Discontinued Pinnacle Pro

Mainly been using setting 3. Ill try varying the amount I fill to see if that works

Just to clarify, Ive just been using it on setting 3 and I got the 3 cascading green lights then it turned off after a few minutes

Start at one or two, and end with three if you really want it. Remember, the higher temps release more of the sedating ingredients, where as the lower temps get you "higher".

It's all about preference, so enjoy and have fun :)

My relatively-new Pinnacle Pro appears to have stopped working, and I just wanted to see if others have had this problem. I purchased a Pinnacle Pro less than a month ago, and it's been working fine up until today -- it suddenly just stopped powering on and instead flashes red lights in a "zippering" way. The red lights flash like 5 times whenever I try to turn it on, and then the unit reverts back to "off".

The unit charges fine and is fully charged, but it will not power on. Just the red lights, and it won't heat/stay on. It's completely unusable at the moment.

Has anyone else had this problem?

I also want to point out that it has not been dropped, misused, or mishandled in any way at all. Like others here, I take care of my stuff. And that's part of what makes this all the more surprising (and annoying). I was under the impression that the Pinnacle Pro had a reputation for being a fairly solid portable vape. I know that I was happy with it.... until today.

I'm thinking maybe I screwed myself here, because I bought it new on eBay, and I'm not sure VaporBlunt will honor the warranty because of this. But needless to say, if I end up being out the cash on this and have nothing but a defective unit after only a few weeks of use to show for it, I won't be buying another VaporBlunt product (authorized retailer or not).

Any words of wisdom on this problem? Thanks in advance for the input :)

If you bought through eBay theyoyokid1 you shouldn't have a problem.

The no 1 problem with the PnP is that it's not solid enough. The design is very, very good IMHO, but the choice of materials have proven problematic.

Imagine the upgraded version. It is perfect for stealth the way it looks now, but hard to use as a true portable due to it not being sturdy enough.

The bullet system is so smart. It shouldn't look like bullets tho, because that attracts the wrong attention for those of us not from a place where you can get an AR-15 while grocery shopping haha

Well I've had my PnP for just over a year now, out of warranty, and the battery is past it's best. Mine was only lasting 4 full sessions, and shutting down during the fifth session (unable to maintain temp).

I decided I had nothing to lose, so I changed the battery. I dissassembled the unit, and before disconnecting the battery connector I plugged in the charger hoping that would maintain the calibration settings. After removing the battery connector the leds started flashing in a way I had not seen before. I just ignored this and carried on. I removed the self adhesive insulators and cut the battery wrap. Next I lifted the pcb off of the positive side of the battery to gain access to the battery positive connection. I used pliers to peel off the metal strips spot welded to the battery. I soldered the new battery to the metal strips, pushed the pcb back into place and reapplied the insulators. I then wrapped the battery with electrical insulation tape and reassembled the unit.

I left it to charge for a few hours and used it last night. Success! It lasted 6 full sessions, with one bar left afterwards.

The battery I used was one common with e-cig vapers, a Samsung 18650 25R 2500mAh button top battery. This battery is capable of 35A pulse for 10secs, so it can handle the 3A of the PnP easily.

I noticed the heat up times to be much quicker too, especially from the 4th session onwards.

I hope this helps people with battery problems who are out of warranty.

My first vape was a PP, I loved it and it was good enough to help me give up a 20 year smoking habit, but unfortunately it broke within 6 weeks of me buying it, I'd bought it from ebay USA and as I'm in the UK the guy I bought it from just flipped the finger at me when I asked for him to sort it out. As said, I loved the PP, the shape and size of it is great, I loved the bullets etc, but it really did feel flimsy, the collar where you fit the mouthpiece cracked on mine within a couple of weeks!

Anyhow, I bought a Davinci Ascent to replace it and found it to be a really sturdy unit compared to the PP, I've since bought a MiniVap which I now use as my daily (great vape) but I still sorta miss the PP as a portable.

So, my question is, have they improved the quality of the PP in terms of the materials they use to make them? I'm tempted to buy another but obviously don't want it braking within a couple of months again!

To answer your question, No. Currently, the PP is going through a redesign that is expected to be released May of this year. If you purchased now, you would receive the same PP unit. However, you should be able to receive product support from Vape Fiend. I believe they handle UK returns for VaporBlunt.

Love my PNP! Bought a Haze as a backup and it just does not have the clouds the PNP does. It is very tasty and cool vapor though.

I mentioned before that I use the whip from the Plenty ($15) and it works amazing for cooling the vapor. It even seems as if you get much bigger clouds. It works way better than the PNP water tool IMHO and without water!

Ah, might be worth holding on then!

As for sending it to Vapefiend, as much as he's fantastic in terms of customer service, I wouldn't feel right asking him to deal with a warranty issue for a unit that he didn't sell, I've just chalked it down to experience and will only buy direct or from VF now, buying from the US on ebay was silly!

Never thought about the bullet looking like a bullet, imagine these in the airport scanner.
Still love the design of the bullet, cant wait for the updated version.

I am having the exact same issue as to what you've written here. About a month ago I went to use my PP and it refused to heat up. Instead flashing red lights and then every other colour before it switched off. I could use it while plugged in but not off the charger. I contacted Namaste Vapes here in the UK and explained it had stopped working. They issued me an RMA. Then when I went to clean the unit to send back it magically started working again. Unbelievable. I didn't really want to send it back because I intended to use it over Xmas and New Years just been. But ever since the flashing lights issue the battery life sucks. I mean I'll barely get 3 small sessions from it before it cuts out. Previously I could get a good 6 sessions at least.

Also regularly when it cuts out and stops working I'll plug it in and it displays that the battery is nearly full. Like 3 or 4 blue lights displaying. There's obviously some kind of common fault here. I'm in the process of emailing vaporblunt to see if they will issue a RMA. I'm not sure who will be handling this though as the battery only has a 1 month warranty but I believe it's a component fault so feel Namaste should honour their warranty.

Has anyone else had an experience like this?

Update after 7 months of use. Originally bought from Massdrop.

Let's just back up and start with how crappy the company is.
  • The Massdrop was suppose to ship with a glass lined mouth piece, which I did not receive.
  • I emailed Vaporblunt Dave, he promised to ship out "tomorrow morning" countless times, 7 months later and 5 shipment attempts later, I still did not receive the mouthpiece.
  • The battery only lasted about 10 minutes, so I always have to use it plugged in since the second month.
And now, my wall charger broke. I'll put the blame on me since I used my charger in the car since I can't use it without. The cold made the cheap cable brittle, and the cable literally just snapped in two. (-20c weather).

Which brings me to my question. Does anyone know if the PnP uses a proprietary charger or if it's something I can grab from an electronics/hardware store. Does anyone know?



I know better then to buy from them now lol. Since their last Massdrop that I participated in, they had a few others, which sold NONE. I'm so fucking happy, I'm hoping to see them fail as a business in the new year.





Also, a tip for heating up faster. With the -20c weather, it would take me like 10 minutes to actually heat up to level 3. The trick is to put the pnp between your thighs, that way the heat doesn't escape that much. Heats up in less than a minute.

Im guessing your in the UK. If your in the EU, you have a two year warranty with the unit, due to european consumer law. Im not certain without reading the directive whether this would apply to the battery or not.

Sometimes you need to move on if you aren't happy. A lot of portables only last so long. The battery has a 90 day warranty. Some folks really like this vaporizer. VB will be coming out with some new products in 2015. They probably aren't going anywhere.

Did you go through theyoyokid1 off eBay? I would deal with them if I wanted to buy this product. That doesn't help you now, but may help someone else. Everybody seems to like this vendor, very good customer service. I haven't heard anybody on FC that was unhappy with the their service.

What else is out there that's superseded this device? I wouldn't buy a second one. Though I might consider their next product if it seems like they've learned from the mistake of this one.

You are within your rights to, yes. Its a little known directive that states all consumer goods in the EU must have a minimum of two years warranty.

Im having a bit of an issue with the charger for the unit working intermittently. I have to position it so its charging and cant move it as it stops charging if moved. Only been using it since new years day and think its a fantastic vape but my god is the charger starting to piss me off, especially as this is my tool to stop smoking tobacco.
Is this common guys?
Am I right in assuming its the charger?
