Discontinued The Herbalizer

@letter never sent

Also one of the first 50!
Herbalizer is still one of my top vapes!
Had the first issue you had and nothing else!
She just pumps out vapour and medicates effectively!
My bags work perfectly and do not leak or pop off the bowl.
Bags are my go to for awesome concentrate flavours!

Don't use the aromatherapy function at all...
A few times in the beginning but the novelty soon wears off as it does not really function that well at all.

Apart from that, still a very happy camper!
Whip, bags, WT - All so easy to use and connect to!

I love your post, it's spot on. Makes me miss my Herbie. Which has departed Texas, BTW. :)

I also tried the aromatherapy on my herbalizer. Having this feature was one of the features that sold it on me. I could leave this thing out in the open with just the pretense that it was a aromatherapy device and no one would be the wiser, including my children. But that quickly changed when I used some lemongrass, which was recommended by one of the random messages on the display. well, please don't try lemongrass or any other citrus based oil on the herbie - it eats thru plastic - d'oh. who knew? So my unit's top section is now disfigured. Anyone else experience this and received a response from herbalizer as to whether this is warranty covered? After all, it is explicitly recommended by the device.

I can't complain though. The whole experience got me to realize how soothing aromatherapy is in the home so I picked up this diffuser unit from amazon http://www.amazon.com/dp/B00I869US6...lid=1KQ2XVIL56RDT&coliid=I3QU5EHG93J4WM&psc=1 by SpaRoom and so far it really works well and puts out tons of vapor. Given how this diffuser works, and how well it works, it makes me wonder if the aromatherapy aspect on the herbalizer was thrown in an effort to have device be more accepted by the mainstream, but for me, it is really non-functional, both in its output but also in how susceptible it is to damage by the complex nature of essential oils.

I have been too afraid to use the aromatherapy mode on my Herbie. I use this stuff from The Body Shop all the time, but in an old fashioned oil warmer that uses a tea light candle.

I have back up vaporizers, but I REALLY miss my Herbie. :(

A fragrance oil does best as you describe, Vicki... in an old fashioned warmer.
I would stick to 100% pure essential oil use, if you decide to use Hernies aromatherapy mode.
This will evaporate completely off the pad, or clean readily with Iso with no residue or residual fragrance, should you elect to... (or need to) use the pad for concentrate consumption later..

I would be interested to hear what people's favorite aromatherapy oils are. Also, how often (every session/every other session) do each of you put the oil on the pad and how much? One drop? Two drops? I never used the aromatherapy except to try it once but would like to make my room smell less like herb after a session. This matters much more during the winter when all my windows are closed. If it is an extra step that I have to add a drop of oil each time I don't see myself doing this consistently. Also, do you have to remove the aromatherapy pad to add the oil or do you just drop on top while it is in place? I really don't want to touch the pad with oil on it trying to stuff it back in to that little holder.

I like the clean ones...
There are florals.. and woods... and herbs...
woods tend to get thick and require cleaning after they evaporate.. but they do smell nice.
Clean ones are Lavender, Lemon, Grapefruit
Patchouli is thick and woody.
I like to mix them.
Cedarwood with eucalyptus
Cinammon with Lavender and pine
**Clary Sage/Spearmint/Lemon is wonderful!
I wrote about it on my blog

Thanks Vitolo. I'll check out your blog for sure. Do you remove the aromatherapy pad between hits or just leave it in? I'm feeling my neck act up so I guess that means it is time to start my sessions for the day.

Picked up some SD that is marvelous in the Herbie. Started at 420 and got clouds I got at 440 with the last strain . The flavor is amaZing with Herbie. My taste buds have so much fun with the flavor :love:
I noticed the vape isn't hearing up as fast as usual. I kinda want to send it in soon to get that looked at and fixed.

Based on Vitolo's advice I bought this Essential Oil sampler pack on Amazon. http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00LCBR6YY/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 It includes Peppermint, Sweet Orange, Lavender, Tea Tree, Eucalyptus and Rosemary in small 10ml bottles. I think this should be enough for me to mix and match different oils together. I have been playing with the aromatherapy function to make my room smell good when I come back and I am starting to really like this feature.

I do have a few questions for those who use it as a room freshener.
1. How often do you add in the oil? Do you add a drop every time or every other time? Would I want to put multiple drops early on in the evening and let it ride?
2. How often, if ever, do you change out the aromatherapy pad especially when mixing different flavors?

I am trying to work out a process for doing this and would appreciate the advice.

i am looking to pair SSV tubing with a 18mm bubbler and a glass whip adapter of the appropriate size for my Herbalizer. Is this all I need i.e does the tubing fit tightly into the adapter and Herbalizer bowl without further modification?

My Herbie has arrived in California! Yay!

Don't get me wrong, I love my Solo, but I love my Herbie more. Hopefully, my unit is delivered to Herbalizer soon (tomorrow), and they can begin the diagnostic's.

Fucking first world problems... I want to send Herbie in but don't want to be without her.
How did you send it in Vicki? Did you put the vape in its box or something else?

Edit-I have to share the new way I'm herbalizing..bought two curved mouthpieces and this one is a hit. Started a small bowl at 380.god the flavor!!i am a flavor snob no doubt about it. Cranked it up to 425 however I'm finding the lower temps dry to be fantastic. This dry stem has opened up so many possibilities :science::haw:

Carrie sent me a UPS label via email. I printed that and affixed it to a brown box a little bigger than the Herbie LE box. I put my Herbie in the LE box, then wrapped that box in bubble wrap, several times. Then I put it inside the brown box with a ton of scrunched up newspapers to fill in the small gaps. By the time I got done, the inside box couldn't move at all.

The SSV tubing fits tightly on top of the Herbie bowl. As long as you get a glass adapter (a SSV tubing to 18mm for example) that fits the tubing, you are good. Since you mentioned you are a glass newbie, I'll mention to make sure you pay attention to female vs male on the glass.

Using the mesh pad, you will not add oil in as large an amount as one would on a hot flat surface diffuser. It sits in the slot at an angle as though it were a coin on it's edge, so it can hold about 2 drops.
You would add oil when the aroma stops, or when you hold the pad up to light and see it has no wetness from oil.
You throw the small pad in a cap of Iso ..... and then blot it dry on paper towel to cleanse and prepare for a fresh scent.
You do not have to clean it every time, but rather when you "feel like it needs it"... and you will soon develop a sense for when this is needed.

With those bags you made... Does the female to male adapted have to be bent? Do you think it would work as well with a regular straight connection?

My herbalizer has been tucked away for like 3 months because the magnetic part of my bowl came off, and roommates complained about the smell (because the bags leak)

I just ordered a solid valve though, hoping this leads me to using it again.
Those of you using a solid valve from the volcano, you simply hold it in place and it shouldn't leak, correct ?

My magnetic ring also fell off.

If you contact Herbalizer support they will priority ship you a new bottom bowl free of charge. Something about the epoxy not curing in the first batches. Then you ship your defective bowl back. They even give you a prepaid shipping label.

I am the one that posted the pics of the solid valve. Just lightly hold the valve and it will be leak free. The only thing is be careful not to drop the solid valve on the LCD screen.

I have finished testing my new easy, air tight bag change method for the SqueezeValve. Pics hopefully tommarow.

I know this is subjective. Herbalizer the best plug-in? Cloud evo?

I will probably buy both, but have to ask the question. Which one would you buy first. Herbie=versatile, precise temp, fan and aromatherapy. Evo: water filt, better for concentrates with the vxnail, bigger clouds.

Does that sound correct? I have been eyeing these two. Is there anything I'm missing. These observations are made by reading thru both threads. I have not used either.

The Evo is a great unit but I much prefer the Herbie. If I want to vape right now, boom--10 seconds and good to go. The Herbie precise temp control is great as you can easily go low or go just below combustion temp and never combust.
I like the bowl/ loading system of the Herbie--never a fan of the Evo system. I do love the miniVAP system even more and am working on a "basket within the Herbie basket" to keep herb from sticking to the top screen. I found the Evo harsher/ needing water more IMO.

Now Ratchett has a silicone adapter (Song) for the Herbie to use a hydratube or it is easy to do a whip to water connection.
I'm not a bag guy so Herbie has the option but mine is unused at this point.

My wife loves the Herbie fan assist!!! It's ok by me. Many I know love the fan assist function.

I find the miniVAP tastes better than the Herbie which tastes better than the Evo.
Evo and Herbie are both nice and the Evo has some strong supporters
