in the mouthpiece. And that metal gets extremely hot.

I've had no issues with my mouthpiece while using my herc in this exact way.

Does your mouthpiece get warm? That's a stupid question because, of course it will with all that heat.

I whenever I open my herc 74x, the top stainless steel cap gets stuck in the mouthpiece. Is there a way to prevent it, other than ISO cleaning frequently. Is it even necessary to use, along with the Screen in the mouthpiece. I would like to try that out, but I don't want to mess anything up because it's FLAVOR CITY.

You have the sr74x, the cap stays stuck because of oil cooling down sealing the top cap. To remove easily I usually take 2-3 hits before disassembly. This usually warms up the herc enough to remove the top cap easily. You can take off the top stainless screen. I did a long time ago. No issues. Just have to be careful not to suck like a banshee or else hot oil splash into your mouth.

Do people use that small screen in the mouthpiece or take it out? I read earlier that some people like it without. But since I'm a newb, I like to use it how it was designed to be used and keep it in. It must serve some purpose (I can understand it more with loose leaf, since herbs can get in the mouth).

Please let me know how you are using the herc. With/without the heat shield that covers the cart, with.without mouthpiece screen, etc. any input would be greatly appreciated.

The screen helps regulate draw strength. And if you ever drop it it helps keep anything from going into your oil cart.IMO

A lot of oil collect's on my screen I can imagine that going into your mouth.

I have the screen removed on the mouthpiece, but i keep it on with the nibbler(rip). I use the lack of screen on the mouthpiece as a flaming oil defense against my careless acquaintances who are likely to abuse it like their ecig. If they cant be forced to figure out how to hit it properly they stop messing my shit up cause its too painful.

@DaNi_DuB Is there a reason you recommend nichrome over the gr2 ti wire? My understanding was ti is better but enlighten me, im new to building. i bought the herc originally cause i didnt wanna build my own carts, but you know... i wanna 7.4 globe.

I want to show people the magic of my herc and spread the word, but I hate letting friends use it. Too many of them just fail and don't follow directions at all for my simple vape stuff. I have to hover and be annoying or just accept my reclaim chamber is going to be full. Suck it like a straw, coughing INTO it, no cool down hits.... no way man, not my herc. I also like to pretend I'm 100% sure no one has ever slobbered into it while taking a hit.

Hah, yeah... vaping saliva isnt fun. My new kick was right before i cleaned it, just left hammer on for a couple cycles then handed it over to careless friend 1. Looked like a fire breathing dragon with heartburn, but cured him and friend two from wanting to try after cleaning and reloading...lol

IMO Ti is better in every instance except the most important one. Reliability. At 7.4v they just burn out way to quickly. With nichrome I can literally hold the button down as long as I want to & treat it no different than a 3.7v cart (I typically don't use non resistance wire & as long as I keep that in mind so I dont melt the rubber insulator I'm good). And tbh the taste difference isn't that noticeable since they run so hot. Bottom line IMO: Ti = 3.7v, NiChrome = 7.4v.
