im in between hobbies right now (frustratingly undecided) which for me means im spending most of my free time doing house projects that ive neglected for a while, thus far no one in the house has complained but im sure getting sick of it! since i was a kid ive always been up for a hike in the woods, the deeper the better and i often do what i can to get myself turned around and lost so it turns into a bit of a struggle to get out (night hikes ftw)...its a treat to take people with me since they assume i know what im doing, which i sort of do lol

Running day or night and in all weather.
I'm on 8 half marathons since December.
Mountain biking when it's not icy as sh#t.. All of these things go toward my fight training.
Muay Thai. I hope to get 4 fights this year.

Ran in the rain yesterday. Love running in the rain.

Long runs in a drizzle (not a downpour)....yeah! I've run with folks where I'm wearing a t-shirt and swim shorts (My goto running clothes) in under 50 degree weather while they're wearing sweat pants, a hat and long sleeves. They'll say...aren't you going to be cold? I tell them 'I'm going to wish I were you for the first 5 minutes and your going to wish your were me for the rest of the run' ;)

Yeah. Shorts and t-shirts for me too, but when it dips into the 50's, I'll throw on a sweatshirt over my t-shirt. Also wear a HeadSweats hat all the time. Keeps the sun and some of the rain off my face and the sweat off my eyes.

with the winterweather I mostly stay inside(especially this week it's been raining all the time, only had 1 day of snow so far this winter, the rest of the time it's just wet and cold), so I've been playing a lot of europa universalis 4. and I've also started thinking a little about gardening again, today I received some chili- and tomatoeseeds that I ordered.

TMI Alert.....Care must be taken to properly prepare the nips when running in the cold. I used to use Runner's Glide on them but once I sweat soak the t-shirt it rubs 'heavily' back and forth, like sandpaper on my standing-at-attention-nips. So I cut the two elastic sides of a band-aid to protect them. Was getting ready to head out Saturday night when the wife reminded me to put on my pasties.

Not MMA but Muay Thai, and yeah, they are fully sanctioned and legal. I'm Semi-pro now.. I usually know who I'm gonna be fighting about 8-10 weeks in advance.
Used my prize money from my last bout to purchase a Minivap.. Superb!

I hear that! Although I cut weight so kinda need those extra layers to keep the body temperature up so I continue to sweat bucket loads.

But then my true identity would be revealed.. I'm batman

Edit: Anyone else that's interested in seeing a few of my fights let me know and I'll invite you to the conversation to view.
Guess I'm just paranoid about jamming my face(and naked skinny ass torso and chunky legs) online with my real name.

I have an overactive mind, to say the least, so I need to keep it engaged or it bothers me.

I like Tangram. It's not really a "puzzle" in the Western sense, and is best approached as something that can be used to seek balance and understanding, rather than a problem to be solved and then discarded.

Even though I work to use the seven pieces to match silhouettes in a book, the approach is just very different from a western puzzle. Smart people who think about the deep math and elegant balance of order/disorder of the seven pieces could explain it better than a vaped dude can right now.

The real "a-ha" moment came for me when I realized that no matter how hard i tried as long as I lived, I will likely never come up with a more expressive chicken than some anonymous person in China did hundreds of years ago when all the basic forms were perfected.

But you can always try! And I do it all the time, and never until tonight did I come up with something on my own that made me smile because it was so beautiful in its symmetry made from the most asymmetrical configuration I could imagine. Although I've "solved" countless similar geometrical forms, and this one is probably in one of my books, it still came out of me and at least I think that's kinda cool.

Kommy - Got it..these are not open style tournaments/bouts and are restricted to Muay Thai practitioners. I can understand your concern about exposing your true identity and suggest care be taken if you intend to go full-out-pro. I don't know what the rules are in your country but in certain athletic pro-competitions here in the states even MJ use could get you disqualified from participating in a event.

Aimless adventure hikes are definitely my favorite way to spend a day. I always try to bring a buddy!

Perfect.
Heading up country today.
Snow is falling, neighbor is starting the fireplace for us . It'll be nice to walk into a warm cabin in the sub alpine. 8 friends will arrive over the next couple days.
Skiing, boarding, eating, vaping.
Maybe a beer or 20.
Life is good.
Feeling very fortunate.
