The Lotus Vaporizer

First off, this is my daily driver. I have a very nice VB whip unit and a Firefly that are collecting dust because they are too involved or too big to be used in my situation. I need to take quick hits most often and the Lotus can be packed, fired up and done in a very short period of time. You just need a "go to" torch lighter that works for you.

I have the Al stem, the J hook and the wpa. They are all real cool, but I use the stem the most. I have the long stem because stealth is not a big issue for me. It has the least parts needed to assemble and is the fastest for during the week quick hits.

When I have more time, then the j hook and wpa is a luxury. I can sit back and enjoy the set up and watching the vape clouds form. I also love the sound of GONG joints clicking and clanging as bowls are packed and the j hook is cleared. I bought this part of the set up for fun. The Al stem does the daily grind.

Ah, this actually confirms everything perfectly for me :D I won't be getting the stem despite the stellar review, because my plan was to use this around the house when I'm trying to get a little saucey, some real big rips. Or take it out and about, which I can do with the WPA and seems to be the J-Hook, but regardless I have a 14>18 adapter piece so I'd be able to hook it up to any of my friends instruments.

Appreciate the help friendo :)

You can get some glass adapter pieces and make some pretty cool pipes as well.
Lot's of options with the Lotus, you won't be disappointed.

The coolest thing about the Lotus is it's versatility. The second coolest thing is how little time it takes to use when you want it's effects NOW.

I got mine last summer and it has taken over (from the HA) as my goto vape since. I have the large stem and the j-hook, and to be honest I have used the stem only twice since getting the vape. The J-Hook I use a bit, but the majority of the time by far I am using the WPA through water pieces. If I needed it more out of the house I am sure the stem would get more use in places that stealth wasn't important, but if I am using it away, some stealth is usually necessary and for that I use the Flowermate.

I'm hyped, my new bubbler just got here, if imgur would work I'd throw you guys a picture but needless to say, it was a good call not getting the aluminum stem as it likely would never receive use :D

Sounds like the best choice. Trust me, if I could leave some vaping stuff out at my house, I would be totally using the Lotus wpa with all kinds of glass bubblers.

Please correct me if I am wrong, but the lotus was supposed to create a high temp cap. Is that the lotus v.3?

Hey Tweak! You won't be disappointed. My at home driver almost 100%.
The last we heard is here. Think he also mentioned Jan/Feb time frame somewhere.
Been waiting myself as want to order another heater plate for mine to have on hand but want to order the new HT version at the same time.
Hopefully we will get an update shortly on release date.:D

I have talked to my doctor weeks ago more than one time. First i got eye-drops for bakterial infections, it not worked. Then i got prescribed a cortisone cream which worked just as long as i used it.
It was just a stupid idea to ask you smart guys, maybe someone noticed the same deflektion.

I will not use the lotus for some time an see what happens.
(Just got a Wispr today )

Ps. With a heavy nickel allergy you should not smoke cigs because of the nickel content of the smoke can cause allergic reactions.

Hi
Just want to clear this up.
I have not used my lotus a week long then changed the top plate to a new one.
The allergic reaction is gone. I do not use the lotus as exessiv as before but think it might have been the problem that the plate had some cracks and so it was not working properly.

thanks for ya help

I'm not sure on the exact specs, but the bowl size is about right for a solo session. Maybe 1.0 cm wide/ deep? All bowls are adjustable, just add more or less matter into them:) The attached stir stick is pure genius and gets used all the time.

The Lotus would suffice as a passing apperatus, but I think it's better suited to one or two people. Personally, I find it pretty hard to combust with the Lotus. By the time it comes down to ignition, my herb is so depleted that I'm already changing it out. So I think it'd be just as good as any other flame driven vaporizor for beginners.

It's highly portable but not the most stealthy piece around. As others have mentioned, using the Lotus looks a lot like smoking crack. So you can't exactly hit it when mingling with the unenlightened.

I'd recommend the Lotus. It's a must-have and there are a lot of forum members that happily include it in their quiver even if it isn't their go-to vape.

Superficially, it may seem kind of expensive. But when you get your hands on it, see it's quality and what it can do you probably won't be disappointed.

I'm still using the original plates that came on the V2 models that I purchased. I did buy replacement plates but haven't needed to use them yet. I'll probably buy another cap when the HD version comes out.

The aluminum stem is very durable and works well but I'd recommend accessorizing. At the bare minimum, I'd recommend getting a WPA and J hook (or two, you will break them). Many, many people are happily running Lotus caps on bubblers. I was going to take this route myself but blew my budget on a Daisy instead.

Go for it. You will not have buyers regret.
Hello,

I am interested in getting the lotus or daisy (want to try a flame powered vape). The daisy looks very boxy. But it gets great reviews sand don't plan to use flame powered vapes outside of the house. I am waiting for the lotus high temp cap. Shou,d I reconsider and also look at the daisy. Thanks for any input or advice

I think it comes down to whether or not you want to use it with water, because it works so well with my glass collection. The Daisy can do it, but it is up to you to figure it out, whereas the Lotus is already good to go. If you don't want to use water, then it comes down to the form factor and which you prefer. They both are big hitters that use the same technology, but they fit different styles. Which do you prefer the look of?

I definitely will go with lotus because of the form factor and ease of use with water pipe. Thanks stickstones.

I miss hitting a glass spoon pipe. Maybe I can make what @Pipes made and get that feeling back. I find myself coming back just to look at that picture he posted some days ago.

Lovin this unit. So easy once you get going. Can get the max out of your stash. Finding it gets another couple hits from the ABV from my Flowermate even though the ABV looks toasted. Gave this a shot as didn't feel like the FM was performing for the amount it gobbles up.

A follow up to that screen I installed:
Finding that the metal screen, I posted a few pages back, with the holes is working just great with the D20. Only cleaned it once and that was just soaking the top at the same time as the D20 overnight. Sure don't miss the hassle of screen cleaning.

This is what has settled in as my daily driver:

IMO, the extended mouth piece is a must! Positions the bowl for good viewing and comfort.

How can you tell if you burnt or ruined your cap? I just got my lotus and forgot to only adjust the lighter to a 1/2 and so I cranked that lighter heat up and with the first bowl combusted not very bad but still, second rips... So bad there was even alittle white ash. I wiped out the inside after the seconded combustion and started another bowl which also combusted alittle. I finally remembered the 1/2" and stopped. I am currently waiting for an adapter piece from my own piece so I don't wanna mess with it much until I get that. I'm assuming the coloration on the top after just the couple bowls is normal because of the high heat.

My face is melting...
I have 2 of these Jobon's. Had to replace the ignitor in one but they work very well. And can be repaired if need be. Also having a back up is always a good idea.

Those have been the same that I've had the best luck with too.

Didn't you post a mini-tutorial on replacing the ignitor a while back? I wish I could remember what discussion board I had seen it. I have one jobon down with a bad ignitor. That ebay price is pretty good too.

Don't worry about it and keep on vaping. It's not that delicate.
