Yes, I will be posting pics as they are ready. That's why I made this thread.

The full sized fc-186 matrix pillar pictures should be coming soon. Pricing isn't decided yet.

I'll keep you guys updated as progress is made.

So are u just making your own with them or is it open to the community to weigh in on?

Designs are open for discussion and opinions. Production decisions and other unnecessary, behind-the-scenes things, are not. This is a design idea/picture thread, not a business one, seeing as nobody here is making any money off of any of these pieces anyway.

That said, if anyone has any preference as to who makes a piece, they can send just get a free dhgate account, and send them a message. Most of the good sellers reply pretty quickly.

Here's my concept for a hookah-style birdcage bubbler.

What I'm after is something that can stay on the table, with my Solo situated on top using the 18mm female joint (using a PVHES adapter or similar). I would then use a 14mm hookah hose with 14mm male end and connect that to the 14mm female joint.

With this style of bubbler, I wouldn't have to handle a complete bubbler / Solo water pipe assembly, as you would with a FC-187 or something similar. The entire bubbler / Solo assembly would stay on the table (less chance of dropping) and I'd simply have a hookah hose to draw from.

What do you folks think of something like this?

I was thinking of something like that just last night, a hookah bubbler with a centered joint would be terrific. It might be a good idea to have the can wider and shorter like the atomic bubbler for that extra stability. Only qualm I have with the atomic bubbler is how they have the intake joint both off to the side and at an angle.

?? Are you saying the Mobius Atom has the intake joint off to the side and at angle?
So, an inverted vape, will not stand straight up??
Can you post a pic of yours please, with a vape on--to see how much of an angle? Thanks

What @SSVUN~YAH said, I've got one of those. feels a bit precarious with the solo hanging off the side, but otherwise it works great

Yeah something like this. There should definitely be some demand on that. but like @Trogdor said: reduce the height. Super simple design except for the matrix. Should be doable to make that and sell for $25-$35.

Maybe go with something else than a matrix perc to reduce cost further.

A 18mm female joint for the outlet would look cleaner IMO

Love Love Love this. Would like this in a recycler, incycler, pretty much anything. By far the most comfortable/least like way to break stuff way that I've found to vape. Great concept and thanks!

I'm happy to see I'm not the only one that would like to have a hookah-style desktop bubbler.

Using a picture of my freshly rinsed FC-187, I took some of your folks' suggestions and shortened the can while also making it wider.

Does this look better?

I'm just guessing, but since something like this doesn't really exist, an enterprising glass blower might have some success in manufacturing and selling these. So how would we go about asking our friends in China to make something up?

You would get water in the hose, no way of avoiding it without a bigger can or less diffusion. I get water in the MP of my FC-187 when the water and RB is fresh.

Do you guys remember the GBD Bubbler with removable MP?

I use a Silicone stopper + whip, makes almost all my pieces whip accessible. Makes it so much easier to get a good look at your percs firing or to record a video w/o your face in the shot.

That looks nice. Is it still available for purchase?

I have a newbie question. Does glass on glass make it a much better experience than using silicone tubing. The reason I am asking is that I was looking at the evo but wanted to use my own piece. They have the tubing for their vaporizers but most videos I see is with the hydratube on top. Thanks for any insight

Don't hesitate to use the EVO inverted in your own piece, it's the ONLY way I use my EVO. You will only have to use a whip attachment when you want to use concentrates with the VXNail, since you can't invert it then.

Allows for many more options in your glass selection.

IDK, but I don't recommend them. Mine broke while I was at work, just sitting on a table, 3 months after purchase. Right along the bottom where the leaning showerhead was braced to the can. The blowers response was he could give me a discount on my next purchase,. Sorry, still pisses me off.

For the same price I paid, you can buy 4 decent pieces from DHGate. None have broken from just sitting on a shelf.

I wouldn't mind another piece that takes a GonG MP connection. Really like the Atom Perc bubbler above, but I prefer a dewaar downstem.

The last time I spoke to him, he said he had an extra one and asked if I wanted to buy it (it was sandblasted with Jesus loving beer), so he might still have one in stock. It can't hurt to email him.

Here's the original thread.

:peace:

Is glassblowers direct too still active? I clicked on the link in the original thread you posted.
I get their main page but cannot enter.
thanks

This seems to have gotten a lot of positive feedback. It is also an easy change to make on a design Steven already has. I understand many of you would be using it with a whip but I feel like it should come with a mouthpiece too. What would you guys like for the mouthpiece? And should that joint be 14mm or 18mm
