You guys must not smoke like that because a true Sativa has a head dominate high that is uplifting and makes your brain more in a fog. A indica dominant strain will produce a body high that makes you more tired. Your telling me you don't notice the difference between a haze or sour diesel versus a master of bubba kush??

Yes, exactly what I'm saying. I'm
Open to chatting more privately if you'd like but I get the feeling we need to stay Craftycentric

So aside from the science I can say from my experience that weed is weed. I've never noticed any different effects between indica and sativa. Not even remotely. I do notice the difference between say 10% THC weed and 25% THC-but the only difference was in terms of needing more or less to relieve symptoms. Absolutely no discernable difference whatsoever....snip

me too. I never noticed any difference.......maybe we are aliens......

To the people who don't notice a difference between indica and sativa. Are you smoking street buds? Or are you going to a dispenary? Whenever you have a chance get a hold of some true sour diesel or haze, anything sativa dominant and then get a bud of bubba or master kush, anything indica dominant and smoke them first thing in the morning one day apart and tell me you don't notice a difference between the two. The only time I was NEVER able to notice a difference was the first few years I started smoking high grade medicinal quality buds. Everything got me so high I never noticed. It's until you've smoked daily for so many years and can easily distinguish one strain from another just from smelling or tasting it. That's when i became a real connoisseur and true believer of this amazing plant. That is when you can tell each plant from another. Just how a wine expert can taste a wine and guess how long it was aged or what kind of grapes were used. How long have you guys been smoking for who can't tell?

Yup. It's kinda called, "Developing a taste". I remember when I first got into sipping single malt scotches. When I first got into it, I couldn't tell the difference from one to the other, but after awhile the taste differences became really obvious. Same with wine. Same with cigars, and I would imagine, same with herbs.

Edit: Sorry Stu. I know this is the Crafty thread, but I find it damn near impossible not to respond to off topic discussions. Seems to be one of my addictions. :uhoh:

Edit-Edit: Go go go Crafty !!!!

As for alcohol, I don't notice a difference in effect from different alcohols, but I notice some get me drunk quicker, like wine when I haven't had that in a while.

As for bud, I notice all kinds of differences from the sativa/indica thing to the different temps and even different vapes thing.

we don't have dispensaries here (Europe), we are forced to grow our own or buy from the street. so I'm growing. I did a test a couple of years ago,
when I grew some kali mist, and then some aurora indica.

afaik, they are on the extreme side of sativa and indica.
I could see the difference in the leaves. kali had the small long leaves like fingers, and the aurora leaves where short and thick.
so if there were to hit differently there should definitely be a difference........or so I thought.
ah, and I don't get "so high" anymore.

maybe there are people who just can't feel the difference, like color blindness which I also have btw.

I go where the thrills are
I've always found the differences dramatic and undeniable. I stage my strains...sativa for afternoons, hybrids in the evening, indicas late at night. God help me if I screw up and hit an indica, or even an indica-heavy hybrid before 8pm. Not much movement on my part in that event.

If it weren't for my buddy Jack Herer my afternoons would be really boring.

Kinda sad when he passed away about 4 years ago. He also designed a pretty nice dual chamber wooden pipe:

Different herb takes different temperatures too. I tend to lean towards Hybrids and Indicas. I don't use straight Sativas much. Super Lemon Haze is a Sativa Hybrid, I do like that strain.

Almost there...
I can tell the difference between two strains, Sativa and Indica.
It is a bit more difficult to tell if it is a hybrid of the ratio is close.

No matter what temp I vape Sativa at, I get an anxious feeling that lasts for a very long time and I do not sleep very well

Indica's I can vape at a lower temp and get the same racy feeling but soon the sedative effects take hold and everything calms down. Vaped at a high temp the effects are awesome and exactly what I need.

This is strange because when I was young we only smoked Sativa's and now I cannot tolerate them well at all!
I have only been on the Indica/Indica dom hybrid strain train for about a year now and am not looking back!!

Have noticed that some Indica's have some pretty strong vapeover effects in the morning... Be careful not too overdo it!
