I know this comment was not aimed at me but i do agree with you that arizer does not own portable game. There are many vape's out there that fill different needs for everyone. The size on the Alfa is great and i believe the Alfa own's the game for size when it comes to this i do not know of another portable this small. Glass can be a pain for some but with the Air they do include a short stem that is very small and easily portable and i do get a better taste going through its glass air path over the Alfa. But i agree Alfa is great if you need something super small. Only problem for me is i want something small that i can swap a battery with in-case it dies out on me . Maybe Alfa is watching this thread and will improve on this in the future.

I also wanted to add that after a session my herb does come out a bit more brown out of the Air compared to my Alfa .

Thank you for posting your thoughts Justpassedu. Not sure why you are so afraid of the mods. They seem nice here, and only a bored mod looking for something to do would be so particular, in my experience. Also not sure why anyone would get angry about a vaporizer. Different people like different things and that is ok.

Your review came out pretty much exactly as I expected, seeing as the air is essentially the solo in the important aspects. I disagree that they win the portable game, because for me the device isn't great for on the go with lots of fragile pieces and stuff to fiddle with to get it working, as well as reduced stealth. That's just me, though.

This is why I love the alfa. It's so so stealthy, lightweight, and easy to use on the fly. With all sorts of stuff in my pockets, the it's nice that the alfa is so small and light that I forget it's there. That's partly why I didn't upgrade from the MFLB until the alfa, for this particular purpose. There is a flavor and smell tradeoff.

thotfukr, that's a hilarious picture. You could totally pass it off as a chinese mp3 player or something. The pax can no longer claim this, because it's a recognizable product. Removes all sorts of stealth factor.

Not going to get into that discussion on this thread, my point was then alfa can keep up with the best of them.

@Kaptan, this isnt directed towards you, just backing up your statement.

Yes. Both are the in the same price range(when Air is on sale) but not in the same exact class. Both porable? Yes, but not the same class of portable. I will admit the Air is more Stealth than the SOLO but the Alfa is more Stealth than the Air and SOLO... why are comparing these vapes again? They are all good. Go for what suits you. If you vape primarily at home and on the go occasionally, check out Arizer. If you are mostly on the go, like myself look closely at the Alfa. Its really not who is better these days, its what suits you. Im still learning that myself. We are lucky to have so many choices of great vapes. We do have crap vApes out there but that's what F**K Combustion is for, the rest is up to us guys/gals.

So to sum it up Alfa by Goboof is amazing, Great extraction, easy to use, cool functions, and stealthy as hell aaaaaand low maintenance! !

Past the 2 week marker and still no reply/answer/response from Goboof. What kind of company just shuns customers in this regard? Regretting purchasing this device.

As far as being a 'pax killer', I scoff. Would have had a replacement pax at my doorstep by now, instead of being in a state of limbo. This company has absolutely zero customer service.

My only guess is that I live outside the USA. Perhaps they don't want to pay the international shipping again, so they reffered me back to them, IDK. At any rate, mailed the unit back Dec. 31, express, emailed several times to Goboof. Can't find a phone # anywhere for this company.
Next step I suppose is calling gotvape and just asking for my money back at this point. Ready to buy something from a reputable company. Past ridiculous already. Rant over, sorry guys, just pissed a bit, unit broken/out of service since Christmas Day.

So i had another night with the Alfa and my Air and switched off between both , i noticed i get bigger clouds out of my air vs the alfa. I have tried several different methods of packing the alfa and i am wondering what everyone here is doing to achieve clouds on the alfa ? So far i have packed tight with a fine grind , med and also have tried a loose pack . I also noticed with the alfa that once there is a steady green light to start vaping that it def needs another minute to heat up after that and start extracting well. I also have been starting on med and working my way up to high.

Thats a bummer. I feel your pain. I had to send mine back to where i purchased, but luckily i have some other good choices in my line-up and im not intetnational. Outside U.S. transactions are always tough to deal with. Contact GOTVAPE and ask for your refund. Be persistent and keep bugging them. They are the ones in the wrong at this point not you. All you did was purchase a vape.

A lot of vapes extract to the party late. Dryness of Material, atmosphere temp, an other factors can play a part in biomass heating. One guy here @Mike M says he uses a screen on top of the load too. Have you tried that? The only thing here is that some vapes release less dense vapor when you start adding screens. The clouds can be big but not as dense. I find that with the PAX screen trick big clouds but less dense. Im pretty sure the Airs clouds will be bigger and denser because its a whole different machine. I would say the Alfas clouds are big but for a what it is not for overall vaping. SOLO and Air clouds are in an other league my friend at least in my opinion.

I actually removed the screen from the MP, put a hole in the middle, and stuffed it up to the top of the chamber where the vapor path begins, I find that way, you can draw very hard and not get any particles in your mouth. If the screen is sitting in the MP, particles can block the airway. The first night I had it, it wasn't working well, then figured out the vapor path was blocked.

I have to say, I do love the Alfa, and have had no problems with mine at all.

Mike what is your packing method , are you grinding fine and packing tight ? I did the same before i even used the machine , i took the screen in the mp , cut a hole in it and placed it at the beginning of the vapor path .

I do a normal grind, and I have tightly packed it and loosely packed it, and both have worked fine.
For me, using this product has been a no brainer, if you are having issues I'm wondering if the unit is at fault?

I also have not had to wait longer than the green light, it has always been good to go once it goes on, and always produces tons of vapor.

I start on low, take two or three puffs and then start going up the temps, with good clouds on all temp settings. I feel bad if you are not having the same results, especially after I have praised it so.

Maybe i just have to get used to it more , i am using the same herb i am using in my arizer air and with my air i am getting huge clouds at low temps with the Alfa i get a few clouds at med temp and that's after a few puff's. Maybe my heater is not heating up so well not to sure but when i 1st got my air it took me about a week to get it mastered.

My alfa is a fog machine on medium. Idk how people aren't achieving clouds. Get a business card or any card use that to pour it in then tamp down your fingers keep packing it. Use about .1. As soon as my light is green I can see vapor just oozing out of the MP.

Justpassedu, I would thing about returning it and getting another, for me, there was no learning curve and it worked amazingly right out of the box. This isn't like a Firefly, where it takes you time to learn to use, it should be simple and easy as pie.

I'm having the same exact problem right now, but its not my Alfa. Its the flowers I have. Material can make a huge difference.

All of last night i spent time with the Alfa and no success , i packed it tight and maybe got 6-8 hits out of a session with very light vapor production even on high , after that nothing was coming out. I opened it up and my herb was still pretty green. I think i may have a bad unit that is not heating up properly. I may just send it back and swap it for a mflb since i am pretty happy with my air at the moment. I really do love the size and look of the alfa but i guess it's not meant to be for me. I could prob go through the hassle of getting a new unit which may happen but at this point id rather switch it up and wait until they possibly add a few more features to it and update it. I am hoping got vape does me a solid and helps me out.
