Hey FCers, got an Air a week ago from vaporizers.ca(199$). Not liking its free-flowing design, I've restricted airflow to try to reduce MP temp, increase vapor density & extend battery life. I may have found some improvements by throttling the air inlet but wonder if somebody with experience with different Solos/Air could chime in on airflow?

You could buy a turbo mouthpiece from Planetvape either the longer Solo mouthpiece or the GonG turbo made for the Solo. The GonG may get hot but it's short like the Air mouthpiece the plastic part won't work though on the end. Not sure how hot on the lips.:o

I will try that out later. Maybe someone else has? Chime in if you have used the Solo GonG with the Air.

EDIT
Slow draw will get you where you need to be with this unit for sure.

Slow Draw.

I know I see the signs as well. I'm thinking of selling the pax to help rally the money. Sometimes it's just not reliable. I will be glad when this vacation is over so I can get back to a more regular routine. During the week I abstain and I put everything away so I'm not tempted. That's better for me; more out of sight out of mind.
But this little new peice looks so cute

I hope Im not becoming addicted to buying vapes. Lol

I feel your pain... I just bought the Air as my first vape, and I really like it! Problem is that I'm now curious to see what all the competition performs like :p

like everything, different products for different needs! competitive markets are a good thing for everyone :)

Just ordered an Air + extra battery for $200 US shipped :) it says its back ordered but I can wait.
I'm just glad i got in on the Boxing Day sale as I missed out on the Black Friday one because i was low on cash.
Ive been lurking on this thread for at least two months so i could save up and get this cheap as a Christmas present for myself. Success! and i think my solo will make a great Valentine's Day gift for someone special I know :)
Thanks for all the reviews and info FC!

That Is great you abstain during the week. Much respect for that, But keep that in mind when you go for the very convenient vapes because it will cause you to want to vape more. To me its like when a person gets purely into concentrates, (people who dont "mess with" flowers.) I t becomes real easy.

Collecting vaporizers can be an expensive hobby more ways than one.

I personally don't like the skins, but that might be just me. I had my blue skin on for a few days. I took it off and didn't put it back on. I thought it was too much of a bother. I like the looks of this unit without the skin. I haven't noticed any scratches so far. This unit feels like it's made of the same shell that the Solo has. The skins are hard to take off IMO.

Those that order save the $ and buy an extra battery and stem.

If you buy it from www.vaporizers.ca it is on sale for $200 CA and when you throw in $20 for the battery and $10 for shipping to the US it comes out to $230 CA = $200 US. I was considering getting an extra MP as well but i have many solo attachments that can serve as replacements

And yes its a reddit reference  i assumed there would be some overlap here. /r/vaporents got me into vaping (along with links to FC) and convinced me to get a solo about 2 years ago. I saw soloman's video posted to reddit somewhere and knew i wanted to check out the Air and I realized there was already like 30 pages of material here! I didnt realize i was so out of touch with vape news and i joined up fast to remedy that.

Im still getting my degree but my dream job would be to engineer a vape because it involves the two things i love most in the world: :science: + :leaf:

I used the PVHE turbo stem made for the Solo through Planetvape with the Air. It really helped with the airflow and with the harshness. I used green temp level with very little irritation and great airflow. I thought I had a turbo GonG but I don't.

I will try out my Solo GonG with the Air and see how hot it gets. More testing required......;)
EDIT
I tried my 18mm Solo GonG with the Air and it doesn't get too hot. It is more harsh because of the shorter air path. The airflow is better with the GonG and it's not a turbo. So a turbo would even be better airflow. I also used a battery that had been sitting for a couple of weeks and it still had juice left. Not sure how much left because there is no battery indicator.:hmm: It would be worth it to buy the GonG IMO. I don't notice any stretching.
** I did notice stretching with the Ed's WonG.

I find that when I stop for a few days it's better for my tolerance which I think is pretty up there and portion control becuz I don't want to empty out the fridge and sleep (I stay up more when I'm baked - I know that's different from most people). But the holidays

That looks like that could be attached to anything. Thats rocking hot. This device will outsell probably every other device if it isn't that harsh with the MP and that always works when you're on the go. If you just turn that upside couldn't it go right in the D020? I'm getting to far ahead of myself but a picture is worth a 1000 hits lol

I enjoy the Air stock stems too. I like the plastic mouthpiece. Very user friendly and comfortable. Some folks were wondering about some other options due to the slightly restricted airflow.

The turbo GonGs were an idea, but the plastic mouthpiece wouldn't work because of the threadied end. The extended mouthpiece helps with any harshness but then you don't have the stealth factor.

Guess im in the fewer than who love the air stems stock. I love the size stealth and the plastic tip feels very comfortable.

Well I only have the iolite to compare to but I am loving it stock. When this starts selling on many sites and they start making custom stems and parts specifically for the air, Ill give them a try for sure. Very happy with my purchase!

In the past 24hrs I ordered enano and arizer air. You could say I got a strong case of VAS but im going to be in the sale thread soon enough. Im not into collecting, just want a great desktop and portable; thinking enano and air might be the winning ticket.

Went with silver this time, really like the black+silver finish. Was double minded, when I bought a solo I choose black since I thought it would be more stealthy. That black+silver pulled me in.

I wont be using anything that might stretch out the oring (eds or solo gear). I really want to just use it for portability and hope the stem will stay snug (as many have reported).
