Yeah I use this technique, but I wasn't telling anyone to never take the coil out, I was just saying I never do it. I only want to say what works for me. I have also boiled the coil ad iso soaked it but I have found heating the really old gunk out and letting it drip right into the trash works most easily for me, and it takes a little less oil and effort to "rebuffer" the whole thing as well.

ps triton force activate. I can't wait for that!

Dont just throw the gunk away... i have a reclaim jar for my herc and all reclaim gets conglomerated and then i cap and consume as i please. the cannabinoids are activated in reclaim so no need for a food buffer to digest and process.

:o You've got balls of steal, my friend. I would never risk iso soaking something with electronics in it.
to make it easier i had a faulty cart leak oil inside of the top. It coated all the electronics and my button would not move. I asked G about warranty work and realized since in was such a limited run, there was none available. So it was useless at that point. An overnight soak and everything was working again, still using it today. :D

is the kiss mini the triton?

-holds like .3
-no side air holes
-fits in okeanos

Triton, the largest moon of Neptune has a retrograde orbit. Its also cryovolcanic. Could this be a hint about the W9's Triton?

I've been using the kiss mini in the Okeanos for a couple days now. Reads 2.4 ohms on the spot with the W9 tester. Cloud production is massive! This go around it's loaded some high quality shatter:

@Nube Scrutator Unless the kiss mini has no air holes, I have no clue how your shit isn't leaking all over the place. Can you provide some insight as to how the kiss works?

does it fit in the okeanos fully screwed together or do you need orings to fill gaps

Just placed an order with a "vaporizer" on the list. (kiss mini pen). I cant wait to try it out. Figured if its a good cart, the battery would make it the hardest hitting, most portable/discreet oil vape yet! And holds a good amount? Im in! More pics/info on the kiss mini would be awesome!

I can't provide insight. However after 2-3 days of vaping with .2-.3g loads, there has been no leaking (at room temperature, sitting upright). Here's the actual cart. I did not wipe it down before the photo:

It does NOT fit without the added black o rings:

IMO the mini vaporizer produces only mediocre clouds, but the taste is fabulous. The kiss mini cart really performs well in the Okeanos with a 3.7v Persei.

If I'm not mistaken, the Triton is supposed to be a ceramic heater for use with the Okeanos. That was a while back now though and G has a tendency to throw some curve balls our way, so who knows what it has evolved into these days. lol

Im about to buy a heatgun as well @mixchu69 to service my reclaim chamber. I see this one at 20$ http://www.staples.ca/en/King-Canad...eEsSHQsgQeus2OjJNn5s29RNtmOu-4GHpYaAlFa8P8HAQ. Then I need some kind of ti tool to hold my ceramic rod and coils while I torch them. Im not sure what to get as I dont dab.

I have a new herc sr74x iso soaking atm!!! I will use it for my 1st qwet washes, then my sr71 for the 2nd washes.
Are you sure a cheap gun will suffice. I have no experience with this, but most of the recommendations were for $80 heat guns. I don't want to buy a cheap one and doesn't do a good job.

As long as the heat gun produces heat it will suffice.

A hair dryer held close to the cart will work equally as well, just might need a little longer to get everything up to temp.

There's always my personal favorite as well, a food dehydrator(much better control over temp.)
Put the cart upside down over a collection dish. Set desired temp. Walk away and come back some time later and virtually every drop of oil will have drained out.

Im not sure at all. But I think we can adjust the hot air temp with distance, it has 4 different nozzles. The thing is I dont see myself using that gun for anything else. Now I dont want to cut corners. If there are plusses for our usage to pay 80$ instead of 20$, I will buy it. But now I feel all the plusses are for the reno/construction usage.
How long should a kiss cart dry for after being iso soaked?
Give it a few dry burns. You should hear something if there is water left, it should boil.

Personally, I just do the ISO soak. No water. Let it dry on a paper towel. Blow it out with a hair dryer or any source of air. Hot air will be faster. A quick dry burn will assure all ISO is out of the wick.

When I iso soak globe coils I shake out the extra and set the globe upside down on a paper towel on top of my internet modem overnight. The warmth of the machine is enough to dry everything out. one nice thing about those globes is that you get an extra coil so no cleaning downtime

If anyone makes their own concentrates here im gonna say give stok fyre a shot. Great yield, darker than newport yield, but out of the two goes i got shatter with minimal heat purge. Even at 120 f it was solid in the pyrex.

I started using Stok Fyre a little over a month ago and the difference in yield is massive. Almost an entire gram more than when using 14x refined Vector with the same strains! I'm assuming it's due to the amount of pressure in the can. Mods, sorry for derailing the thread with my response.

Sounds good. Also can use the heat gun to dry my kiss carts after ISO soak. Also can Use it to also drop dabs directly onto coil without touching the ti wires. So many different functions

Wait, you have a 510 thread adapter on the okeanos base right? My kiss mini is 510 and my okeanos is 610. I think I'm going to try this, I'd love to do longer sessions without reloading.

I was skeptical about loading so much into the kiss mini, but I'm really impressed so far. Took it to a hockey game keeping it in my pocket and using it a couple times with no leaks or issues. I did put a silicone kiss cover over the mp though so nothing got into the wax. I usually take a minicron lite with an eo cart. As long as it keeps working this well I'm going to give up the eo's for them. Much easier to load, easier to use, stealthier, and definitely better tasting. Longer lasting too if I can iso clean this when it gets funky and use it again. So far better than I expected though, making me wonder if I like it more than my kiss cart or globe. Man I love when new toys come out.

Kiss mini 510? Didn't know that was available. Mine are 601. I'm using a 601 Okeanos with a Persei 3.7v. Yes, it is nice not having to unscrew and load the Okeanos so often. The taste keeps going too.
