hey guys been a while since I've posted. I like to use the solo for outdoor sports..like snowboarding. But i have trouble loading the glass stems while I'm out on the mountains. what do you guys do when you are out and about?

If you also happen to have a MFLB, the rubber battery caps perfectly fit the stock glass Solo stems. Handy for keeping a spare, pre-packed stem in a pocket or bag. :)

Do you need a different size gong adapter in order to use the solo with a bubbler off of dhgate? I know the PWT is 14mm but most of the bubblers I've seen on dhgate are 18mm.
I searched DHGate untill i found a nice 14mm bubbler...yes harder to find than an 18 but i do beleive 18mm gongs are available...heres my setup...i have posted it before

I've been using 2 glass flowers in my solo stems and doing micro loads. The clouds don't quit, and I'm using less material than ever. Taste falls off a little quicker due to the extra conduction, but I don't mind.

What do you mean by 2 glass flowers? Like those glass screens with 4 holes? To make the bowl smaller?

No, not the discs with holes. They are called glass daisy screens on amazon. I out one under the stainless steel screen and then fill the stem a put another on top of the load

I have a lot of those from my smoking days. I'd use a glass daisy, in a glass hand pipe. I never thought I would use them again, but now you have me considering your idea @KidFated.

Im gunna go grab some from the Local shop and try it out...im guessing it just compresses the bud n makes the clouds thicker while using less bud? Sounds Kinda like a homemade shorty stem...coool

Within one 12 minute session you vape fresh greens, empty it, repack, and vape another fresh greens?

Or maybe 2 preloaded stems?

Sounds like a damn relay race man haha

Seems like alot of work in a small window no?

I don't get what you mean. I do two stems in one 12 minute session. Why is that a relay race? I pack the stem turn on the solo, insert the packed stem wait until up to temp and hit it 5 or 6 times before reloading.

When I say 'fresh' I mean weed that hadn't been vapped. Of course its been dried and cured.

What I mean is IME 6 minutes isnt enough time to vape a full fresh stem(or atleast it would be a rushed process), so i found it interestig that you do it...hard to believe that the stem is all vaped up and ready to be repacked in 6 minutes...no clouds left in that sucka?

Not hating...curious is all

I guess I'm on the 'finishing a stem in 12 minutes is kind of a rush' end of things, but think it's way cool that the same vape can serve 'both extremes' (and everyone between) so well.

And, hey, what about them bubbler guys? They got rights here too.....but once again, Solo seems to hold it's own. Crank it up and plug it in. Powerful machine that way.

Some folks have large lung capacity. I know someone that takes really long draws. Not sure if he could polish off a load in 6 min? I don't think I could keep up. A full stem can last me 2 - 12 min sessions. The Solo saves on my herb bill. If I'm saving for edibles I only run it through the Solo one time. I'm on heat level 4 and some on 5.

When I use my bubbler on high heat I get 1 - 12 min session then the ABV is done, no more goodies left.

Ha re-read my original post. After 5-6 draws I get bored and repack saving the ABV for dry times. I cannot sit there and completely cash a stem. PLUS I do everything fast. Talk fast, eat fast and vape like a high speed train. After the initial taste has gone and the clouds begin to tail off its not satisfying enough to continue.

I can easily do two stems in less than the 12 minute timeout. I'm there to get ripped not gaze out the window trying to figure or how to solve world Peace. ;)

Now you're assuming stuff. I buy my product like many on here so no way I have unlimited Bud. Its just my delivery process and personality at play. Im happy to chug through ABV when I've run out of green.

I think one thing I have found in my many years on FC everyone has different ways of vapping and none are 'wrong' ... just different. I couldn't make a stem last 2 sessions but others do. Different strokes for different tokes.

Just caved and bought a Solo, 160 bucks on eBay after taxes. Can't wait till it's here, any must-have addons I need to get?
Not sure if someone mentioned O-rings? Not sure if it is an upgrade with the new solos. My buddies new solo came in today the serial number starts with M1G2 if anyone has any information.

Hey everyone, brand new Solo owner here! I received it about an hour ago, and since then have been letting it charge and looking up this forum for any information that wasn't contained in the rather lacking instruction manual. I'm currently doing the 4-hour overcharge, and I just want to clear a few things up.

Is the pre-heat at level 7 just to 'set' the heating chamber to size? Although I had to slightly push to put the stem in, it certainly wasn't a struggle and I'm wondering if this step is obsolete in that case.

Also, I've got some O-rings to go with it and I put them on, but my cover won't shut fully. Is it okay to half-close the cover and vape like that?

Second last thing, I've also got mesh screens, plus the finishing grinder of the MFLB. I know that a normal grind is enough for the Solo, but does a finer grind make for a better experience?

Finally, I'd just like to know your preferred methods of vaping from it! Do you like upright or upside-down?

Pre-heat or not. Just use it normally and they will go in easier over time. They may even get so loose they will fall out.

Just tighten the top down onto the o-ring until it's snug. It won't close all the way. In fact, I've found tightening it too much squishes the o-ring and makes it less effective.

I started out with a really fine grind but I've found that I like a medium grind better now. Personal preference on that one thought with the finer material you may get more particles in the stem and possibly in your mouth, even with a screen.

Preheating the Solo to heat level 7 just burns off any impurities from the factory.
The wobbly stem is what gives the Solo the big clouds.

I use my Solo right side up unless I'm using my bubbler.

Me too, I only use the o-ring with my PVHEGonG. I don't like using it with the stock stem right side up. I feel like it cuts down on airflow too much.
