Hello, I'm just getting into the world if vaping before this I just used pipes but recently decided to get a G pen from a friend it was a decent purchase and done what it needed but it left a somewhat heavy smell and turned the herb into ash. I dislike the fact that it's not a true vaporizer and would lile to get one so can you guys recommend me one?

Price- 100$ max

Efficiency- I want to use a medium amount of herb and not use too much a .3-.4 bowl is enough

Stealth- must be stealthy

Smell- must have little to NO smell that is my biggest concern as my apartment been sending emails out complaing about smells and may even look further into it

Temp control- this is optional I would like one if it doesnt have a temp control to heat up to 420F

I looked at the Flowermate V and 5.0s and they boh look good but I would like too look for other choices

Welcome to the site! Yes, the G-pen is more of a no-name china attempt at a vape than a true efficient vaporizer.

Depending on how frequently you clean, smell can be kept to a low level. Though at $100, I'm afraid you're going to have a hard time finding *any* decent vape, let alone a smell proof one.

Of the several portable vaporizers I own, the Indica vaporizer has the lowest smell and the most stealth - there may be more stealth vapes out there, but it's discrete. And with the lid closed, there's really no smell I can find from the vape (Though If I flip open the lid, I can smell her!). I like it's portability - small enough to pack and toss in my pocket on the way to work. Sadly, the Indica is out of your budget.

The Flowermate would be a decent beginner option for your budget, but I can't comment on the smell as I've never handled one. But I'm sure the smell from the mouthpiece would be more noticeable than an Indica with the lid closed!

You know, if you actually do manage to fuck combustion, you'll find you consume less material. For me, my budget has been cut in half - of course this free's up more cash to buy more vapes and more cheap glass! (Damn VAS/GAS!)

A loaded vape will smell on or off. Smell will exist once you start vaping, if you do nothing to mask the smell after vaping/smoking then there's your problem. You were clearly smoking with the GPen if you got ash and that explains the immense smell. Vaping still smells but it dissipates quicker, make sure you get something to actually mask the smell. I recommend essential oils.

I find I can smell the herb in the FM once its loaded, since loading only takes a second I normally just load only when I'm actually going to use. Most vapes you're probably not going to use more than .1g unless you specifically choose to.

There are A LOT of good vapes under $100 IMO, they may not be the stealthy you're looking for but they are discreet. The Imag+ isn't a bad option along with the Flowermate, they will actually vape which is stealthier than smoking but in my opinion if you're vaping near someone they are quickly going to smell the cannabis since if there is no other smell. Assume that is the only smell they smell.

You also have a lot of control with smell, I suggest convection vapes like the VaporGenie, or vapes on demand heat like the MFLB to ensure there is no extra smell when you aren't pulling. Pulling a lot of vapor and exhaling your clouds will cause smell, try rebreathing or taking smaller hits to exhale less vapor.

My list of recommendations,
NO2, Iolite, Hammer, VaporGenie, Lotus, MFLB, Firewood, Imag+, Flowermate, Vapman, Puffit 2, V2 Series 3, Herbstick Deluxe. If you want more info on any, I'll be glad to help. Same with finding them under $100.

I used to do drugs. I still do, but I used to, too
iOlite is your only option I can see under 100.

IMO they are hit and miss devices. I had one that barely produced vapor and my second was a cloud making machine.

Have you considered a Solo? They are bullet proof.

I know they are over budget but I feel its worth the extra dough, because it ticks all your boxes.

My backup vape is a Hebe Titan 2. It's quite small, but has a decent sized chamber, and it is a true vaporizer. It also charges using a common micro-USB, and it has an LED temp display that you can set it to anything you want up to 428F. For reduced smell, lower temps around 365-375 help a lot. Thinner vapor, but far less smell. I picked one up off ebay for around $50.

Your G Pen was combusting, so it wasnt a vaporizer at all. The best affordable real vaporizer IMO is the Vapor Genie.
I know the G pen was combusting lmao

And as of now my top picks are Herbstick deluxe, Imag Plus, Flowermate and the Hebe titan 2

Sounds like you're off to a good start, every one of those vapes has a thread on this website which you can read the feedback

I'd cross the Hebe Titan 2 off our list, seen quite a few people join this website and used that or a rebranded version of it . They all came to look for 'something better'.

And I'm not sure about the herbstick - looks pretty new (history has taught me never trust a newly released vape, they always seem to have 'bugs'....)

The MFLB is in your price range and it comes with a life time warranty. No temperature control.

All vaporizers smell because fresh cannabis smells. It will smell the most while it's first heating up. I find using an oil diffuser works real well to hide any smells. Popping popcorn, toast, hides the smell or other things like a slice of bacon frying up in the pan.

The Solo is out of your price range but with saving on product you would be further a head. Sometimes you can find one as low as $130. Puffitup will price match. I suggest going with them, very good customer service. The first month you will get your money back because the Solo uses less product than the MFLB or other vaporizers. The Solo's smell is average for a vaporizer. It doesn't smell close to combusting though. Nice vapor flavor. Heats goes up to 420 degrees.

You can buy the Vapir No. 2 for $100. It was my first vaporizer, it's kinda big.

The Arizer Air is stealth it doesn't have a huge smell factor but it costs $250 unfortunately and it's relatively new. It kinda looks like an ecig. We haven't heard too much about faulty units which is a plus with a brand new unit to the marketplace. You can't go wrong with Arizer a good company. I think the Air goes up to 420 degrees.

The Indica Noir is a nice little portable it doesn't smell a lot especially with the lid shut. Flavor is where it's at with this portable. The black Noir is sharp looking and a quality vaporizer. It comes with spacers so you can tailor your load size. This unit costs around $200 so it's over your price range.

Well I been researching and I narrowed it down to the IMAG+ or the flowermate v5.0s so either one of these will do but which one is the better between the 2?

As long as you vape in a room with the door closed your apartment will not smell and the odor in the room will dissipate very fast. An exhaust fan helps but not totally necessary.

I've only smoked a few joints in my place in 7 years and that was in the bathroom with a towel under the door and blowing into the fan with a paranoia someone would smell it.

With vaping I can lie in bed watching a flick and as long as the door is closed I know no one will smell a thing and have zero worry about neighbors like I did with combustion.

Imag or Solo, sounds like the Imag is for you if you have stealth and simplicity in mind; sadly I haven't used a Flowermate yet, but hear it's quite similar to the Pax, which I'm not a big fan of :2c:

Both the Imag+( I'm hoping it's the new with the new MP) and FMs are pretty similiar in performance and the way they work. Both don't give off a smell when using or not using. For these 2, it comes down to looks and portability. The FM is heavier, but it's battery lasts longer than the imag+.

My face is melting...
I odors are an issue...and it's about using in your apartment, why not just exhale out a window or into a ventilation fan?

Or get some essential oils and cover that smell up. I don't like have the window open all day in 30 degree weather.

I'm curious about the ventilation fan. Personally couldn't trust any vents if I'm not entirely sure what they are for or where and where else they go.

I can vouch both the FM and imag make my car smell of weed after work with a fresh bowl loaded and not used until I come back. Due to the smell I stopped leaving those vapes in the car unless I want to load and unload on the drive or before/after.

I also think the Imag hits noticeably harder than FM.

I never had the issue. With weed packed and the MP stored in the FM, i can't get a smell ( maybe after a session though). Forgot to mention, I'm using a different MP (eds) for my imag+. No restriction, but gets hot.
