:) Cheers Vitolo. All those pieces look pretty used haha.

I got a dispatch email today for 2 more additions to the family. A new LB with the catch thingy as a replacement & a special one I'm excited about.

Man, I haven't seen a pic of the LaunchTube in a long while. Really got into it with MF when they first introduced it. ;)

Just purchased an MFLB from PuffItUp, can't wait for it to get here. Never owned a vaporizer before and have only vaped a handful of times but I really wanted to make the switch for the health benefits. Plus this little wooden box looks amazing!

I have very severe respiratory problems due to my asthma and I have no doubt that it has been inhibited by my 3 years of combustion on a daily basis. Here's to stronger lungs, less wheezing and more vaping in the future. Cheers.

Thanks a lot Vitolo. I've been a long time lurker and I find myself idling in the IRC chat a decent amount but I finally decided that I should register when I made my purchase tonight. I got the 6 battery kit here with the promotional code "batteries" to get an additional two batteries free. I'd say thats a pretty good deal for 118.99$ out the shipped.

Magicflight, are you guys going to bring out a video of the adapter while in work? This thing looks elegant. :o

good deal, curious as to what charger you get, please post as i have some friends interested in a good deal on the LB. Myself am way happy with the Powerex MH-C9000 but can't expect something like that in a package deal... :-P

I too would love an adapter like that! I am using mine with tubing and it's awkward to use this way. But MFLB through glass is a great experience :)

what size water pipe do you put it through tstat? I use the 1 foot silicone whip to make the connection and plug the rest of the bong stem with my finger.

I have an 8.5 inch tall mini zong, and it find the airflow restriction a bit too much to get slow and steady filling personally.

maybe you have some technique tips?

=================================================
@ magic flight: nice work on the adapter, it looks really slick!

that adapter you showed us, does it form a perfect seal with the adapter without any need for a little stem to connect the 2? it's easy to hold firm? I was wondering if it would be easier to handle if we introduce a desktop whip between the adapter and the mflb? (im going to want one hand on my bong, and then the other holding on the PA button/battery.

nice idea for us btw! my bong is not a ground glass stem type, will this adapter will work for my bong or do i need a new down stem?

=================================================
also, I wanted to make a general comment about the Power Adapter for the MFLB.

I heeded the suggestions of everyone saying to use it at half power because the hotter just seems to make it taste burned faster.

Here is a lil PA temperature setting tip that I am not sure if anyone else is using:

I took some nail polish and turned the adapter up to full power. I marked this spot (the max or top setting over by the + sign) with the nail polish putting a little red line across the wheel. I then dialed it down and discovered that when you turn it so it is on the other end of the opening this is about the half way point on the device. It also happens to be the sweet spot I like to run my PA at now. :ko:

This way I always know my PA is dialed in at the temp i like it at! :D

=================================================

additional comments on the PA:

a slight gripe with the power adapter is i find that sometimes the power button likes to stay on after i have already let go. I need to click it a few more times and it will come back out.

oh and I also found that where the cable attaches to the battery adapter is a little nit picky. i once had to wiggle that to make the unit turn on. (I was already holding the power button on but there was no power until i wiggled the cable.)

overall I love the unit and have only use batteries when a power outlet was not at my disposal.

 @ Vitolo

Thats a good idea with the dial Weedemon. I do something similar & have marked my fave temps but I think your idea is better.

Yeah that is what got me started with MF too. I remember being completely blown away by the step up from the LT to the LB though. Had an all too rare go of the LT yesterday & it's a lovely vape.

I have got into using the LB-PA late at night relaxing on the sofa & it is lovely to puff away with the trenches lasting ages & tasting lovely. When I'm not puffing it sits on my chest. I think the LT would be even more perfect in this type of use with the PA. It is nice to see the vapour swirling about & 'milking' the chamber and I think you can get more in the trench.

Thanks VWF I see what you're thinking. Not sure I could do it as I'm not very handy like that but I'm sure it would be possible. Hmmmmm I'm off to find out what a dremel is.

Hey everyone!

I just figured I share a little trick with everyone who doesn't have the new ball-bearing mechanism and who hates using the rubber bands in transit!

It is essentially a wooden cover for your trench that goes below the plexi-glass and above the o-ring! The greatest part about this design is that even if the plexi-glass slides in your pocket (which would ordinarily spill the trench) the wooden cover still covers your entire trench and is held in place nicely by the cover (even if it has slid!).

All I did was measure the diameter of the circular cutout in the MFLB's wood, made a circle of the same size on a piece of paper, traced the circle onto a very thin piece of balsa wood (available at any craft store), and cut it out!

When I made mine I also cut a small notch in the wood to be able to lift it out, but this proved to be unnecessary. The air-intake notch on your MFLB provides just the right amount of space to pop the cover off with a fingernail!

I hope this helps someone out there!

Cheers, and happy vaping!

I literally keep looking at the beta water adapter pics and drooling ha. This little box has made me such a nerd... and I've shown a couple of my friends and they're like "whoa." What's funny, is I've had a gog adapter with a whip for quite some time... but still... this one's official... and sexy. And wood.

and I'm ripped off combustion... I know; I'm bad. I'm prepping some magic box dust to make up for it.

And sorry mods, now I know.

I am going to get the Water adapter, because it is MFLB! (and me with no glass).
Now I am in the market for a clear glass simple bong, with a downstem (14 is fine)
No ripples, wrinkles, bulbs or winds in the road.. this is strictly to see some fog.
Went to the headshop and saw a very reasonable one... for 60 bucks- looks like this but without the twists, and as I said it has a grommet ,which I decided is OK for my use. (Oh and it does not have the combustion bowl seen on this image.) Heck, I may even search the resell thread here one more time!

The perfect ones would be the cans like TORO and SGW put out... but that's an investment... like same price as a volcano digi and then some investment.... it's their minis. If anyone knows of cheaper brands, drop some names, but those are the only kind I've seen... they're super easy to milk and very compact with stellar diffusion.

but that's a nice piece, Vitolo... and won't tear your pockets to shreds and feed them to other money-hungry dogs haha.

A user also posted pics a while back of the box used with the perc sold at the SSV website... it comes with a sherlock attachment, so it's a bubbler when all together. However, that's at a 90 degree angle, which would screw with the angle of the official unit... unless they make both a 90 degree and 45 degree adapter...

what say you, magic flight?

you guys should just make an old school wood-shop bong and sell it... we'd buy it.. and it would go with the decor.

Another option is looking for a local glassblower. you may see some savings doing that and they could do custom pieces.

I use the SSV bubbler with my SSV obviously but would love to use it with the MFLB. Magic flight said earlier they will be designing different angle joints eventually. Cant Wait!!

In regards to your questions, yes, we will eventually be able to offer multiple angles. Some of the combination of stem and angle probably will not happen until this fall, though. Mostly, we are still trying to get the main types setup.

I'm guessing it comes with just the default charger that comes in the tin? I'm not all that familiar and didn't realize they came with different chargers. The batteries seem as if they are just a bonus included separately from the tin with all the stock items. Could be wrong though.

Thanks VWF I see what you're thinking. Not sure I could do it as I'm not very handy like that but I'm sure it would be possible. Hmmmmm I'm off to find out what a dremel is.

please don't hurt yourself, but i would perhaps drill a hole then two slots down to it, creating a slot wide enough for the PA's "battery" (using a cut-off wheel on a dremel to cut the slots from the open end to the hole i'd drilled)

but safer (?) idea might be to get an AA battery box or battery holder, and put the PA's battery into it, and have two wires coming to alligator clips, clip one to the Launch Tube, and just touch the other one to the other post (you wouldn't use the battery holder).

probably need to insulate the alligator clips, possibly by sticking them into short lengths of whip tubing or the soft grip from a pen...? at least the one you're handling

you could get burnt by electricity, or lose a finger following my instructions, so please don't go beyond your own abilities. cutting slots with a dremel requires properly securing the piece in a vice of some kind, and having a firm grip on the tool, and drawing lines to follow, and never deflecting the wheel as they snap and shatter easily (so wear goggles and work so that pieces flying off are going away from your face, not towards it - very tempting to pick up your glasses and watch the cut as it happens, not smart if particles are flying towards your eyes, keep your glasses down, and turn the wheel / work around so stuffs flying away not towards, and cut so stuff is away from your hands).

Where can I find the bubbler attachment for sale as shown in this vid?

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4PY0C7J29Zg

I just ordered the MFLB from Blissville and would love to get my hands on that bub, apparently only $3.50, but I can't find it anywhere. The water pipe attachment seems really awesome, but I don't piece that would work with it.

Also I notice in some vids it says that the stem is optional.. does that mean you can use the MFLB without a stem at all? I actually bought the LB for the sake of being very discrete, so if this were the case that would be awesome..
