Arizer Solo

Recently received an 18mm turbo PVHEGonG, it's very nice looking (for a GonG) & a snug fit which I prefer so I'm really happy with it. Unfortunately it won't go all the way into the Solo oven with the cap attached & results in a very light browning & minimal vapor. However it fits perfectly & works well without the Solo cap screwed on but obviously this isn't ideal.
I also have a 14mm from VapoShop which is looser but fits easily through the Solo cap.
Like I said I love the tight fit no wobbling on WTs & I could try to widen the hole in the Solo cap but I don't know if modifying a vaporizer to fit the accessory is a good move.
Anyway it's all good this isn't a complaint, I've sent a query & was just wondering if anyone else has any thoughts on this.

Hey @Poostuff
Ive been using my 18mm pvhe turbo gong for about 3 weeks with no problems so there must be something wrong with yours.....the folks at pv are good people so im sure they'll hook you up......
Thank you. I figured it should slide on maybe not too easily but mine gets jammed just below the logo.

This is a response I got from my email to Arizer. I just copied the important info. I sent another email tonight asking for a list of retailers that are authorized vendors. I told Kevin there was some confusion. Kevin sent this regarding my email from yesterday. They will honor the warranty from anywhere it looks like, as long as there is a receipt.

All of our products are covered under warranty, but there are many reasons why people should purchase our products from Authorized Retailers:
  1. To ensure they receive the newest available of our products
  2. To ensure they receive Authentic Arizer products
  3. To ensure they receive everything they ordered, new, and in good condition
  4. To ensure they receive their order
  5. To ensure they receive fast and friendly service direct from their retailer
We hear many horror stories on a regular basis from customer who order from unauthorized retailers at discount prices, only to receive the order with missing and / or broken parts, used and / or damaged units, sometimes not receiving anything at all, and poor service or no response or assistance from their retailers.

This is the email that Arizer sent in regards to a list of authorized vendors.

Our products are sold worldwide by hundreds of retailers and the list is constantly changing so we do not keep an active list of Authorized Retailers. If anyone has any specific inquiries about a specific retailer they can feel free to contact us with their inquiry.

Best Regards,

It's covered from Puffitup. You might want to call them? I assume mine has a 2 yr warranty from the date I bought it? Im just assuming. I don't want to give false info.

EDIT
Thanks for clarifying that for us @OF. I tried looking and couldn't find that info.

Puffitup has awesome cs you will be treated in a fair way. They want you to come back again. I see they have online help.

Wonder what would happen if the open box Solo were to break within a few months...i knownits a risk buying a used unit but maybe ittle be covered

Your recourse rests solely with PIU, Arizer doesn't want to know you I'm sure. The good news is that means Randy is there. Within reason I'd feel confident of support within his 'we want you to be happy' policy. He gets to decide what that means in the end I guess, but consider his history?

It's an 'as is, where is' deal when push comes to shove......but I wouldn't expect that if the conditions were reasonable. Randy is a reasonable guy, and then some.

I doubt that, the listing is all gone now, but the warranty for the Puffit reads:
"We cover these units with a full 30 day warranty, if you are not happy with your purchase for any reason we will be happy to buy it back"

FWIW I recall 'we want you to be happy' (limited time of course).

hey guys, i was just wondering why so many have "backup solos"? i bought mine used from a local FCer and it has been quite reliable...i know that theres always death around some corner, but do people really feel like 2-3 backup solos are necessary?

not sure if its my increased usage during break, but i feel like my solo now struggles just a bit to heat up (maybe takes a bit more time than usually). i really love that i didnt have to baby this device (compared to all of the other things i use that have to be cared for delicately - glass bubbler, stems, computers, phones, tablets, etc...) and i guess i have the air to use in case anything ever goes wrong to the solo, but i guess my real question is:

how many of us actually had to resort to their backup solos?

so far, i never needed to...but maybe that day may be coming soon?

The more the merrier..
I could not be without my SOLO even the thought of being without makes me feel anxious.
Nothing like a good backup plan. Nice to have a spare charged when the other is running low.

One Solo is not really necessary, but having a backup is comforting I think. I'd sure hate to get caught without one and I have lots of alternative vapes to fall back on.

Another plus is you can loan them to others to try out. I've had 2 out on lone at the same time I was using the third. Twice that happened. Right now my 'new model' (charge while heating) is out on loan.....I'm getting that same old feeling I'm about to get $160 rather than my Solo back. Again (that's happened twice now). I'm happy to have friends get on board, as I believe many are. I've probably made 5 or 6 such 'ghost buys' for others (even with a card in a MMJ state paranoia is alive it seems).

The 'open box' one I just ordered from PIU is probably bound to be a gift to a 'friend of a friend' pressed for funds as many young folks are these days (funny he can always come up with a gram or two....). I'll consider it a great victory if we can break the boy of his blunt infatuation. Seems to me medical types are easier to get on board than recreational ones? Anyone else notice that?

haha damn OF, u ARE a nice guy! ya, in my circles, people prefer blunts and laugh when i bust out the MFLB...they seem to take the solo a bit more seriously, but still are not impressed by the effects so much...

i really dont know any true "medical" users, but i would assume that your observation is true...

I probably didn't do this quote & reply right but we'll see.

I wouldn't get a Solo to back up my Solo, I prefer to rotate a my vapes & didn't even like the Solo when I first started vaporizing, I found it too gentle & cool. Now after no combustion for a few years I really like it. It's not the only one I use but it's versatile & kinda fun. I only use it at home & to me it feels like it produces a pure mist like vapor, so I get why people buy more than one.

mod note: You didn't, you should have put your reply outside the QUOTE tags. Fixed.
