according to the manufacturer(in very broken english) the oven isn't brass and any brass components are lead free.........i'd post the e mail but dunno the rules on that as when i was in a dialogue with namaste vapes i wasn't allowed to put any of them up.

Like most, I'm curious about the materials used and look forward to an FC vet's demo but
it's a smart form factor for public use, and I imagine this sort of "hidden in plain sight" model will pop up more and more as time goes on.
The Puff-it was an attempt at this, as was the Indica(more so with my stealth straw idea
), the Haze even looks a bit like a flask from a distance, all to transition cannabis use into the mainstream, cool!

According to the e mails the vaporcup was designed in Los Angeles. No word on where it was assembled. Components are all safe according to the e mails. I wish i had the money right now to buy one as i like yhe form factor very much. Back i go to the emails to ask more questions. Does anybody have anything they'd like to ask? kinda looks like thy took a Vapir NO2 internals and put a new body on it IMO that is and that counts for not very much

It looks like they took a $100 vape, stuck it in a cup, and charge $250 for it? Really? To each their own, I guess. Maybe they read about people doing that with the Solo and saw a money making opportunity.

I'd like to know if this is a convection or conduction vape. It looks like conduction to me, but I've been wrong before. It would be a shame to have all that internal space and not use it for convection.

Ive never been, but might go this year just for fun.
I think there is a smoking area, if you have the legal documents (Recommendation or Card)
I did not know the difference between convection and conduction in vaporizers, but after looking it up, I would say that this is probably correct to be considered a hybrid.
If you put the herbs in the internal heat chamber I would think it would act as hybrid because the heat chamber touches the herbs directly with heat but also hot air is drawn through it.
If you put the herbs in the glass straw that inserts into the chamber, and the herbs don't touch the heat chamber, it would be mostly convection.
I may have misunderstood the difference between the two, but that is my guess.

Regardless of which type it actually is, the VaporCup definitely "grabs you by the boo boo" (as Chong would say). Last night I did two glass straw sessions and was pretty much laid to waste. (in a good way).
I played music for about three hours.
I tend to go for Sativas, as they are better for actually functioning.
My current supply of Jack Herer has a super awesome effect while keeping your higher functions.
Regardless of what people might think about the design etc., all I can say is that it works.
I happen to like the design. It was sitting right in front of a friend of mine who never gave it a second thought until I pointed it out to him. That is good stealth.
I am not super worried about being caught out with a vape as I am a legal patient, but it is nice that I can leave it on the shelf and the cleaning lady isn't going to notice it at all.
I am not a teenager, so it is great to not have to hide everything away every time you use it.
Just one FYI, if you try a VaporCup with the glass straw, be careful when you reload as the end of the glass straw gets a bit hot. I guess that is common sense, but when you are well medicated you might not be careful with it.

Assembled in China but they apparently do their own QC. The broken english in the emails and the way they're worded make me hella suspiscious. But i'm a stoner and getting on in years so maybe i'm just a cynical paranoid mess!!!!

I asked them a few questions and the answers were not in "broken english".
Seemed pretty much normal to me.
I was talking to a guy named Michael, but maybe you talked to someone else.
Then again, maybe you are a "paranoid mess"... LOL
Most things today are made in China.
In fact, almost everything in stores is made in China.
My company manufactures a lot of stuff there.
You just have to use a really good factory and there is no issue.
They are really careful these days with quality etc, mainly because stores here have really really strict quality guidelines.
To sell in most stores here you have to have super high quality control and testing.
My company spent about $300,000 on testing last year.
It really hurts to do, but if you want to sell in America it is what is required.
I just bought a Mandolin that was made in China, and it totally rocks.
It is as good as mandolins costing several thousand more that are USA made.
I think China has had to up their game as smaller countries are on their heels in manufacturing.
I bet that soon you will see a lot of stuff being made in Vietnam and Indonesia.
The rise of the middle class in China means that workers pay will have to increase, thus cost of product must follow.

thy do tend to um how do i put it.........copy stuff........so expect a slew of cup shaped vapes soon was my only point really. If you wanna keep a good design secret then don't have it manufactured in a country renowned for copying good ideas IMO

Japan is known for copying good ideas and making them even better. China is known for using inferior materials to counterfeit known brand name merchandise. Quite a different thing, eh? Now that's not to say that everything coming out of China is inferior product, but they have one helluva reputation to overcome.

Wow. I had not realized the NO2 price had dropped so much.
I bought mine a few years ago and it was $250.
I am guessing that when you bring out a new one you have a reasonable but highish price to recoup the tooling charges etc, and then when your "version 2" comes out the price of the first one comes down.
Now the "VapirRise" has taken the $250 price point and the NO2 is cheaper.
Has anyone tried the VapirRise?
That multi whip attachment looks like a party waiting to happen.
