I just wanted to stop by and thank everyone here at FC in helping me make a great decision on my first vape purchase. I really love the solo after using it for 3 months now. I doubt I'll ever go back to joints.

I'm about to give my solo a good clean with some ISO. Is this the best method when it comes to maintenance?

Ya I'm the same. Level 3 was just too light of a high for me. 7 gives pretty good rips and gets me higher faster

@spacehobo Welcome to FC and the friends of the Solo. A very good purchase on your part. It's the vaporizer I suggest to folks new to vaporizing or folks that haven't found the joys of this unit yet.

If you get too much gunk on your stem you can use a combination of salt and ISO.
Some folks use their resined Solo stem in their hot cocoa for a night cap. Just stir and drink.

As you found out the Solo is conservative on herb which saves you $ plus gives your vapor a wonderful flavor. You can spend more on top shelf. Glad you found a healthier lifestyle and many more years on this earth.

A.2) This is what I use
http://www.puffitup.com/Arizer-Solo-Vaporizer-case-p/solovatracase.htm

Im ordering a PVHE GonG, the only problem is i dont know which one to get? Regular, shorty, turbo, ect.

I want to do full water sessions. Im not sure which one would be the best? Paried with SOLO+D020. Can anyone one with PVHE GonGs weigh in?

Edit: I didn't notice, pretty much all out of stock. That website is ALWAYS out of stock on SOLO things...its like they make them and that's it. They dont read sales reports: look at turns, velocity or anything, at least for SOLO accessories.
anyone's help would still be appreciated for when ever PV get items back in stock.
Is that case smellproof?

Hello, I am a new owner of a vaporizer Arizer Solo , I wanted to ask a question that has popped out from the first use. As soon as I warmed to the temperature only 7 began to enact a smell of plastic that even after a few hours in vacuum operation does not go away, or rather decreased, but does not seem to go away. Until that smell does not go away do not feel like using it. To you has happened? And in the case as you solved? To you in fact concerned about this? You'd be grateful if you could give me an answer on this issue, thanks in advance to all

Since you first got it, I would just run a couple cycles to get the smell out. And congrats on your purchase, when everything is figured out you will love it!

Do I understand correctly that you 'drew a vacuum' on the entire Solo? I would advise against doing that to any electronics (let alone ones with batteries) that you don't know is built with vacuum certified components. Not all electronics parts are up to it, I've seen vacuum crack component bodies and break lead seals....not a good thing.

Otherwise I agree, 'enjoy your Solo'. While there might be some smells some can smell outside the vapor path, the path we're concerned with is basically all metal and glass in the heated parts.....which leads to Solo's 'clean taste' reputation I think. Solid design.

Well did 3 bowls on 3 this morning with some coffee. Not very intoxicated but very high. Mostly head and arms are feeling it. Pretty surprised usually do 6+ on level 7. About as high as I want to be before work
Its just a different high, for me atleast...lower temps has my mind feeling crazy stoned and creative but my body not so much...kinda the exact opposite of edibles....

Low temps in the AM raising the heat level throughout the day is awesome

once you accept that clouds arent the the only thing measuring how high you get...vaping is alot more enjoyable... (IMHO)

Still, I blow huge clouds on level 5-7 every night and its glorious

Zion,

Based on your posting, it appears English is a second language for you. No problem.

When you received your Solo, the first thing you should have done is charge it to maximum capacity. When these devices are shipped from the manufacturer, the batteries carry a partial charge and it's up to the new owner to charge the Solo fully before first use.

The second thing you should have done, after charging, is to run the Solo through two complete 12-minute sessions on level 7. This helps to burn off any impurities that may have been left over from the manufacturing process.

Over time, the plastic smell will dissipate and eventually go away.

Welcome to the forum and enjoy your new Solo.

Sorry for my English but as you have suggested to me is the second language. However, even after seven or eight sessions from 12 minutes to level 7 the smell of plastic does not disappear, decreased but still not completely disappeared.

Are you new to vaping? Maybe level 7 is too harsh and your unfamiliar with the taste??

Also when my Solo heats up before I put the stem in it smells a little...like an oven heating up..

I dont mean to imply you dont know what your doing but maybe its normal and your not used to the taste smell of a proper heating element?

Also where did you get your solo?

From what I have heard there are pretty much zero fake Solos out there...so im sure youl get used to it/figure it out!

Goodluck

Are not new in the world of vaporization, I already own a Arizer extreme q, and this when running does not generate these chemical odors. The smell caused dall'arizer only feels only when it is on, when it is off you do not hear anything. The origin of the device is reliable because it is a famous site in Europe where among other things I have already bought. It could be that it is normal, but being accustomed to extreme q that the heating element causes no smell everything seems very strange and causes me concern

I'd would tend to agree with the group in that it should dissipate in time.
To accelerate this, you could continue doing burn offs at power 7. Insert a clean empty stem and do some reverse light blow throughs while unit is hot.
Maybe something did get in there but should still dissipate.
You'll be fine in the end.

Hmm I also own the EXtreme Q and the Solo...they smell the same to me...

At this point I would say keep running level 7 heat cycles until your satisfied with the lack of plastic smell, or contact your supplier for a replacement. If Its a good supplier an exchange shouldnt be too painful

So you vape the same bowl for an hour?

solodolo420 - Sorry I didn't answer yesterday......a bowl will last me all day. 3 'good' hits and I'm happy for about 2 hours and since I can get just about 5-6 highs from one bowl.... that's one full day AND as Dean Martin once said...'that's amore' :brow:

Lately the herb quality has been in a steady 8 to 8.5 range out of 10 for me. I learned 3 hits was enough for me by stopping at 3 and waiting to see the affect. It takes awhile for the full affect to kick in for me and I realized that by the 4th or 5th hit I was feeling pretty good and may not have needed to keep hitting past the 3rd hit. Turned out I was right...only needed the 3 hits and a 5 to 10 minute lag to feel the full affect. Admittedly I may need to take 4 hits when I've already had 3 sessions from the same bowl. And a 'good' hit means letting the burner warm up the bowl first, deeply inhaling and letting some air out and then rebreathing to get every bit of happy out of the hit. I know there are some folks who will debate whether you need to do all that extra rebreathing but it works for me. We debated this not to long ago and called it the LIT technique for LWEINS INHALATION TECHNIQUE

I use LIT by accident a lot of times when I take a "more than average hit" my body knows when its big and doesn't want to let me release it too soon. Yeah "my body." Its automatically programmed to LIT with big rips.
Sometimes, When I take a draw, I let my cheeks puff out right when I let off on the stem and swallow all the air from my puffed cheeks and let it out when im ready. BOOM

Hello, Long time lurker here. I just took the dive and bought a solo. I also bought a pinnacle pro water tool off of dhgate. I want to get a gong adapter, but planetvape is out of stock. So my question is, will I be able to use the pinnacle pro water tool without a gong adapter? is there some kind of DIY or cheap alternative? thanks

Yes go to the Glass forum here and send a pm to vaped&confused in the joda glass thread. He will make you 1 at a reasonable price. If you like wood , you can also purchase a wood stem that is 14mm at http://www.edstnt.com/index_files/woodarizersolovaporstems.htm
